  1. There really should be a way to change the two side blurbs as well. For example, if you set your main feed to latest files, you still have latest files on the sidebar and it looks silly. I liked it the old, old way where it was recent files, most recently edited files, and pictures right in your face. Each upgrade has added more clicks for you to find the information you want, which makes them bad upgrades.
  2. Why is it every redesign makes the website harder to navigate and puts more and more interesting information out of reach?
  3. What I'd like to see is the ability to block key words as well. Like I could have the phrase "player home" blocked and anything with "player home" in the title wouldn't pop up.
  4. That's what I like to call the tyranny of choice. This isn't a Bethesda game where you can do everything; this is a real Fallout game and it's impossible to make everyone happy.
  5. It lacks the depth that Fallout 1 and 2 built up to create a rich world. All it does is cut out the plot of Fallout 1 then glues it to the end of Fallout 2. It's more one-dimensional, Fallout 3-ing of the Enclave.
  6. Every time a game is launched, especially a Bethesda game, you can expect a GOTY with all the DLC included. It's nothing unusual. Your options are buy it when it's released, or wait a year and get it cheaper. That has gone for every videogame ever released.
  7. Reason nuclear winter isn't present in Fallout is because it's based on the popular 1950s conceptions of what nuclear bombs and radiation would do.
  8. There's only one Bethesda Fallout title, which is Fallout 3. Which they mishandled so badly that they felt compelled to hire Obsidian (who has several people who worked on the first two Fallout titles) to do it right.
  9. If you go too far down the Legion road, you lock yourself out of the NCR route. If you go too far down the NCR route, you lock yourself out of the Legion route. Similarly for the House route. You don't lock yourself out of the indepedent unless you're in the final battle for a faction.
  10. I determined the problem was me being an idiot and not setting an armature in Blender.
  11. The stencil properties are in good order. I think this might be a problem in blender. Both objects have in common that I exported them by themselves with no skeleton, then imported them into the blend file I was working on. I don't have time to post screens of nifskope - I need to get to work. But thank you for the help so far.
  12. You saved me again. Thanks! EDIT: It fixed the one mesh, but the one object (a vault security vest) has an alpha property of 1.0 and has shadowmap checked.
  13. I'm still sort of a novice at making clothes, but I'm getting there. Recently I keep running into an odd problem. I will make a .nif file with multiple objects, so far just modified vanilla resources. Sometimes I rescale things to fit differently. Lately I've been plagued with a problem where things show up right in Blender, the exported file displays correctly in nifskope, then when I load the mesh into the game... one of the objects in the mesh doesn't display and just shows the body underneath. Does anyone know how to correct this problem? I know it's not an issue with texture paths because I'm closely mimicing the vanilla file structure, and a lot of these use the vanilla textures.
  14. It was about finding your dad for no apparent reason and shooting at anything that looks different than you without trying to talk to it first.
  15. Sounds like you didn't pay much attention if that's the case. Fallout has always been about deep stories told well. Fallout 3 lacks that, and the locations lack depth or realism - the first two Fallouts and New Vegas present functioning worlds where people are picking up the pieces, not always for the better, while Fallout 3 is more of a post-apocalyptic amusement park.
