  1. I'm sorry for the very late reply, but I saw nobody is following the topic, so I taught I had no new replies. From now on, I will check it very often! - I like the idea of some seats...maybe I will add some plants too - A follower might use Dovahkin's bed, because it has two entry points. This mod will not support multiple followers beds. - By the way...what's "new Guild mod"? Never heard about this...did I miss something? However, thank you very much for your suggests!!! PROJECT UPDATE AND NEW IMAGES FOR YOU It has been a while! Unfortunatelly, I didn't have a lot of time for modding. That doesn't mean I will not finish this mod. I really believe in this project, and it will be absolutely be finished. I don't know when (creating the landscape outside the garden walls will require a lot of time), but I assure you it will! Here's what I did when I had some little time: - Almost finished the garden walls...I still have to think how the entrance gate will be. - Added a lot of different pine forest trees outside of the garden walls. Only did it outside of the eastern quadrant. - Only God knows how much trees I will have to put in the render window!!! xD - I almost finished the interior of the house. It is an evolved, larger and restyled version of the first one (you can find it in my last mod: House of the Redguard. A direct link is in my signature, but in order to see it you must be logged in). Here's the most important things you should notice about the house interior: 1) The floor is completely different. I think it's the most Arab-ish floor I could build with vanilla objects. 2) The first house's ceiling was completely flat. I restyled the ceiling. Now it should look way much better! 3) This time, you can open/close the balconies. The window grate has been retextured. 4) The old lamp looked too much modern (and maybe it was more like Chinese than Arab). I created a new custom lamp: it should be way much prettier than the first one, and it has been inspired by Gothic III Varant house-lamps. 5) No more exterior cooking pot! Now you have a special ethnical oven: the Tandoor. It's an ancient oven. It bornt in India, but it has been used in all Middle-Eastern Contries...Saudi Arabia too! 6) I competely restyled the sleeping area. Now it looks extremely better! Since outside the house there's already a storage area, I deleted those ugly boxes that were lying near the bed. 7) The weapon rack now lies near the bed. The rack has been also restyled. I restyled the table relax theme. Now it looks nice and more realistic. 9) Some other minor changes... Finally, here's some new pics about the house interior!!! Please tell me what do you think about my work. Feedbacks are really important to me...and to the project too! INTERIOR VIEW FROM HOUSE ENTRANCE http://dc541.4shared.com/img/fod4MXxqce/s7/1470221cf60/A__Interior_View_From_Entrance.jpg?async&rand=0.43173193450611247 KITCHEN AREA VIEW WITH "RELAX" THEME http://dc541.4shared.com/img/u1VcWy6cba/s7/1470221eab8/B__Kitchen_Area_View_Relax_The.jpg?async&rand=0.2927523063195795 KITCHEN AREA VIEW WITH "EAT" THEME http://dc541.4shared.com/img/nFyl5MmLba/s7/1470221fa58/C__Kitchen_Area_View_Eat_Theme.jpg?async&rand=0.30288687594783237 KITCHEN TANDOOR OFF http://dc541.4shared.com/img/pL4v7oVLba/s7/14702220de0/D__Kitchen_Tandoor_Off.jpg?async&rand=0.0639829471069534 KITCHEN TANDOOR ON http://dc541.4shared.com/img/BCsYzvgnba/s7/14702221d80/E__Kitchen_Tandoor_On.jpg?async&rand=0.5967901727288238 LIVING AREA VIEW http://dc541.4shared.com/img/CFZjOn8qce/s7/14702222d20/F__Living_Area_View.jpg?async&rand=0.567915841646529 SLEEPING AREA VIEW (the ships are a tribute to the Hammerfell island of Stros M'Kai, and, of course, to its sailors) http://dc541.4shared.com/img/BrBsLxoWba/s7/14702223cc0/G__Sleeping_Area_View.jpg?async&rand=0.8489560932079525 VIEW OF THE ENTRANCE (the snake is Satakal, one of the most important Redguard Gods) http://dc541.4shared.com/img/n3EDEer-ce/s7/14702224c60/H__View_of_the_Entrance.jpg?async&rand=0.3276411408689227 CEILING VIEW http://dc541.4shared.com/img/NMg1zchDba/s7/14702225fe8/I__Ceiling_View.jpg?async&rand=0.004000188294653317 OPENED BALCONIES FROM INSIDE http://dc541.4shared.com/img/CoYFtTHlba/s7/14702226ba0/J__Opened_Balconies_From_Insid.jpg?async&rand=0.7778217966292209
  2. Thanks! :) Here's what I've done today: - Almost finished the garden - Added some walls (still suffering that horrible shining problem...I hope I will be able to take care about that problem) - Some minor fixes Question: what should I add to the small blank rectangular areas near the house? I was thinking about an archery target and some training dummies, but I think those must be horrible things to see through a window. I was thinking to add some other flowers with some benches. Other ideas? Here's 3 new updated pictures... 3. Some weeks ago, I created House of the Redguard (you can check it in my signature). It was a single-room Redguard-style house. The problem is that the house was in Solitude (Solitude was the only city to have an exterior room, so I had to built the house inside there). Indeed: Solitude is not the best place for a Redguard, so, I taught to build a completely independent house outside of the city walls, in the middle of the nature. Here's a little preview of the new project: - The house will be located in Falkreath hold, near the Hammerfell border. - The house will be located in a separate worldspace (maybe accessible by a mountain pass): this way, we will be able to take care about the rain clipping problem! - As you can see by the images, this time I successfully managed to build an Arab-style house exterior. This time, the house will be completely Arab. Not only inside. Of course, as always, I only used vanilla resources. - This time, the house will feature most crafting stations: alchemic lab, smithing stations and, of course, cooking pot - The house will feature a big beautiful garden that will be divided in four parts. The first two parts (frontal ones) will include two working fountains. The other two parts (already finished) will include a chapel with an usable shrine of the Redguard God Satakal and an Arab well. The garden will include a lot of damage health flowers, this way, you will be able to poison your sword - The house interior will be, more or less, the same of House of the Redguard. - The house will be completely surrounded by walls. - Maybe, the house will feature two domestic sabre cats. - This time, you will be able to perform a lot of npcs animations, like meditating and others! - Some things will be a tribute of the Gothic saga (for example weapons inside barrels, the shrine architecture, wheels attached to the exterior walls etc) I need a small help: a Skyrim original texture looks too shiny on retextured meshes (look at some parts of the buildings and you will understand). Is there anyone that can suggest me something? I don't know anything about texturing. If you have suggests, or if you want to say something, please reply to this topic! As promised, here's the pre-alpha images: FRONT VIEW http://dc107.4shared.com/img/urBQGiV_ba/s7/1467c6c9f80/Front_View.jpg?async&rand=0.4311227122070128 RIGHT VIEW http://dc107.4shared.com/img/kGQxtCA8ce/s7/1467c6cce60/Right_View.jpg?async&rand=0.274015350807844 LEFT VIEW http://dc107.4shared.com/img/89tvR6zIba/s7/1467c6cb6f0/Left_View.jpg?async&rand=0.8049850377065827 BACK VIEW http://dc107.4shared.com/img/c_xjT72Yce/s7/1467c6c41c0/Back_View.jpg?async&rand=0.981124769821705 WINDOW PARTICULAR http://dc107.4shared.com/img/fVn8fLZice/s7/1467c6d0ce0/Window_View.jpg?async&rand=0.0011025830025214178 CHAPEL OF SATAKAL VIEW http://dc107.4shared.com/img/e7H3lEsAba/s7/1467c6c7870/Chapel_View.jpg?async&rand=0.14237051227752062 SHRINE OF SATAKAL VIEW (I know, I have to retexture the shrine because it's too dark) http://dc107.4shared.com/img/G1mg7ewgba/s7/1467c6c5d18/Chapel_of_Satakal_Interior.jpg?async&rand=0.8628775534027048 WELL VIEW http://dc107.4shared.com/img/mbtcBkvEce/s7/1467c6ceda0/Well_View.jpg?async&rand=0.9428862698428344
  4. Theorically, yes you can. But you have to find wich mod/mods are causing this problem. Solving your problem might tricky, but it might also be simple. It depends... Please post all the mods you have installed.
  5. You said "install and uninstall mods". Well, I think that must be the problem. Some uninstallations require specific knowledge: "uninstall" doesn't always mean "delete the esp, the meshes folder and the texture folder"....when talking about some mods, if you want to uninstall them correctly, there are more steps to follow. A suggest: only install the mods you are sure you will keep forever. Savage installing and uninstalling, or installing a lot of mods, might cause you several problems (unless you're an expert, of course)
  6. In my opinion, a real roleplaying home should be extremely interactable. For instance, someone should be able to move chairs, to change the table theme, to lit on/off the cooking pot etc etc. Maybe you should also add a marker that permits the player to play some new animation (new for the player but not for the NPCs), like sweeping or things like that Then, an other important thing: each house should have an unique interior design. Personally, I don't like the common houses, because they look all the same. Use the Nordic architecture style...of course...but try to create an unique house design. Something that should let people say "that's really MY house, this is not one of the thousands Skyrim common houses" That's my suggest. If I wanted to download a roleplaying home...well...that's what it should be! Good work!
  7. I did what you requested. I also did some in-game testing and everything was perfect. I think I will upload the mod on tomorrow morning.
  8. I think I won't do that. Because I also want a genuine judgement about my work (ok, maybe I'm pretending too much things, but this is a must). Let's say it's true: popular modders get free endorsements regardless of what they create. This kind of situation doesn't make me feel happy, because I'm getting endorsements only because I'm popular and because I have a lot of friends. I can't get more friends because of my mod's popularity: this would make me feel so evil. I'm a sensitive person, and I wouldn't do something like that, because it would make me feel so sad. I'm sorry...I don't understand what you were meaning. Ok, that was my diplomatic voice, I guess I need to be blunt. Your description sounds like it was written by a small child demanding attention. I understand, since you said so on this forum, that english is not your first language, and I may be very far off in international etiquette, but as far as I know, talking about how awesome you are in any culture is considered tacky. Sometimes Less is More. If you replace the line I mentioned above with something like: "This mod uses only vanilla resources, but it still has the unique design and architectural style for the Redguard" See, it is getting the point across (I am guess that was your point) without a lot of self praise, or at least, less blatant self praise. Including the word Impressively as you did in your description made it sound like a demand for attention to how great this mod is. Ok, thanks for your explaination, now I got it! :) Let's say that phrase might be something ambiguous. It's a matter of personal interpretation. When I was writing that phrase, my mind was only thinking "Did I really do that? I can't believe it" "Yeah! I won my personal challenge and I was able to only use vanilla contents". I see that phrase something that demonstrates my wonder and my happiness. At the same time, I can understand your interpretation, because, as I already said, that phrase is ambiguous and it might damage me or it might help me.
  9. I know...it was a really stupid maneuver. I knew I had to upload it on Saturday morning, but I was anxious to show my work to people. So, when it was finished, I immediately uploaded it. I'm sorry...I don't understand what you were meaning. Yes, it is a single-room house. I know what kind of picture you were talking about. I posted a lot of those pictures because I wanted to let the people see that there are some staged objects. So, I did a photo for every stage (3 photos for the "weapon-shield plaque", 2 for the cooking pot, 2 for the Hookah, etc etc.) The goal of that army of photos was to demonstrate that the house is anything but not static. Fortunatelly, I always created mods for myself. First = the mod is for myself Second = the people might try my modification. If they do and if they like it, of course, I'm really happy
  10. Yes, I made my mod with a lot of passion. Never had that passion for my other mods. Popularity is always something more...but we agree, because passion comes always first
  11. That is a really smart strategy! That's why I was sure my mod was destined to be something different to the eyes of the people: because I always roleplay. Being a roleplaying guy, I was sure that people will really care about an house mod. But I was completely wrong, because most gamers prefer to not roleplay, and houses are only places where to hide your items, nothing more nothing less. It doesn't care if I built an unique house. Its purpose is onlt to store your items. Absolutely agree. Oh...now I understand! I taught he was referring to me and not to the picture (I taught getting high was also a slang term that was meaning I was considering myself superior to the other people, because here in Italy - literally - an higher person is someone who thinks to be superior to the others). I understand what you are meaning... I only wrote "REAL Redguard" because I really believe in my mod, so, since I really like it, I dream that every Redguard will use it. It's like a merchant that says "My goods are the best". Of course they aren't, but he believes in his goods, and that's why he uses that strong phrase. I hope it will grow. But, as they correctly told me, for several motivations it won't grow that much. I agree with Matth85: The important thing is that I really like my mod. I'm proud of it and I will continue to use it without being sad about its popularity! :)
  12. Could you please tell me how many mods did you install? I might have an idea
  13. Honestly, I prefer to talk about endorsements, because a download is a good thing, but an endorsement (but also a positive comment) shows that people really my work. I can download something, but it might also suck. One of the best things I'd like to know, is that people who downloaded my mod are really happy of having it installed. There's no doubt...I really like my project, but hearing happy people is a bigger satisfaction. I started this topic because, since it's the only Redguard-themed house and since I really believe in it, my dream was for it to becoming popular, because I'm sure there are a lot of people playing with Redguards that are dreaming a Redguard-themed house, but most of them will never know it. They will never know it because of three main motivations: 1) They think it's impossible to build a Redguard-themed house, so, they will never search for it 2) When my mod wasn't out, they searched a lot for Redguard-themed houses, and they resigned to continue to search for them 3) There are thousands of house mods, and my mod will probably fall into the depth (it will be more difficult to find it). The signature with the download link will be the only hope I will have. In poor words: my dream was to realize one of the best dreams every Redguard player might have: a Redguard-themed house (maybe I'm wrong and it might not be one of their dreams, but that was only my opinion). That's because I talked about popularity: popularity helps things to reach every person, and the word "every person" contains those dreamers I was talking about some seconds ago
  14. Thanks to everyone for your precious replies! Now I will post some...replies to your replies I'm sorry, I'm not a native english...what does it mean "getting high"? In the internet, I only found references to drugs...but, of course, it must mean something else xD I completely agree: they are everything but not bright. Most screenshots have been taken during a sunny day, I don't understand why they were so dim... I agree with everything you wrote, but not with your quoted phrase: a nearly naked female character will give me more views, but the views will only be for the girl, and not for the project. I agree: that's the "problem": most people prefer other races, and that's why I only got less than 80 downloads in two days (since the mod has been uploaded). Maybe, if it was something like The Elder Scrolls V: Redguard, a lot of people would have downloaded it, because if you're in Hammerfell most people will choose to play with a Redguard. If you're in Skyrim, most people will choose to play with a Nord or an Imperial (because of the Imperial-Nord civil war). Thanks again for your replies, they really helped me to meditate. Maybe my mod will never be popular, because only 1/20 of people plays as a Redguard. But I really like it, I really believe in my project. And people who downloaded the mod surely like it too: 7 endorsements based on 70 downloads in my opinion is really a lot. In poor words: I'm happy and proud of my work!
  15. Two days ago, I uploaded my last modding project. Before doing that, I uploaded some other mods (the first one is a dead project, but the second one is a finished one, like the last one). I liked them...but, personally, I find that the last one is something really special. I really believe in this project: they say it is highly creative and, as fas as I know, it is the only existing Redguard-themed house (that's because I consider it special...it is something unique). How may I LEGALLY increase the mod's popularity? (NO spam or other evil methods: my mission is to let people to know about the mod's existance, but without beeing irritant or evil) And, last question: what do you think about my signature? Does it transmit some curiosity? Or should I change something? Thanks for reading and, if you will reply, for your precious tips ;)
  16. My list would mostly include some of the top mods (like Frostfall or Open Cities). I only might suggest you to search for some interesting player house (it should perfectly fit your charater: race, guild, allignment, way of thinking, way of fighting, etc etc). The problem is that the Nexus is full of player houses. I saw a lot of houses with a small number of endorsement but that were extremely beautiful. I'm really sorry for those authors, but their mods deserved a lot more likes. Try to search for some underestimate houses...you will lose a lot of time, but it will worth.
  17. You're asking something colossal. Only modding masters like Arthmoor could handle a project like that. But that's not the problem. Your project is not something impossible...absolutely. The problem is another. (more or less) Nobody would be interested in moving out the College. Because 95% of people wants the College where it has always been. Requests like "could you create an overpowered iron sword" and "could you export the cities in Tamriel worldspace" are completely different from requests like "could you move out the College of Winterhold". Nobody cares about an overpowered iron sword, but someone could take your request because it will be an easy task. A generous favour... Everybody was dreaming about completely exterior cities: that's because someone realized a project like that. On the contrary, nobody would move out the College: a very difficult mod can only be created if a lot of people are interested in it. Nobody would realize that huge project for only one person. Remember: a huge modification project requires huge motivation, determination, time and efforts. Those requirements can be achieved only if you are creating something for yourself or for a lot of people. Hey, no offense. That was my opinion and I hope for you to be completely wrong.
  18. In my opinion, this must be a mod-conflict problem. 100 is a huge number of mods. If you can manage them correctly, everything will be fine. If you are not sure how to correctly handle with them, you will probably experience some problems. The question is: where is the conflict? It might be anywhere: you have a lot of mods installed, and your game might have some difficulties to correctly manage all of them and to display everything as it should be.
  19. I never tried to take some screenshot with the only help of the game functions. I always use Easy Snap (Rikisoft is the creative team of this freeware). With this tool, you can take full screen shots. It is a really good program, my photos are always high-res. I never used Fraps, but I think Tamira gave you another great suggest (everyone says Fraps is a really great program). However, I don't think it is a freeware...you should check. As I remember, you can try a trial version, then you have to buy it or to uninstall it.
  20. In my opinion, you should use those mods (I will give you a really short list, because I don't like to put install a lot of mods): 1) Open Cities 2) An house mod that perfectly fits your character (depending on his race, his faction, his abilities, his sex and some other important factors) 3) Frostfall 4) No Killcams (only if you have a very high sensibility and if you hate execution scenes) 2) No Spinning Death (I really hate it xD )
  21. What about if you try to change the voice of the spouse via Creation Kit? It might also work...
  22. I can't help you much...because I'm not good with magic when using the Creation Kit. The only thing I can tell you is that your idea isn't so simple to apply, expecially if you don't know nothing about scripting. In fact, if you'd like to realize point 2) , you must learn some scripting: theorically, without that kind of help, it would be impossible to create a power that will be only used on certain creatures with a certain amount of health. I hope some scripting adept/expert will reply as soon as possible
  23. Some mods, even if they have been uninstalled, might permanently alter the state of your savegames. It is important: - to uninstall them correctly (correctly doesn't always mean "delete the .esp": sometimes it means much more) - to use some test savegames (with whom you might test your new mods) and to use definitive savegames (where you play with mods you're sure you will never uninstall...pratically permanent mods that will always accompany you during your adventures). If you don't find a valid solution, please uninstall your game, reboot your computer, reinstall the game and start a new game/load a clean savegame (a savegame that was created before installing that mod)
  24. Thank you very much! Thanks to your answers, I will be able to upload my mod on the Nexus without having the fear of having forgot something to include in the .rar archive! GECK and Skyrim\Oblivion editors look very similar, but they also are really different!
  25. Hi, I come from Oblivion\Skyrim modding and I'm creating my first Fallout mod. In Oblivion\Skyrim, when you successfully created a new script, it was saved in the Data/Scripts folder. I noticed in New Vegas there isn't any script folder! I also tried to display hidden folders, but it didn't worked. The absolutely strange thing is that my script works good (I tested it in-game), so, it must be located somewhere... So....where does the G.E.C.K. save your scripts? Thanks a lot!! PS: yes, this isn't a joke and I looked several times at every Data's sub-folder.
