  1. Yes, but it would be a good sized project if it was done the way I'm brainstorming it. We have functions (getWeaponItemMod* and setWeaponItemMod*) to grab and alter weapon mod attributes, with those tools we have the ability to do this via script. Essentially by using the getWeaponItemMod* functions to figure out what mods a weapon has and switching them out for a new weapon form (lets call it fakeWeaponForm) that mimics a modded weapon. This has the advantage that it will not only reflect the visual attributes of a weapon, but will also mimic the other attributes of a modded weapon (ie lower weight, higher fire rate etc, whatever you deem important enough to go into the new form) for the NPC using it. A quest script checking your companions for new weapons would be much more bullet proof than an object script on each weapon running a Begin onAdd (won't get overwritten), but the onAdd would work for *every* NPC that picks the weapon up. Plus another block, onAdd player in an object script (attached to weapon) would be an easy way to remove the fakeWeaponForm and swap it with the vanilla weapon with the correct mod inexes. There's still a lot of book keeping to do, though. For instance grabbing the fakeWeaponForm health and adding the vanilla weapon with the equivalent correct health (AddItemHealthPercent) would be essential. In addition you have to add the fakeWeaponForms to all the appropriate form lists so you can gain their benefits, although that only has to be done once and can be a separate script. Probably lots of other details that would need to be attended to. I could probably struggle through the obj script method since the scripts are fairly small and I'm not a scripter, however the quest script method would be a real drain on my time and probably above my pay grade anyway. I need to work on bringing some shorties into the wasteland (among several other projects) but if your interested I could whip up a demo of a weapon or two to act as an example. If that's something you'd like, choose a few favorite weapons you use commonly with your companions and I'll focus on one or two of them. I want all the weapons enabled to have mods on companions but if certain technical issues prevent that then it's fine. But thank you for responding.
  2. Is it possible to turn F3 vats into F4? vats. Having time slowed as opposed to stopped makes the game more challenging.
  3. Whenever I try to give a companion a modded weapon it shows up and sounds like a vanilla weapon. Can anyone make a mod that fixes this?

  6. We all know of the issue with reload animations repeating themselves with certain weapons. I have an idea though I'm not sure if it would work. What if the reload animations for these weapons were changed so one round loaded into the cylinder or tube magazine would load all the rounds at once?

  9. So Romlyn is telling me all about how he skims off the meadery and Indaryn (the one who would rat him out) is sitting right next to him at the bar and he didn't hear it? Romlyn should at least take the player to his room before discussing such shady business. Can anyone make a mod to make this happen?

  11. What mod introduces nature sounds to the forests without adding any animals? Bird calls and the like.
  12. In the player's crosshair. Can anyone get rid of it? I feel the battles would be more intense if you don't know how much health your enemies have. I know such a mod was done for Skyrim.
  13. Is it possible to mod skills in New Vegas to bring back a little FO 1 & 2 goodness? Like renaming the guns skill the firearms skill? Or rename survival as outdoorsman? Maybe adding some skills in such as steal (used for pick pocketing) or moving all thrown weapons into the new throwing skill? I don't know if this would be moving into hard coding territory. Let me know if it is
  14. Yeah that's because the goopile is a separate form. Here try this one, I'v changed it to red. Not much to do just delete the old one, unzip both the esp and bsa from the rar into your data data directory and select the esp in your launcher of choice. Works perfectly, thx!
  15. Sure, here you go. I can't test it, playing FONV (or any FPS) over a VPN is like a very slow, painful slideshow, but you can crit something and see if it works. I just changed the green to the red with no concern for the subtle shades, so it may not be quite as artistic as the green gooification. Let me know if it works for you. It still turns green once it becomes a pile.

  19. These are great but the laser rifle is held oddly when trying to fire it. Doesn't look down the iron sights, treating it like a pistol.
  20. Maybe you can create a Fallout new lands mod that takes place in the Fallout 1 period before the Jackals and Vipers were wiped out. Playing as Harold before he went full on Ghoul. The game ending when he's knocked out by the robot crane and discovered.

  22. I noticed the vanilla laser pistol and rifle are weak enough to tickle and have a 30/24 round capacity. Something like that is begging to go full auto or at the very least have a weapon attachment that makes it full auto. And I know some of you might be thinking "We have the gatling laser & laser rcw." But understand the laser rifle and pistol are weak and this would give them an edge. Lastly correct me if I'm wrong but does the gauss rifle really constitute as an energy weapon? Maybe move that to the firearms skill along with the unique version and give it a new type of ammo. Maybe 2mm EC and lastly make this all compatible with DLC for the sake of logical continuity.

  25. It isn't crashing to desktop. It just stops at the first loading screen with the music still playing. I use LOOT, NMM, SKSE all of which are the latest versions. Needless to say the latest version of the game as well. I got 91 mods and 8 dirty plugins. Maybe that has something to do with it? Or maybe a lack of bashed patch. If you need more info than that I'll gladly supply it.
