  1. Yes I absolutely agree, the water is often too clear. But I think it may be a result of them using a crappy water shader system, so not sure if this can be made to look more murky...but I would absolutely use it if someone made a mod for it.
  2. I don't think you even needed to edit the w3mesh file. Could have instead just edited the hook_01_mg_viper.xml by changing the line containing "autohideDistance="20.00" to "autohideDistance="0.00"
  3. If I am not mistaken, you have to edit the item's accompanying XML file and point it to a different scabbard model.
  4. I was using "schoolboy fantasy" as an indication of your naive confidence that you are going to make even a dent in this game, let alone turn it into something else. I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but it's not going to happen. It doesn't look like you have created a single basic mod for this game yet...first find out what is involved before you set yourself these impossible goals. like I said, you are being very naive thinking you are going to achieve what you have described here.
  5. Haha, good luck with your schoolboy fantasy, but Witcher 3 is NOT going to be the game you turn into another game. You'd be better off getting a copy of the Unreal Engine and starting from scratch and build your own game.
  6. Do yourself a favor and get Absolute Camera. It only takes a little bit of effort to set up and once you're done, you have access to more camera options than you can swing a stick at.
  7. They don't exist probably because the updated hairstyles look much better in Witcher 3. Also, it may not be as easy as you think to create new hairstyles or importing old hairstyles from previous games. The physics alone I image will be quite a challenge to get right.
  8. How are you getting on with this? I think it is a brilliant idea and I want this mod! :D
  9. Nudity in video games is purely pink pixels, not affecting one's mental state if played in the right manner. There, fixed it for you. As a side-note, picking and choosing your Christian values where and when it suits you is really nothing but hypocrisy.
  10. Hi guys, Does anyone know who the author was for the above mod? He's gone and taken it down thinking it does not solve a problem with hair completely disappearing on animals, but this is not accurate. His method DID fix the problem for me! The reason he gave for taking it down was because there is already an existing mod that does it, but that initial one does NOT fix the disappearing hair problem. And I just went looking to get the version of his mod that also disables Geralt's beard and found that he's taken his mod down. So I want to message him and ask for the mod back but I don't know who he is...
  11. http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/837/? Awesome, I don't know how I missed this mod but I will give it a try! :)
  12. Very much so yes. I was thinking in terms of dismantling, which isn't something alchemists can do. But if there is a mechanic that can be used for something a bit more lore-friendly then it would be awesome if alchemists could do it. Like "dissolving" the mutagens. I just don't know how something like this could be implemented.
  13. Would be really awesome if someone could make a mod to allow smiths to dismantle all those worthless monster mutagens into lesser mutagens.

  15. So far the only lighting mods I know of are those that edit ENV files, but I have never actually seen a mod that removes the LUT filter you describe. It does however sound like something very much needed and if I had any idea where to even start looking for this, I would. But my knowledge of modding is very basic to say the least. I hope someone out there can do this...
  16. If you are referring to scripted mods, then basically you have to uncook the mod if it is bundled and then transfer your modded code to the updated game scripts, then cook it again.
  17. The real problem here is that bandits have a larger combat radius than Geralt. It is ridiculous, but I believe there is a mod that increases Geralt's combat radius. Can't remember what it is called though sorry LOL Anyway, I would not use that mod because it seems to be it may break other combat situations. What I tend to do is just sprint towards the bandits when they start firing arrows or bolts at me.
  18. Don't really know what you are talking about. It works absolutely fine with mouse control.
  19. Yes, you'd think that by now there would be multiple mods that does just that, but strangely enough, there isn't a single mod that addresses this issue on its own. Maybe it is not as simple to do after all...
  20. I don't think we have the tools to be able to make something like this.
  21. The mod was broken for many, so it was probably taken down temporarily to try and get it fixed.
