  1. if I was you I would delete this post real quick before you get banned, X-B..360 modding talk is illegal on Nexus.
  2. SPPOOOOOOOooooonnnnnn..........
  3. Sheer 60's cool factor I suspect, same as using a giant horseshoe magnet gun on people wearing power armor :)
  4. Sorry, I downloaded it, but haven't had time to play with it yet, I'll get distracted from the other 5 things I'm working on at once too easily :)
  5. Cool interesting thread, learnt heaps here, Doh! I was under the misguided opinion a defined global variable could be read by multiple mods, that nugget saved me some lost coding time :) Also it seems scripts are the best way to screw around with formlists for compatibility with other mods, I will have to give that a definate go that would explain why some of my items aren't appearing in vendors for some people I guess :) Umm does that apply to Leveled Item Lists too, do they get overwritten by later mods unless you use a script to add items?
  6. You know, when a tomato grows out of your forehead, it gets you thinking. What do we know about anything? Life is just a big, wild, crazy tossed salad. But you don't eat it, no sir, you LIVE it. Isn't it great?! Isn't it GREAT?!
  7. When in armor or weapons mesh windows I've worked out how to rotate the camera around but I can't get it on the target object to do a close up look, is there a way to change the target to the object and redcue the zoom speed somehow?
  8. Thanks for the reply So will it work ok if I just use a pre-ESM version then delete the old esm, rename & replace it then add the flag, or will that lose items? Or do I have to stay working on the original ESM 'ed file.
  9. I am considering coverting my crafting/ammo mod to ESM so myself & others can use it as a base for other mods, I'v worked out how to change it's flag in FNVEdit to an ESM ok. But notice I can't edit it in GECK anymore. Do I need to change the flag everytime? Or use a pre ESM version? Can I just change the file name to .ESP in Windows or would that possibly cause bad things to happen?
  10. Roast Turkey is nice when I can't get Bramhim Steak :)
  11. No Problems :)
  12. Data collection can be overdone, but sometimes to much anonyminity just leads to having to share a good place with a lot of idiots and theives. I've spent a bit of time on SecondLife and the amount of botfarming going on there reached a point where there were 3 times as many bots logged in as actual people before the people running the game came to their senses. You could create a free account using a yahoo address and do what ever you pleased. Shonksters and idiots worked out that you could bump your store up in the search by putting 90 disposable account avatars in a box in the sky above your store. There was a 100 avatar limit per sim so this pissed off the other 20 people sharing the same sim who found themselves locked out at times. Some would fill an oppositions store with dummy customers so no real customers could get in or to crash the sim and some of the dumb ones even put 100 traffic bots in their own sim and wondered why they had no customers :) Then some areas were declared adult requiring verification to access them, people in those sims complained about how easy it was for underaged access but still maintained their "right" to be 100% anonymous there are millions of dollars going in and out of the game, it's a great way to launder dirty money I suspect by passing money through a few hundred automated dummy sales transactions. As far as being forced to use 3rd party software, we're required to use Hardware Drivers, Windows, Adobe and al sorts of other software for some computer applications too :)
  13. Yep looks fine to me too, I did strike some items that wouldn't remember changes to their value, I think that was chips, everytime you reopened GECK they reverted to original weight of 0. But that's not the issue you have had here as far as I can see, I will try and mod the same item myself tonight and see what happens.
  14. Much as I hate the fact I can't sell my games when I get bored of them I guess the flipside is I can delete them then reinstall anytime I want in the future on any PC I'm using. Can't use steam because they don't have access to the internet? But somehow still can log into Nexus for mods & forums? I don't think Steam causes piracy, I can't imagine people out there looking for games to play prefering to pirate a particular game over others just because it's Steam based. From what I've found the games even at release are 70% cheaper to buy through Steam than at the local games store and also I don't have to wait 3 weeks for them to restock after the rush or preorder.
  15. Hmm hard to diagnose nwithout a screenshot, and I'm no expert at using FNVEdit, see if you can be sure that it's your mod shown as the conflict. If you highlight your mod and others with the shift drag technique ou can right click on the list and click "Check For Errors". I also advise saving a copy of your mod somewhere safe before using FNVEdit. though it does generate backup files, you can delete the latest version then just change the name of the savefile back to the original. If you click the view tab in the right colum whilst you have a mod selected you should see all the mods effecting each file in the mod in their load order. You can also click & drag data from one file to another usually or edit the data. But be very carefull no to edit the FalloutNV.ESM or any od the DLC esps with this. The red conflicts are worth checking but don't always mean there's a problem, sometimes it will show red for something simple like a name change or damage value change if it has been changed more than once or back to the original again.
  16. Make sure this mod is last in FOMM load order, you may find any other mod you have after it that edits those items will overwrite the changes back to default or to altered values. You should add FNVEdit to your list of tools and play with it a bit it is great at showing these sort of conflict issues and for drag copying info from one mod to another.
  17. Damn you just destroyed a good interesting-overly-not-nowhere-going-outdrawn-long-overly thread nobody was really enjoying anyway, how did I get here BTW, I seem to recall heading to the bathroom from NewVegas>Uploaded Images and ending up in here somehow. Perhaps this is the bathroom. :)
  18. LOL yep I been doing it the hard way, better off doing what you've suggested, makes more sense, I think my brain needs a break :)
  19. Yeah I realised I can't change it, I'm looking to workout the players health percentage for a mod.
  20. I tried using the playerRef.GetHealthPercentage but it doesn't seem to alter with the players health in NV it was just returning a continual 1.0 at any health level, anyone else used it without a problem? I worked out the formula for Health as ((Endurance + Level) *10) +120
  21. Indeed it seems like that to me somewhat, unless the person is like toxa who I saw just recently got banned again. I guess if they had been suspended multiple times most others would know who they are and be dubious of their mods, but because they get banned and start a new account the mods may know but we don't realise who the multiple offenders are.
  22. I have no objection to the pulling of peoples files by the mods and from what I've seen in my short time here they sem to be doing a pretty good job, but I do wonder that a ban is the sentence for any infringement without the person having a chance to reply, explain themselves or rectify any issue the site has with their content. A suspension would seem more applicable to me. It seems a bit like the gov sentencing the electric chair for any crime committed and then saying we'll resucitate you if you can convince us you won't be naughty again :) I feel a bit paranoid that I could loose my account too easily by accident if someone decided that one of my scripts looked like it had parts of someone else's scripts, even if they were being used for completely different things.
