  1. ...yes, you will enjoy it much more. I have every COD from WoW up, and im one of those guys who kills the second he sees you, but i also have all the battlefields too, and i can tell you that from your description you will enjoy battlefield much more. coming from call of duty, you will enjoy so many of the new aspects of battlefield, but two things will throw you off. First off, the walking is much more realistic so you cannot turn on a dime; there is a slight delay if you were to try to jolt sideways. Second, the aim-down-sights animation is not as smooth; its much improved from bfbc2 but its not CoD smooth.
  2. We need more specifics: what mod did you download? How, specifically did you install it? could this be ha hardware issue? What are your pc specs?
  3. if it does it after a while its probably your gpu just getting hot. Download gpu-z, install it. http://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/ go to the sensors tab and set to run in background. Leave it up and start playing your game. when it begins, hit ALT - TAB to the desktop and view your gpu temp and other stats. if its over 75-80 youve got a problem.
  4. oh, thanks do you happen to know when that will come out? Within the next three weeks. Its taking so long cuz they are writing a tutorial for it. Subscribe to this thread http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/469476-creation-kit-release-info/ And you will get an email the moment it is available from administrator LHammonds.
  5. If it is not a replacer, such as replacing a default armor with the look of your new one, then until the construction set comes out, you must use console commands to get them in the actual game.
  6. Individuals have been comparing the two throughout the thread. Whats more revealing about the debate is that the individuals that say they cant be compared openly list bulleted points of comparison. How do i not laugh at that? (when you point out their differences, you are comparing them. If they were exactly the same, you could not compare them) Ta Da!
  7. These are the same "type" of game. They both online mulitplayer first person shooters. They are targeted at the EXACT same demographic. DICE even said that their goal is to unseat COD as the reigning champion. Because, on a large scale, their gameplay is slightly different makes it a stretch to claim that they are different genre's which is what you are trying to do. The equivilant of what you are trying to say is that these games are as different as skyrim and battlefield. When in reality these two games are as different as skyrim and dragon age. Both games use players shooting at each other to complete an objective or kill the remaining enemy team, therefore they are the same type of game and can be compared on merit. Instead of pointing out that these two games are a different genre, you have successfully pointed out the merits of what make the two games unique within the same genre. But trying to claim that, for example, one has vehicles and one doesnt seperates them by classification, is a stretch.
  8. i paid 215 but its come down to 185: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820226236 And yes, i have my OS on it. I also have a 240 with the exact same setup that i paid 300 for but i have'nt installed it yet: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820226237 Im gonna move my steam folder to the 240 once i get it on cuz the 120 is full Back when i had an amd motherboard with this ssd, from the time i hit the power button to the time i could click on a desktop icon, was 9 seconds. Its a beast. It takes about 20 seconds with my z68-ud5
  9. Check mine out: Mushkin Chronos Deluxe http://i1217.photobucket.com/albums/dd399/PowderdToastMan/ssd1.png 1TB Hitachi green http://i1217.photobucket.com/albums/dd399/PowderdToastMan/hdd1.png
  10. Go to the launcher on your desktop, right click to properties. The first thing it should show is the filepath under "target."
  11. Here - 650 bucks, add 120 for a gpu and play skyrim on ultra settings: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboBundleDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.755265
  12. Damn right it has, in 401 AD those EVIL ATI Radeon users invading Nvdialand and stole all our goats! so we went to Radeonland and stole their donkey! It continues to this day, infact I can just imagine a trench warfare style DMZ between the Nvidia and Radeon camps, with minefield and barbed wire, and somewhere in the middle of it, a group of Linux users having a teaparty and actualy enjoying life, damn them. :D actually they would have used use biological warfare giving the origin of anti-virus ...and the origin of spyware
  13. If your gonna go with a discontinued model i.e. the 6000 series, i would go with a 6970, 6950, or a 6850; not the 67xx. the 7000 series are out now. Card benchmarks on skyrim: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/skyrim-performance-benchmark,3074.html
  14. Oh my god... ...how...how? Im dying to know what service your using. *edit* im guessing thats a closed network? My awful phone line internet is all i can get out in the country. http://www.speedtest.net/result/1692859668.png
  15. If your read only changes back then you are not on an administrative profile or have your steam folder installed under program filesx86
  16. Update steam and make sure you have it installed outside of program files x86 and are on an administrator profile. Download 7-zip 9.20 from wherever you want. (its free) They have it here on the nexus. Install the NMM from here: http://www.thenexusf...se-notes-01218/ If you download a mesh or texture replacer, you have the option to let the manager install it, but its best to learn first how to do it manually. When you download a mod, there is a large chance you will have to use 7-zip to unpack it. Simply right click on the file and choose to unpack here. After you do that, take the texture file (and meshes, and esp if the mod uses them) and place the folder in its entirety inside the data folder which can be found inside your skyrim folder. Make sure the folder you place inside the data folder is named textures or meshes. If the folder you drop in there says something else, manually go in and remove the mesh and texture folders from within and drop them loosely inside the data folder. If the mod uses an esp file, upon loading the mod manager, you will see it on the list and in need of being checked off. Check it off. Make sure it is below your skyrim esm. If you placed a texture replacer mod in your data folder you will need to click the wrench and screwdriver logo and reset archive invalidation on the mod manager. You must do this each time you install a new texture or mesh replacer. Then start the game...

  18. The only reason to get a p67 northbridge instead of the z68 is because it supports NF200 PCIe to run crossfire or sli at 16x16, which really only offers a 5% increase in preformance over 16x8. And that board doesnt support it. If you decide to go with any aftermarket cooler - big copper pipes and fans - regular corsair vengeance heat fins will hit the fan. Corsair makes lo pro vengeance without the big fancy fans that are no difference. I have a 128 gig ssd. I have windows 7, 5 steam games, oblivion, and SWTOR and a remaining 5 gigs left on my hard drive. Consider getting a bigger one. I had to order a second ssd that came in today. I dont see how that adds up to 2800 dollars?
  19. Use the nexus mod manager. http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/461759-nmm-release-notes-01218/
  20. If your using a really good expensive router, it will set up a dmz for you. If your router is anything short of that, it will benifit you to set up a Dmz. http://support.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1118/~/how-to-make-a-dmz anti lag rewind is a game feature that can affect all game players in the lobby of a game that uses it if any of the two combatants has a slow connection.
  21. I havent tried this yet but im anxious to. I am using the z68-ud5 on a 128gig chronos deluxe and a 1tb caviar green. My 128 is full and i ordered a 240 chronos deluxe to put my steam folder on that comes in today. I will put origin and swtor on there too since swtor is 18 gigs. i am gonna Dl this utility and see how it does. I currently have the smart response working and love it. but im not getting the full potential out of it.
