  1. Theres also an option in the Dance of Death MCM menu that ties kill moves to perks,do you have it enabled or disabled? And do you have the required perks? If you have the perk option enabled then the 100% chance wont work without said perks. However,if you disable it then everything should be available regardless =)
  2. As already mentioned,Frostfall and RND pretty much cover anything survival related in terms of needing to sleep/eat/keep hydrated and being mindful of weather. Lighting on the other hand..theres a lot of mods out there and it all comes down to taste. Personally id reccomend RCRN since ive been using it myself for a very long time..it wont destroy your fps,is highly configurable and has a few different presets..one of which makes nights/dungeons extremely dark..to the point of truly needing torches to navigate properly in dark areas. You can also change said presets outside of the game through their customiser, just in case you want a change for whatever reason. Besides those mods,id also recommend a gem of a mod called "Hunterborn". It hugely expands the process of hunting and skinning animals/harvesting parts in a way that fits with vanilla and also works really well with Frostfall and RND. Its highly configurable through its MCM menu and basically transforms hunting into something that is meaningful..especially when combined with Frostfall/RND. The first time i used those three mods together i nearly got myself killed by venturing out into the wilderness on a sunny day, killing an elk,and spending a few hours butchering it..only for a thunderstorm to appear when i was finished later in the evening..with my character starving, dehydrated and tired (RND)..and soaked to the bone (Frostfall) with no heat source/shelter in sight. I had no firewood to make a fire and keep myself warm or cook the meat i had spent the day harvesting (Hunterborn) or purify the bottles of river water i had on my person..so i ate the meat raw and drank the river water out of desperation and caught some lovely diseases lol Truly desperate and convinced i was about die..i set out in a random direction and spied a campfire off in the distance..surrounded by bandits...and tents...precious shelter. Well,im quite sure those now-dead bandits where surprised when a disease riddled, thoroughly drenched stone age psychopath emerged from the shadows and murdered them all. Comfy tents and a fire they had afterall... Well, after spending the night there..i crawled back to Riverwood the next day,a wounded and disease ridden mess..my first experiences with Frostfall/RND and Hunterborn =) lol You get the idea^^ Frostfall by Chesko - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/11163/? RND by Perseid9 - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/26228/? Hunterborn by Unuroboros - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/33201/? 3. Ive had trouble with BOSS lately aswell to be honest, its providing some rather strange load orders that require manual tweaking..so i dont entirely trust it at the moment. Anyways,an earlier poster mentioned this already, but you could try placing the Unofficial patches after their respective .esm files. Such as - Skyrim.esm Update.esm Unofficial Skyrim Patch.esp Dawnguard.esm Unofficial Dawnguard Patch.esp Hearthfires.esm Unofficial Hearthfire Patch.esp And so on. After that,i must say..you have a rather large amount of complex mods installed that require compatibility awareness, patches and technical finesse to get running together in a nice way. Even then, due to the nature of Skyrim engine, there is no guarentee you will be completely CTD free. Id imagine your papyrus log pukes its guts out every time you load a save, and it will only get worse the further into a save you get. It might be a simple load order issue but i doubt it to be honest. With that amount of mods,it could be anything causing the CTD's..or it could just be your PC melting under the strain from all the scripts running the later you get into a save. Having said that..what mods did you update? and did you have the same load order/amount of mods installed prior to updating..with no CTD's?
  4. Personally,i would recommend one utility above all others for mod installation - Mod Organizer http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/1334/? . This utility basically installs mods in such a way that it doesnt touch your original skyrim folder. It creates a virtual one instead. You can use it with BOSS,Wrye Bash and nearly any other popular executable to mod and run Skyrim without touching your vanilla data directory. This obviously wont help you if you nuke your save games, but it does help immensely when it comes to keeping your original skyrim data directory clean. Seriously, use this utility. Ive destroyed my saves and my data directory a few times over the months and ive found MO to be the ulitmate godsend. I currently have 127 mods running in Skyrim, and the only ones that are actually installed into my real skyrim data directory are SKSE,RCRN (graphical overhaul),and some Steam Subscribed mods, every other mod is applied to the "virtual" directory created by MO. I also use BOSS,Wyre Bash,FNIS and Dual Proccer (dual sheath redux mod) *through* MO on the virtual directory and it works perfectly. As said,it wont help if you mess up your save games with broken/orphaned scripts..but it is brilliant for keeping your actual skyrim install clean so you can keep track of everything. After that,on a more practical note. Id say install texture mods first, get your character and your npc's looking exactly how you want them to look, preferably at the start of the game. The way i do it is,i start the game clean..go through the whole Helgen scenario, follow the story to Riverwood,do the talking..blah blah "head to whiterun" etc then i park my character outside of the riverwood inn (or inside, whichever) make a save, and then i start adding mods. The previous save being the "clean" save that doesnt have any mods installed. You're better off adding texture and body overhaul mods at this stage since usually they dont have esp's or scripts,so you can mix and match until you get everything looking the way you want, while also avoiding texture/mesh based glitches like npc's having dark heads or mismatched colours between head and body . Again id recommend MO for this since it doesnt overwrite files,it just overrides them. Ive experienced problems in the past with NMM because it doesnt uninstall files properly all the time, and since those files are in your vanilla directory..yeah it can get messy. Once you have that in order, time to start adding actual mods that you want with scripts and esp's etc. From experience,i would recommend installing mods slowly..make numerous saves, always have a backup save that doesnt have the mod you just installed exist on that save..if that makes any sense. In that way,if things go bad..you can uninstall the mod that is causing ctd's and revert to a save where it didnt exist and continue on your merry way. Above all else, pay utmost attention to the mod authors notes, installation, uninstalation intructions and especially the latest posts by users of that mod..which usually gives a good idea of the current state of the mod in the overall community in terms of bugs and compatibility with other mods (check the post dates lol if the last post is from 2011,yeah..probably best to stay away lol). Overall, its just a common sense thing at the end of the day..adding mods to skyrim eventually necessitates an understanding of the CK and the game engine..as in,youll wreck your game and saves enough times to the point that youll end up wanting to be a modder yourself lol. But thats the beauty of it really =) It sucks you in >< Even then, with all precautions taken, your game may still yet be wrecked lol Tis just the nature of the beast. "Skyrim Sorcery" as some call it lol. Its just the risk you take when modding the game. Its fun though, and youll learn a lot in the process =) Apologies for bad grammar/spelling..just home from work and tired, hope this helped even a little bit =)
  5. I think it would be a good idea to post your load order at this point because thats a pretty strange problem to be having, especially if you are using FNIS for Users correctly. So yeah, what other mods do you have installed? =) Also, what are you using to install mods?
  6. Bit of a loaded question, since fiddling around with your .ini files can really mess your game up if you dont know what you are doing. However,id recommend starting here - http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/guides/the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim-tweak-guide#1 It covers pretty much everything you need to know in a basic sense, from graphical tweaks all the way up to your .ini files. After that,id recommend reading http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/articles/1153//? here on the nexus. Be warned about this one specifically though, pay attention to what you are doing and make back ups of your .ini files just in case. It shows you how to add lines to your .ini files that take advantage of multi core cpu's among other things. It helped me personally with similar issues, but could just as easily melt your game or your PC if you just copy/paste everything lol =)
  7. As the poster above already explained how to enable Papyrus logging, also know that the logs themselves are found in your documents/mygames/skyrim/logs folder. If you used Boss and are still experiencing CTD's you should enable the logging and check them out when you next experience a crash. It will most likely look like gibberish but if you post them here im sure some people could help you out =)
  8. Out of interest,do you have Papyrus logging enabled? Its usually a good indication of whats going on behind the scenes when your game is crashing. Also, like others have said,id highly recommend BOSS for sorting out your load orders. Its really not that complicated..or i should say,its about as complicated as you want it to be =)
  9. Im having this problem aswell..ive only encountered Draugr thus far,but im sure the same problem will occur with skeletons also. Once i kill them they float in the air contiueing their "alive" animations..they are lootable, but man it wrecks the immersion completely. I have xp32 skeleton,Immersive Animations,Dual Sheath redux and Realistic Ragdolls and Force installed. The weirdest thing is,everything else regarding the aformentioned mods works perfectly..its just Draugr (and skeletons aswell im sure). Tis a real head scratcher :/ Edit: Like the above poster,it only seems to happen when killing them with a Bow aswell..hmm.
