maybe it's clipping issue you can try this Land Magic install that mod last after everything then run exe Land Magic patch based on your system 32 or 64 bit hope solved some land clipping issue

I agree with you, just as you said it's 'overflow of special effects' problem because of Oblivion lack of many thing this is just assumption... accumulated array variable shader in bad memory management of this game causing bottleneck and crash thx, hope you find something usefull about shock projectile problem :D may answer something about this tricky oblivion engine me too loved dark dungeon! kind of sneaky immersion and busted up some bandits in cave, using mod Dungeon actor have torch then modified the torch script a little. so its not by random chance, but by light amount the actor. because It doesn't make a sense using random number for torch if really they can't see in the dark. Hey, when you said khajiit and dark. it give me idea. they have a night eye ability so they don't need torch I think but still .... sadly, they act like normal actor that can't see in the dark.... for me OBGE is really good trully... but now in my book that mod is just history, so many workarround to replace that great mod OBGE in nexus but using Lenovo Y410p, and 200+ mods it just gives me 15 - 25 fps. it's inaf for me at playable scale. using MMM just up to 'reduced reduced', more than that its gives me hell of lag problem any methods have been used. Configure nvdia vga driver and tweak in-depth setting. configuring oblivion.ini and everything well.... my little creation appreciated by someone, it feels really good :) Thankyou UltimateZero, may the amulet of greed protect you from damned shock CTD & sweep every dungeon clean

I see.... yeah, me too have tried Cbash in past. fast really. but, not stable. me using WB 305 XEOSP++ race eye is messed up I remember, so prefer using old standard bashed patch some said wb 295 more stable, not confirmed though... still.... for me OBGE is CTD factory, every time playing several minutes when I see shock animation bolt its a sure crash dunno, it's just me or everybody. I think it's just me.... conflict with some other mods

yeah it's tiring install and uninstall everything and build up clean install with many mods installed. IMHO, try using Oblivion Mod Organizer. it's pretty neat!

just a guess, maybe your this is a case of mod conflict or program conflict. Try not using OBGE if you're using it and try close any program such as winamp, chrome, or anything related to multimedia audio I have crashing issue when try run Oblivion with chrome browser both open, after close chrome. the game runs alright check for other program that not open in foreground, maybe some program is crashing with oblivion.

there is a mod called Oblivion XP, it can modified bonus attribute point at level up & change whole game system for leveling up in the Oblivion XP ini file there is paramater ObXPSettings.attributePointsPerLevel ObXPSettings.maximumAttributeIncrease you can change any number for that to suits your need

for me OBGE is buggy and cause much much CTD, IMO obge isn't compatible with many mods. try using alternative like Improved water & ENB presets

quick tips, try learning using Oblivion Mod Organizer so you don't have to replace file over and over, with this tools you can sort out everything neat by folder don't forget to checlist Automatic Archive Invalidation

I think you should use wrye bash to sort out your mod and created bashed patch don't forget to import face! use BOSS too

I think OBGE is not compatible with many mods, you can try alternatif : - for water use Improved water mod, it came with DoF too - for effect you can try ENB, there is many preset that you can try to match your preference after I uninstalled OBGE, my oblivoin is get better fps & no more CTD

for mod you should go look texture mod I think, & great mod fps enhancher such as OSR - QTP3R Reduced Mx : mini version of great texture replacement of Qarls- Oblivion Polygon Overhaul : I think this increase my fps a bit by 2-3 and not noticing any big difference in my eye- Jhaeriks Dungeon Fog Remover : this helps me reduce sttuter in interior- Wisemans Reduced Textures : this is optimized texture pack I think it helps? dunno, but I include it for better fps in mind. there is a doubt about this, but I'am positive this mod helps- No Refraction Spells : it says magic that cause CTD will reduced, dunno so far I don't have that issue. Just for safe keeping- Landscape LOD Textures by Xerus : replace LOD to the better one and more dense tree- Detailed Terrain mod : this is optimized texture pack I think it helps me get better fps in 2-3- Ayleid Ruins Replacer for NBB2 : I love this one, it makes me motivated. the walls and everything is like milk texture :3 oh..... BTW, this texture pack is gonna make you CTD if you not delete file named 'arvarlastone01.nif' I have tested this again and again this is a case of missing texture meshes something like that. so .... delete it and you Good to go- Imperial City Reloaded v2 : another texture pack that I love, this makes IC more clean and majestic

I think cast a spell is more threatening, I have researched that shock spell cause my mod CTD CTD issue with Shock spell (ID 000A97F3) with uncheck flag bolt projectile in magic effect (SHDG : 189B). Original Shock Bolt animation will not shown but the effect still (hope eliminate CTD for other mods) i don't know how the 'bolt projectile' works, for me it's nightmare. now, it's all gone and smooth

I want water from OBGE so for alternatif using Improved water, it cames with Depth of Field great! - and I'am not using ENB (last time used Cyberdyne 1.0 is decent) - configure VGA properly, mine use Nvdia GT 750M in laptop - OSR : using heap setting on so I don't use More Heap mod, fps min limit to 10 & max to 0 unlimited - weOCPS : prove great I think for notif users in ding sound means you're gonna crash and save game please, even though many people said this mod is bad - Streamline 3.1 : I'am using this for save manager. modify it a little with TES4Edit to replace F5 F9, so I can fast load save with guarantee.
