Yeah, its just single player is completely boring to me.... I'm thinking it might be more fun on multiplayer. Would we need to rent out a private server? I don't know if it would host well from my laptop.

We need an unofficial server for this, like the Minecraft one. It would be a lot more fun if we could play multiplayer. Random servers online are filled with griefers and annoying people...

Mobs aren't spawning anymore... except for squid, they seem to be okay.

You can't explain the appeal of it, its just there. I got the game because I watched SeaNanners' Lets Plays on YouTube. You should watch those and a few more, such as zXNoRegretzzXz's. Is it easy to build stuff? Depends on what you build. You can build a 5x5 shack or spend 10 hours building a complex castle or manor. Or you could focus on creating some fun ideas. Someone made a mini-golf course, I've made a movie theater with wolf actors, the possibilities are endless. Minecraft is only limited by your creativity. Is there much resource management? Yes, unless you don't care about resources (which is stupid). Rare resources are the most valuable and the most useful usually. Also without stocking up on items such as torches and coal you will be in for a rough time. Can I build lava traps? Not on our server. Lava is disabled so people don't destroy other people's houses with lava. On singleplayer go right ahead and make your lava traps. Oh yeah, that cave was amazing! But yeah I want the thief caught as well. Someone also stole all the torches from anton's airship... Me and Zaldir replaced them because monsters were spawning up the wazoo.

So, there's a thief on the server. Someone stole 5 diamonds, some iron, and a saddle from Genzel and stole a gold block from on top of my Christmas tree. Protect your chests everyone.

Skeletons spawn in my room somehow... And by the way, when you sleep it doesn't become daytime even if you're the only one on the server. Other than that I love the addition of mobs.

Okay, I'm really sorry whoever I did this too. But someone's dog randomly attacked me when I spawned into the town. I don't know whose it was, but it had a collar. I logged out and back in, and it still attacked me. I warped around and tried to make it give up. The only option was for me to kill it. I'm terribly sorry to whoever just lost their dog, as their really was no other option for me, since the dog just came up and attacked me out of nowhere.

Wow, that thing is gonna be a pain to lug around. Yeah haha, I guess you're right. When it comes in about a week or two I'll post pictures and some benchmarks. I'm anxious to see how yours compares to mine. We both have the i7 2630 processor, the only major difference is I have an nvida gtx 485 card instead of the dual 6970s.

Congratulations! I just bought that Sager I believe you were looking at. I sort of wish I had known that Alienware came out with its 18 inch laptop before I ordered :(. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it, that thing seems like a beast. How much does it weigh?

I went with the 485 on the Sager NP8170-S1. It was more in line with my budget and I felt like it would still be a very nice system. It'll be here in a couple weeks :)

Its a Sager NP-8170-S1.. 17.3 inches. A desktop is not really an option. I'll be moving it around a lot but always keeping a power cord close at hand.

Hey! I'm finally buying my new laptop, today or tomorrow! I was wondering what would be better. One nVdia GTX 485M card or two SLI Mode GTX 470Ms? I will not be using 3d, but I will be watching Blu-ray movies and gaming. Forgot to add this, would Crossfire Dual ATI Radeon HD6970s be good as well?
