No, if a texture in 1024p for example is increased to 2048p, it will just be larger BUT if you decrease a 2048p texture to 1024, then since their will not be enought pixel, the quality will be lower. dxt8 (i'm not even sure that it exist) as just different properties, such as alpha support, ext ...

The fact is (and I think it's what you've done) that changing the size of a 1024 (or 2048) texture to 2048 (or 4096) won't change anyting the texture is just larger but the render is the same, so no they should be no differences

First, I bought the models and I also paid the lisence but I was not going to upload it anywhere, futhermore, It is not to build a city but a castle which is not the same thing :)
