  1. Recently, when I tried running New Vegas, it would always freeze at the main screen with the ranger on it. Not only that, but it does not seem to register my mouse. The only way I can exit out is by doing ctrl+alt+del. When I go into task manager, it says that NV is not responding. I have verified the cache and used FNVEdit to make sure that there were no errors loading up my mods but it still will not work. Any help would be appreciated.
  2. Alright, I tried it and that seemed to work. Do I have to do this with all modded weapons in order to make them appear in inventories?

I made a bunch of new leveled lists that contained the mod weapon similar to how it's done for most weapons in the game(e.g: condition list and then the WithAmmo list with the correct ammo type) and then added those lists to the NPC weapon lists so they would spawn with that item. Is this the correct way to give weapons to NPCs or is there another way?
  4. Bump. So I tried combining a few esps using the FNVPlugin so that it would cut down on the amount of mods in the game and allow easier access to these guns, since they would be located in one esp instead of several. However, the guns are still not spawing on the enemies. I don't know what I need to do in order to make this work.
  5. I've recently decided to add a few custom guns to the leveled lists to some NPCs. I've waited 5 days in game just to make ure they've been added in properly. However, despite this, they still use the original vanilla weapons. I've also tried making sure that the guns were the last thing to load up in the mod list and that still didnt do the trick. I do have a lot of esps that add in different guns. Could that be the problem?
  6. Hello. I noticed that when i was playing New Vegas, whenever I would go to Goodsprings(either the place itself or the surrounding area), my game would crash to desktop. After tinkering with uninstalling and reinstalling mods, it seems that Fellout is the cause of this problem. I'm not sure as what exactly causes it to crash. It could be due to lighting or some script error for all I know. Is it possible to create a fix for this problem, and if so, how? I just find it annoying that in order to go back to Goodsprings I have to go into my mod manager to deactivate it and then reactivate it after leaving the area.
  7. I have quite a few weapon mods that I downloaded from different authors. Some of them give these weapons to NPC inventories and some don't. I'm trying to modify it so that all the weapons I downloaded will be sold from vendors and have NPCs attack me with these weapons. Problem is, I'm not sure exactly where to start. Any help would be appreciated.
  8. I could see them using Tesla and Gauss weaponry. For power armor, I was thinking they use something similar to the exoskeleton suits in STALKER. It would have less DT than power armor, but can be operated by anybody.
  9. I found it strange that when I took the Bloody Mess perk, I could easily blow a person's torso into bits, yet I could not do the same to a Giant Mantis or a Bighorner. A mod that fixes this would be appreciated.
  10. Bump. Okay, I tried uninstalling and then reinstalling New Vegas to see if the problem would go away. It didn't. Now I am completely confused and I don't know what to do.
  11. What I did was go into FOMM and check mark on the archive invalidation setting. Does that affect the AI somehow? Also, when I mean crash, I mean that the game starts up normally, but it crashes before I can get to the intro. When it does, it displays a message saying "FalloutNV has crashed and can not work. Sorry for the inconvenience." or something to that effect.
  12. Do you mean the Archive Invalidation thing? If so, I downloaded the automatic one that does it instantly for me.
  13. Hello. I'm not sure why, but after installing the "Enhanced Blood Textures"mod(http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34917), my New Vegas no longer works. Here's what I did in case people want to know: -Checked off Archive Invalidation -Extracted the files to a different folder -Copied and pasted the blood textures to the different texture folders -Copied the main esp into the data folder and activated it with the mod manager Is there a step I missed when installing the mod? Any help would be appreciated.

  15. No offense, but your reasoning is wrong. Depending on the length of the weapon's barrel the bullet is put in, it will either do more or less damage. A .357 revolver would do some damage, but not as much as a .357 rifle. By your logic, you're saying that a revolver and a rifle using the same type of ammo would do the same damage, which would make the rifle useless because, why carry a meter long weapon when my revolver can do the same thing and is more compact?

  17. The weapon I'm trying to modify is the .308 auto rifle. I tried changing the animations, but it still doesn't fire.
  18. When I go into the GECK to modify a weapon so that it doesn't fire automatically, the weapon doesn't fire at all. I unclick the automatic tag and set the fire rate to one, but I don't know why this isn't working. Any help would be appreciated.
  19. deu58, I tried your method to find the BSA folders. However, when I click on BSA Browser and go to the meshes, nothing is still there. Am I doing something wrong? EDIT: Okay, wait never mind. I got it. Thanks for the help. By the way, do you know how to add a new ammo type as a class of ammo that can be interchangeable?(e.g: .50 caliber high explosive rounds can be interchangeable with regular .50 caliber rounds)
  20. I'm trying to make a new ammo type I have for this gun in my game so that when the gun fires this new ammo type, the bullet explodes. The problem is, I can't seem to access the 3d model for the bullet or the muzzle flash. When I want to add them in, all I see is a folder with nothing in it. What do I need to do?
  21. I was wondering if anyone could make a turret where you press the use key to get in and start firing the turret and then press the use key again to get off of it. An example of a weapon that could be turned into one is the Browning M2 heavy machine gun.

  24. @angelwraith: That gun is amazing. It makes me regret not having Dead Money(your mod requires it) @someguynamedjoe: While the gun is good, I fear that the explosions might lag my game. Also, is there a way to change the model to something else? Not to sound rude, but I find it weird having a ballistic minigun shoot lasers.
  25. Can you upload them please? I would like to see what you have done. Also, this can be done with rifle weapons right? Not just heavy weapons like the flamethrower?
