  1. I mean the stun is still fairly nice as you can still wail on them with the rest of the group.

But ya this would be nice if you could use meta magic to boost what levels of enemies the other effects would work on.

Over all there is allot of meta magic feats from the table top that would be nice to have in the game like intensified spell, piercing spell, rime spell, burning spell etc...

  2. Any chance of a modder out there altering the lich Mythic path so that it can combine spell books with the magus ?

Its amazing as a full caster but I would love to make a death knight style melee with it (without having to go into like 4 different classes) sadly the spell books cannot be combined as is.

  3. Eh at that point I would just ask for the arcane marauder subtype to be added via mod.

It starts off with the medium armor feat & uses 1h or 2h weapons but gives up heavy armor and the first magus arcana unlock. (amazing in table top for damage output and starting off more sturdy then a regular magus, especially as an elf/half elf with elven weapon prof for the 2h elven curve blade which uses dex)

  4. There are a number of metamagic feats that are in the table top that sadly do not exist in wrath, metamagic such as intensified spell, rime spell and piercing spell (among others)

Given the high spell resist of so many enemies would any of the modders out there be kind enough to see if they can add some of these metamagic feats ?

  5. Not all games are supported by Vortex (or any mod manager for that matter). This looks like the sort of game where you will need to do everything yourself.

Kingmaker was not originally supported either but enough people asked and they eventually did.

People just need to keep asking as vortex makes modding anything with unity engine a heck of allot easier (turns it largely into drag and drop instead of a complicated mess)

    Another doom and gloom topic.

    EDIT:

    A bit more verbose response:

No, it is HIGHLY unlikely that Fallout 4 is the last moddable Bethesda game. They would not have bothered to launch Creation Club and make mods available on consoles if they were planning to abandon mod support.

It is more likely that they used Creation Club as a pilot project: they used it to learn -- sometimes the hard way -- that dealing with the console platforms can be quite finicky, what with Sony's refusal to permit the upload of third-party content originally not included in the game files (meshes, textures, sounds, etc.). Their willingness to tackle these issues is a sign that mods are here to stay. Now that they have the infrastructure to deliver mods on these platforms, they will probably wait for PS5 (rumored to be released in 2019 or 2020 if Sony follows the usual 6 or 7-year development cycle).

They have also hinted at wanting to build a new engine for the next round of elder scrolls and fallout games.

The last few times they were asked they said the engines they currently had could not handle what they wanted to do and they were waiting on new tech to become available.

Hopefully this means a completely new engine and not just another coat of paint slapped on the "Creation" engine that is just an ultra modded gambroyo engine.

Imagine what they could do with an engine like the ones used by the far cry games but one that is as easy to mod as fallout 4/skyrim.

The ability to use cover, climb, slide etc... would be great. That combined with actual RPG elements like fallout 3/NV had would be frekkin awesome.

  7. If they were both 32 bit games using the same engine it would be quite easy as was evidenced by the number of mods that got direct ports from fallout 3 to fallout new vegas.

As for 32 bit to 64 I'm not sure. I'm waiting for SKSE before I really do anything with it & even then most of the mods I have made are rather simple and kept to myself or close friends.

  8. Directly paying for mods is technically illegal and against the TOS unless Bethesda changes it & if so they will definitely want a cut.

Tipping/gifting mod authors however is always nice.

As for weather or not ES6 is already in the works. They have said fallout 4 was the last game they would be doing on that engine.

Weather this means they have to create a new one from scratch, have already done so or are simply going to slap a new coat of paint on the dead horse that is gambroyo we don't know.

Many of us hope they have already or will use a brand new engine however because when you compare it to other game engines it really shows its age in how it performs (both quality and memory/processing requirements) and in how its programmed (several other engines including free to use ones are much easier and more intuitive to work with)

  9. Sadly some theft will always be there. lots of it goes on on on other sites.

Bethesda has also taken the steps mentioned above, however their response times are still a bit slow.

Would be nice if they would hire just a few more full time people to moderate and look for stolen stuff.

  10. Orcs & most elves have common ancestors.

Bretons according to the lore were originally humans who had been taken as slaves by the elves & over multiple generations gradually interbread with them (weather willingly or not).

There are a few examples of half breeds between various groups existing in the lore. The grey prince in oblivion was one. (Tiber Septim was also said to have knocked up one of the dark elven royals.)

The only races thought not to be able to mix with the others are Khajit & Argonian.

Biologically speaking they are just too different.

  11. I'd hope so. The base weapons in fallout 4 suck. They either are ugly, or not practical to use, with few exceptions.

    Tell me about it.

As someone who is an avid sports shooter and hunter in real life the amount of things wrong with the guns in fallout 4 is astounding & a big step back in terms of realism coming from new vegas and even fallout 3.

  12. Sure let them just rework the entire engine, re-release the game, add a new price tag, and break all mods. Sounds great.

How about you wait for the next game which will surely be under a new engine. If it's not, why even buy the game?

    This really.

ya it does feel like step back but redoing all that would basically mean they had to rework every armor and weapon in game as well.

As for a new engine. My hopes are on unreal or 1-2 others that are not only much better performance wise but much faster to work with.

If they continue to repaint the old turd that is gamebroyo I won't pay for another bethseda game.

  13. Pretty sure this would still more or less require tagging every ledge in game with code then creating animation for climbing over.

Could it be done ? Yes. But it would be a hell of allot of work.

If the game was in Unreal engine this would be much much much easier to do as programming for it is much easier, more intuitive & collision is a breeze by comparison.

  14. SORTA OF A SPOILER HERE

I dont know what Bethesdas problem is, but they seem to have really screwed up the quest for Nuka World. What kind of DLC is it if you can only do bad stuff? Im a saint player, and I dont want to rule any of the raider tribes. Looks like a kinda dumb and specialized DLC for such a broad game with tons of different playstyles and game paths people take.

Broad choices ? If you think the amount of choices & play styles in fallout 4 is broad you should go back and play New Vegas & the original 1-2.

The sheer amount of ways you could build your character, Dialog choices & having perks/skills & stats effect things like quests & dialog puts fallout 4 to shame.

The voiced character is nice in a few ways but all the stuff it causes them to sacrifice just isn't worth it.

  15. Of course there will be. We have smart people that already cracked open the animation department. Beats me why you want to fondle some pixels awkwardly, but whatever.

One thing though - don't expect them to both be allowed here and allow devious stuff.

    They did ?

I thought we were boned since the tools for animations got bought up by microsoft and cost tons of $$$.
