  1. Hi, apr006. I've been using it for a few play throughs and have had no issues. In fact, I didn't even know people consider it unsafe to use *Laughs* Specifically, I use the following related plugins: Interesting NPCs SE 4.53 Interesting NPCs SE 4.55 update High Poly NPCs - Interesting NPCs SE (3DNPC) The latter above is to give the high poly heads to the mod.
  2. I agree with anjenthedog about BnP textures for the elderly. They're incredibly realistic and make elderly faces and bodies look age 70+. As for the Bijin Warmaidens mod, a lot of the characters changed are werewolves. So it's realistic to make a 50+ year old woman look 30+ since she's got the vitality of a 30 year old and is probably immortal by normal standards. In addition,, the changed characters are bloody-knuckled furious knock-down warriors (like The Unbroken), and it's more realistic for a 30 year old woman to be bar brawling every night than for a 55 year old woman to be doing that. But yeah, BnP does elderly skin very well. There are also installation options when installing, though, so I can see how someone might accidentally pick less detailed options during installation rather than allowing for moles and freckles and wrinkles.
  3. scorrp10 is right we don't really have enough context and information to know the problem. However, do you use HiPoly Head? I do, and sometimes in Racemenu I lose the setting for HP Head Part without realizing it, and my face morphs start to mess up and deform strangely. I've learned that if I notice any signs of abnormality in my face I go into Race Menu and make sure the Head Part is set to 3 (HP Head). In my HP Head setting I elect not to become gaunt if I get hungry as a vampire, so I always pick 3 (HP Head) and not 4 (HP Head Vampire). This said, I also never open RaceMenu as vampire race because that changes my eyes. Instead I use a Vampire Eye fix mod to keep my own eyes, and before using the showracemenu command I set my race to the human version. For instance, if I'm Imperial and Vampire and want to use showracemenu, I type: prid 14 setrace imperialrace showracemenu (and make my changes and verify head part) setrace imperialracevampire But all these precautions assume you even use highpoly head.
  4. I've never heard of FISS until this post, so out of curiosity I checked the Nexus Mods page for it to see what it does and what mods use it. (I don't use any of the mods which use it.) But the description page says that the original author of FISS lost his source code, and the Nexus Mods version of FISS is a rewrite from scratch of it. And it says there's a GOG version of it on Github. So it sure seems like there are three or more different versions of the mod all using the same name. This seems, to me, like a case of a mod where if it works it might be best not to update it with a different version, and if it doesn't work, then trying the other version is a viable option. AlbanyPirate, are you sure that 2025 version on Github is written by the same person who made the 2024 version on Nexus Mods and that it's for the Steam version of Skyrim AE.
  5. I'd start with proof reading that the slots you're assigning for the vegetation in the Armor Addon and Armor records of the Plugin match the slot you're assigning in Outfit Studio. I randomly picked an outfit mod to use as an example of where to look in Outfit Studio:
  6. That's a good idea I'd love to see (but can't do). In the meantime, if you haven't played it, I think you might like the Vigilant quest mod. It has a lot of areas which I think would match your interest.

That's very helpful, by the way, because if you have adult mod related questions, those are best to ask in the Supporter Image share section where you can post links and pictures as needed. That's actually where I got my help when I needed it last year. It's a much smaller community, but that actually helps in some ways because it means your post is less likely to be spammed off. And, as I said, there's much more freedom on what you can post there without getting in trouble with moderation.

  9. It sounds like you're going with 3BA (that's what I use as well). FYI, it's technically known as 3BAv2. This is important to know down the road because some older outfit mods are for the first version of 3BA (known as 3BBB), and that's not a body shape match to 3BAv2. So when installing outfit mods, keep in mind making sure it's intended for version 2 (anything from roughly 2022 or newer which says 3BA is usually v2, but not always). Also, fyi, this forum is considered general audience. So I can't actually link directly to adult mods from here, but I'll do my best to name them. 1. Yes, you'll begin with installing Caliente's Beautiful Body Enhancer CBBE v1.8.1. You'll also need to make sure you install BodySlide and Outfit Studio 2. Then you'll need to go to the CBBE 3BA (3BBB) v2.48 mod page and check the description tab for what to install first. It'll tell you to install: - CBBE (which you'll have done with step 1 above) - FSMP (NOT the other SMP, just the Faster SMP) - CBPC (this can exist together with FSMP--I'll explain more below) - Papyrus Util - XP32 Skeleton Once you've installed the above you can install the 3BA. During the installation process it will ask you what type of physics you want for the body. Personally I like more bouncy and to emphasize SMP more than CBPC, but DO experiment for yourself what you like most. I'll talk about that below a bit more. 3. This is probably a good time to either make your own body preset or to install that one you're interested in. Make sure to install the 3BA version. 4. Once you've installed 3BA you're going to need to install outfit conversions to replace the vanilla outfits. I use the BD's Armor and Clothing replacer, but there are other less skimpy options as well. It's your call. Also BD's replacers have "zap" sliders for most of the outfits letting you control exactly how skimpy you want each outfit to be. Build the outfits to the preset of your choice. Side note: Some people use something called OBody. I don't use that so can't guide you on it. But I do know that if you use OBody you will NOT build everything to the preset of your choice. You'll build everything to zero sliders and manually copy the presets you want to an OBody directory. For me that's too complicated, so I don't do that. I just build everything to the shape I want. However, I DO use a preset for which the 0 weight is very slender, and the 100 weight is very buxom, so I have a lot of body shape variety in my game simply by having weight mean something. 5. You can look into skin textures and makeups and RaceMenu and all sorts of aesthetic fine tuning at this point. I use BNP skin texture, for instance, but there are many choices with considerably different appearances. So there's no best option. Just try them, and if you like one keep it. And if not, then try something else. At this point you should be in a pretty good state to start downloading non-vanilla outfits of your choice. Welcome to Modded Skyrim at this point With regard to physics, the 3BA mod page has an optional download which lets you change just the physics configuration without reinstalling the skin textures and rebuilding all the bodies. Reinstall that physics configuration as often as you want with different settings until you find the movement physics and collision you like. There's an MCM mod you'll want to make sure you have installed, though I don't remember in Skyrim how to install it. But some of the mods you'll have installed by this stage will give you a link. I mention this because 3BA also has an MCM setting to let you create a "spell" hotkey to swap between CBPC physics and SMP physics in-game without having to use your mod manager. Again, I like SMP, but some mods you try might work best with CBPC settings, so it's nice to be able to toggle in-game without reinstalling anything. Finally, when you're comfortably in this stage of your modding, start looking into additional aesthetic upgrades like High Poly Head. But I wouldn't jump into that right away until you've got a decent foundation for your body. And remember to try to think of this as fun, as a game! Don't fret or worry. It'll all take time, so just be patient and enjoy the changes as you make them

  11. Hi, KennithEM. That link doesn't work for me, but I can give a general reply. Body Presets don't generally need anything special other than that they be for the same body you're using. Thus, if you're using 3BAv2, you'll need to use presets for that. If you're using BHUNP, you'll need presets for that. Etc. If you've not yet installed any body, you'll need to start checking out pictures and examples and mods for the various body types because you won't just be using the Body Presets. You'll also be using outfit conversions for that body as well. The good news for you is it sounds like maybe you haven't installed a body yet, so you're not ready to pick out a preset yet. Pick a body, find out from its page what it needs (skeleton, physics, skin texture, etc.), and then start looking into body presets, outfit conversions and the like. Don't use the body preset page for instructions on what to install first. Use the body mod page itself page to determine what it needs. That's where the instructions begin for you.
  12. The gauntlet's she's wearing are obviously missing bones. To find out which gauntlets she's wearing, click her in console then type: inv Now scroll through the list, and you'll see what gauntlet's have the issue. (I'm guessing probably it's steel gauntlets, but you should check as that could vary if you[re using a Lydia replacer). Once you know what the gauntlets are, you need to determine: a) what body type are you using (such as 3BA, for instance) b) did you build the gauntlets to the correct body type in BodySlide? c) did you install the body you're using correctly in the first place, including installing the skeleton and building all clothing to it? d) are you using a Lydia replacer? If so, try a different one or uninstall it. When clothing drops to the ground, it's missing bone weights. Any body which doesn't use a vanilla skeleton (such as 3BA) can have this happen if you equip clothing not built to that skeleton. In addition, some people who aren't familiar with outfit studio follow horrendous YouTube tutorials which instruct people to use the "Copy Bone Weights" command. This is VERY dangerous because if the outfit has gloves or skirts or anything too far from the body, you can end up with missing bone weights and the issue in question. If you mess up an outfit yourself playing around with outfit studio, reinstall the mod to get the original back.

I've been thinking about it, and if you don't want to go the high poly head route, it should still be possible to use racemenu to manually fluff out the part of the face which is clipping for you. Personally I'd go the high poly route, but it's really up to you. There are lots of racemenu preset mods on Nexus, but what I do for my character is pick a vanilla face I like the most and then tweak it with racemenu. I think if you use a vanilla preset as a starting point you'll be most likely to get something easier to tweak while being a shape closer to what the developers thought would work.
  14. I don't use OBody, but I'm pretty sure you're supposed to build all bodies to zero sliders in BodySlide if you use OBody. Maybe I misread what you said, but it sounds like maybe you didn't do that?
  15. Speaking as someone who looks forward to the progress of AI, that film clip shows how far AI still is from being viable in an open world, story based, immersive RPG like Skyrim. Here are a few limitations I noted in the film: 1. It relied on music to set the mood 2. It looked like a bunch of static images given 4-second clips of pseudo-animation without actual life to each of the mobiles 3. There was no actual continuity 4. The camera was static 5. There was no third person player character avatar guiding the exploration In short, that film was still more like screen archery than a PC game. This said, it's a good start.
  16. I don't use the displays in any of the homes, and I don't think they're intended to be filled anyway. For instance, I noticed that one of the homes (Chill-something which you get from attending a feast) there are displays for DLC objects which are exclusive to each other depending on what ending you pick for the Dawnguard DLC questline. The only way you'd be able to fill all the display holders would be to manually give yourself the items with console command or the item-search-and-give mod (forgot it's name). Because it's not possible to fill all the displays through normal game play, it seems fair and okay to me to either not use them at all (which is what I do) or to manually give yourself all the items with each house (if you like having full displays). It's not really cheating to manually give yourself those items as you're not using the displays to give yourself anything other than aesthetics.
  17. I don't know what leviathan high stance is, but did you test whether the problem persists if you start a new game? Some mods cannot safely be uninstalled without starting a new game. Also, are you using Open Animation Replacer? Personally I only use combat-related mods which support OAR because that mod is very good at controlling animation conditions.

  19. It's been that way for me for as long as I can remember. I launch the game then wait until I can hear it, and then I use the alt-tab selection to put it into the foreground. I think it's launched in the foreground maybe twice out of the last thousand times I launched it. It doesn't bother me.
  20. That's interesting information, annjenthedog. Thanks for it. The reason I had guessed ENBs is some years ago I noticed it became popular for people to tilt their screenshots. As I had no ability to tilt the game screen at the time, I asked a couple of people about it. And they said it was one of the options in their ENB (something I didn't use even back then).
  21. I've never heard of this and have never experienced it. If it helps, for comparison, I use Photo Mode and do NOT use ENBs. I also use Customizable Camera mod. And I use Ostim Standalone which likewise has a fly camera option. And my game does not have that behavior with fly camera. I heard ENBs can come with fly camera and tilt options. So if you use ENBs, perhaps check that. (I have no way of knowing, though, as I don't use that). There's also an alternative to Photo Mode (I forgot what it's called). So if you use that, then maybe check that?
  22. Are you specifying the 00,00,00 RGB code (true black)? If so, presumably there could be a specular or other environmental style light emanating from the texture not related to the one you're changing. Another possibility might be a variation due to race. For instance, I often like to use the exact same LooksMenu preset regardless of race of character I'm playing, be it Nord, Imperial, Breton, High Elf, Vampire, Redguard or whatever. What I noticed is just the act of changing race from something like Nord to Redguard makes the skin browner. Likewise, changing the race from Redguard to High Elf makes the skin whiter. To Vampire makes it grayer. You get the idea. It's possibly you already achieved what you were trying to do making the true black texture, and now you need to see if you can spot what else is changing the color.
  23. That really is more reason to try the High Poly Head model, though. It's not necessary to install it with human looking vampire advancement. You can keep the vampiric gauntness, but I'm guessing the fact the face will have more polygons could actually help. A lot of clipping in outfits comes from the outfit not having enough polygons. Presumably this issue can h appen with a face as well.
  24. Scathtroy2147, I think you'd be doing yourself a disservice not to take the time to figure out the body mod of your choice. For instance, I use CBBE 3BAv2 (not the same as the old 3BA nor the same as regular CBBE). I do not use Obody as for me Obody is too complicated for a vision impaired person like me. My understanding of Obody is that you need to manually copy files between directories, so I stick with 3BAv2 which is entirely handled by my mod manager and BodySlide. Yes, with 3BAv2 I must install a skeleton and CBPC and Faster SMP and BodySlide. But I use a BodySlide preset for which weight zero is very slender and weight 100 is very curvy. Thus, without Obody, my characters in my game have a wide variety of body shapes and breast sizes simply based on what their body weight is. I can even change my own body shape with the "player.setnpcweight [number 0 to 100]" command, or I can target an NPC and type it without the "player." prefix. I also must assign a body physics hotkey, and for me I use it to select SMP physics. But you can select what seems best for yourself. In addition, with 3BAv2 I install HiPoly Head, BNP skin texture (you can pick any skin texture for yourself) and various makeups and overlays. Yes, there are many things to download and install. But what does that give? Hundreds of beautiful outfit mods, massive variety and richness and beauty in my game. If you take a day or fourteen days or however long it takes to figure out and install the body type of your choice and all its components and features, you get in return thousands of hours of fun with Skyrim SE.

I just tested it, starting with headphones, turning off my headphones, switching to television speakers, turning the headphones back on and reconnecting them, and not only did the game not lock up, but the sound switched back to headphones. Thanks a million (I'll be sure to return to the mod page later to endorse it once Nexus allows it.)
