I assume you're using SkyEdit; the Creation Kit isn't out yet! :) OK, now to make this ring, first you'll need to load up your Skyrim.esm in SkyEdit. Next, click on Rings (which is under the Armours category). Now, right-click on an ALREADY ENCHANTED ring, then click Edit. Change the EditorID, and anything else you want to change (name, weight, etc.) Next, click on the '>' button next to the Enchantment box (it has a '...' button next to it). Then, select the 'TGO8BInvisibilityEnch' from the list of enchantments that are available (you'll need to search for this, tell me if you can't find it and I'll help you :)) Once you've done that, you can change any other things you didn't change before: such as weight, name, material, etc. Now, the problem is that I don't actually know how to get the item to appear in-game. I'm assuming you'll have to use console commands, but it doesn't seem like it gives you one when you create the item. Unless you replace a item that currently has a console command (e.g. gold ring), with your Invisibility Ring, THEN spawn it with that console command. Hope this has helped, it'll be a lot easier to do stuff like this once the CS is released. Feel free to contact me if you need any more help :)

For me, I choose both sides on two different playthroughs. Reasons- Imperials - More powerful army, they sort of have the Aldemeri Deminion on their side, they also have the funding of the freakin' Emperor. Stormcloaks - They fight for the Nords of Skyrim, they're badass, they aren't as cowardly as the Imperials.

Hey guys, I was searching around on the Internet earlier, and I found a nice little article that was written today that contained an official statement from Bethesda regarding the release of both the Creation Kit and the 1.4 update. Here is the link to the article - http://www.nowgamer.com/news/1223037/skyrim_14_patch_sees_great_results_hits_pc_next_week_bethesda.html Here's the part about the Creation Kit, for those of you that are too lazy to click the link - "We really appreciate the feedback from our Steam Beta. We anticipate the 1.4 update going live next week for all on the PC and being sent to the console manufacturers. The Creation Kit won’t be far behind," the developer posted on the Skyrim forums. So, the Creation Kit is probably going to be released next week. For Bethesda to keep their promise of the Kit being released this month, they'd have to release it on Tuesday. What are your thoughts on this?

You'll only have to wait another 5 days max for the CK. As for free software, I've heard that there are certain websites that can allow you to download software for 'free'. That's all I'm saying :armscrossed:

I'd actually really enjoy playing this way; you know, the constant threat of being hunted down, tracked all across Skyrim...could you put your save file up on the Nexus? Please?

Is it possible to reset completed quest?
RitchieTheMerc replied to chris308xcr's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I've looked around a bit, and I've learnt that it is NOT possible to un-complete quests. There might be a mod for it though, once the Creation Kit comes out. -
I believe you need to type 'tm' or 'tfc' in the console to make the crosshairs disappear. Try both

I'm on Windows 7 x64, and I've had NO problems atall when using mods, or making my own.

What's your favorite ingame novel?
RitchieTheMerc replied to Darksun45230's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
My favourite in-game book has to be The Black Arrow Volume 1, or maybe A Cabin in The Woods. The guys at Bethesda sure can make a good short story. -
How long will my laptop last for?
RitchieTheMerc replied to RitchieTheMerc's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I honestly could only guess. Maybe a bit better? Mainly because with two 460's I have a total of 2GB of graphics RAM to work with. Really, for any current or near-future games, I imagine my setup may be a /bit/ better than yours, but nothing to really worry over. GTX 460's in SLI will probably outperform that card by quite a lot if I recall the core speeds correctly (somewhere around 900-1000Mhz, with a 1400ish shader clock? It's been a while since I looked that model of GTX 460 up). The thing to understand is that unlike standalone cards, you can't really gauge a mobility card by VRAM, since core speeds are usually scaled back to allow for better cooling and battery life. Having said that, I'd be very surprised if either setup was unable to maintain high (maybe not ultra, but high) settings on the latest and future games. Games like BF3 might need a new $500 card to play on ultra with all the bells and whistles, but most games don't require that much. Yeah, I just looked it up on YouTube, and there's a video of some guy using my exact same laptop with Fraps on High settings. No lag. I was like  -

Yeah, but even when the new consoles are released, I honestly don't see it advancing too much from the standard it is at now. I mean, OK, there'll be new shaders, new filters, little things like that. But nothing HUGE. And I mean San-Andreas-to-GTA-4-huge. I really don't see it happening. -

OK, I'll do that next time. Sorry  -

Thanks for the reply too. I think that the CPU can Turbo Boost up to 2.9, so really it shouldn't be too much of a problem (I'm hoping). Because really, who can predict where the gaming technology of tomorrow is going to go? -

Thanks for the quick reply dude, just wondering, would you say your graphics card is better/equal/worse than mine? I know that they're probably better because you've got two and your running them in SLI, but on the whole, which would you say was better? Thanks. -
OK, so to start off, first I'd like to apologise for posting this on the Nexus, and not on a PC gaming forums, I just liked the community here and knew that I'd get a quick and friendly response  . Anyway, now onto my question; how long will my gaming laptop last me for? By this I mean how long will it be before I have to upgrade? Here are my specs- Video card - nVidia GT555M 2GB CPU - Intel Core i5 2430M @2.4GHz (2.9 if run with TurboBoost) RAM - 6GB. Now, I'm thinking that my CPU might be the bottleneck here when it comes to playing games in the future. But, saying this, I can run Splinter Cell: Conviction, Skyrim, and loads of other games on High settings. I know I'm sounding a bit stupid here, but what do you guys think? How long until I will have to upgrade? Thanks, Ritchie.

I totally agree with you. I'm like you, when I play an RPG I like to play a badass, not some frilly *censored*-ass prostitute that just got ripped from an anime. When I see all of these nude mods and anime mods it really makes me worry that the Nexus is taking a turn for the worst. Ah well, hopefully when the Creation Kit is released we'll get some half decent mods.

I'd love to go to Morrowind to see the Argonians. I'll be all up in dey krib lyk hail egg-bro.

Try typing into the search bar in the Start menu - 'Skyrim.ini' without the '. The file should come up.

I initially chose the Stormcloaks because I believed they fought for the people of Skyrim.

Night of the Honeyside Curse - Based on a true story.

Wow, that's actually quite weird LOL. I'd laugh if you turned around from the alchemy laboratory to see Aerin dressed in full Daedric armor, then he kills you. LOL. -
Yes I got Grimsever and returned it to her, looks like her hubbies boring desk job might be getting a whole lot more dangerous for him I'm thinking... hehehehe.... From the UESP:- If you marry Mjoll and decide to move out of Riften, Aerin will move into your home. If you happen to kill Aerin, Mjoll will no longer be a follower. This is not the case if Mjoll is following you at the time of your move. To prevent Aerin from ever moving in, tell Mjoll you're moving when she is actively your companion. If you need her to be replaced by someone else, tell her to wait. She will get bored and return to the new home, Aerin will remain in Riften, and you can recruit a new companion. So, I wouldn't kill him just yet. Save your bloodlust until after you're married
-
I believe she is marriable, but you have to complete the Misc. quest to find her sword, Grimsever, in a Dwarven ruin for her. Then you can marry her and have her as a companion. And I agree, the accent is quite annoying.

Skyrim mod - realistic carrying system
RitchieTheMerc replied to RitchieTheMerc's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I'll answer your questions question by question. 1) What about abilities that increase carry weight like in pickpocket or the other ability from the steed that would be another obstacle? I'm thinking about including special perks that come with the mod, so for the Mage Inventory.esp, the perk would be something like move faster with the satchels equipped. For the Warrior Inventory.esp, I'd include something like carry weight increased by 50 or so. And so on. 2) Are they gonna be actual containers(like chests, wardrobes, barrels, etc) or just an item that increases carry weight(like the enchant)? The actual bags and satchels themselves will only be models to appear on the player's back in 3rd person. Each bag/satchel might have its own unique enchantment. 3 )Now if they are an actual container are they gonna be accessible during combat or no? If they are how are people going to have access to potions and herbs. What about people hotkeying items? The inventory system will still function relatively the same. Players will be able to favourite and hotkey items like normal. 4) If they are an actual container do you really need models on the back when you could just drop the item on the floor and open it up like any other container? I think that doing this would be quite unnecessary, and the models would just get flung about during combat and such. 5) What happen to the fortify carry weight? Would you change it at all to fit in with your mod or would you just leave it alone? Some VERY minor fortify carry weight enchantments will be left in the vanilla game, such as fortify carry weight by 5 or maybe 10. 6) Now if you are only do it as a fortify carry weight which is already in the game so basically you just want to add backpack models to your characters? No, the mod will probably also feature inventory 'sections'. So for example if you opened your inventory now, you'd just see the usual- Weapons, Apperal?, Potions, Scrolls, Misc, etc, etc. But, with the mod installed, instead you'd see- (For example) Left belt satchel, Right belt satchel, Rucksack, etc. Clicking on one of these would open up another inventory system, so basically you'd have your one 'main' inventory: "Items", which is accessed from the 4-point star menu like normal. But, then inside that inventory will be three (or more) separate inventories (Left belt satchel, Right belt satchel, Rucksack). It's all quite confusing, I know, so if you want to ask me anymore questions, feel free! -

I never said I would remove anything, just add a new inventory system. Everything will still be in the game, you just won't be able to carry as much of it  -
Rendering issues with RACE duplicate
RitchieTheMerc replied to Popcornman68's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
This EXACT thing was VERY easily done using the GECK/CS for previous TES and Fallout games. You just needed to create a new texture, then a new texture set, then apply to an NPC (or something very similar to that). I'm sure once the CS is released for Skyrim there will be plenty of tutorials released relating to this kind of thing.
