  1. Unfortunately, they were all already there :( Try lowering the overall settings from ultra high to high, or High to Medium. Watch for overheating as the GPU will start cutting back on its load if it gets to hot.
  2. Something to try just for the heck of it. Move all the sliders to the right-full in the settings and see if that helps?
  3. I had this issue when I was playing Morrowind Overhaul Project. You might want to check out their forums for a solution. maybe it will apply to FNV also. As this seems to be a video rendering issue Here's the link http://morrowindoverhaul.net/forum/ Good Luck!
  4. Just because you deactivate a mod does not mean the problem will go away. You need to remove all of the mod content then reinstall a fresh game and start it so the clean ini. file will be created. At that point it's a good idea to make a bak-up of the ini and anything else you will need to have a clean install. This way if things get to messed up you can start over easily. Use wrye Flash, FOMM for NV, and BOSS,NVSE,and FNVEdit to create a clean and stable game. They work ,I use them and can play 10 hrs plus without a crash or stutter.
  5. Start out by checking your load order against an updated BOSS load order .txt let me know if this solves the problem or not
  6. Are you using crossfire by any chance? I f so disable it and see if that solves the problem. If you are using a Radeon graphics card in catalyst control center turn off Anti aliasing "mode" and see if that works. Do these one at a time not both at once :whistling:
  7. I don't have a laptop so I'm not familiar with any issues with them. Do the graphics cards in laptops have a fan or is the pad your only option for cooling? how much memory do you have? What utilities and mods do you have installed? Is it Steam version?
  8. Do you update the load order template every day? (click Help tab>choose "check for update" Also make sure to toggle "Archiveinvalidation" off then on"
  9. Hello savyman! Most crashing problems like this are "load order" related. What utility are you using to adjust the load order?
  10. jim001 I think your doing something wrong. A install and the updating are two different things. If you are trying to re-install the game, make sure it is un-installed first or you'll have problems.Like bben46 said check the steam forums there's a ton of information there that can help.Steam is not a bad thing once you get familiar with it.
  11. Ya! I understand! I was just hoping. To see if anyone had heard anything. They keep information pretty close. Thanks!
  12. I would feel better if we could hear something from the game tech.support people. Because not very many games seem to be supporting SLI or Crossfire and I don't know why? It seems to make good sense to me. they will sell a lot more graphics cards that way.
  13. Does anyone know if we will be able to use crossfire with Skyrim?
  14. That will be great! thanx. Go ahead and send them to my e-mail. Use this address please
  15. Oh Man! I can"t believe I didn't win, I thought for sure I'd be the only one eligable ;) Duh! Way to go Mike! Game on!
  16. skibblets Here is the error I.m getting I don't understand this. this should be a simple install, I hope this helps
  17. Great stuff aye! beauty hosier! Happy Hakon Bacon.
  18. Guys! don't be disheartened all these problems can be fixed or worked around. After all you only have three options 1: Learn to use the utilities available ( I will help Alli can) 2:Don't use any mods (most problems are mod related) 3:Or switch to the console version But the rewards of being able to get all this new content for free and play at settings set to max. It truly is an adventure worth while
  19. Howdy ranafuineluva! Have tried kicking your settings on your graphics card up a little bit with the "AMD Vision control center"? and If you know how you should probably try to get a little more speed out of your memory. This requires making a change in the BIOS or you can download AMDs Overdrive utility. Feel free to e-mail me if you need help or more information with these suggestions. You will also need to use FNVEdit and preferably wrye Flash
  20. Hello Nova350 Have you reinstalled the game lately? This could be leftover files or changes to a previous ini.file. I had this problem only much more severe after uninstalling Project reality. Also search google for the problem maybe other nvida card users have had this issue. Good Luck and Game on!
  21. 77kbk77 in the future after you have the game downloaded from steam make a back up of the steam folder so if you mess the game up so bad you can't fix it you can delete the folder and replace it with the backup. Don't forget the save game folder and ini. file is in a different location "C:\ Documents\My Games\FalloutNV" or somthing similar delete the FalloutNV folder before starting a new game. If you use FOMM for NV, FNVEdit, and Wrye Flash you will have a very good chance of getting mods to play well together and less CTDs. Good Luck! Game on!
  22. Guys! this kind of crashing is usually do to a load order problem. Remember BOSS is not perfect. So read the readmes for your mods and you might find your solution. Also don't forget to update the load order "every day" as the load order may change with BOSS. This is assuming you're using BOSS. Wrye Flash, and FNVEdit also helps. If you need help with these utilities, I'm no expert but will be glad to help if you want you can email me so as not to use the forums. Game on dudes!
  23. Somthing that has worked very well for me. I am using windows 7 32bit Radeon 4850x2, (no crossfire) 4gb memory Phenom IIx4 965,(overclocked to 3600mhz through AMD vision engine control center) I have attached a copy of my mods list. ( Any suggestions for additional content is appreciated) Here is an attached copy of the Utilities used. Now that all that is out of the way. This is what I found that made a big differance in the game performance. I have the game Loaded with Steam on a 60gb SSD seperate from the OS. and I had another 60gb with nothing on it yet,so I thought I would try "Readyboost" and I designated a portion of that drive to readyboost and it has made a big difference in how smoothly the game loads cells and FPS. I have played for about 10 hrs streight with no,"YES thats NO CTDs" I hope this will help some of those having so much trouble. Keep this in mind when Skyrim comes out. It might help with that game also. I will test this with FO3 as it was another pretty buggy, ruff, unstable game. Good Luck all
  24. Is there tool or a mod that can smooth out the camera movement a little? It kinda gives me a headache after a while but this makes the game look awesome
  25. Removing J.I.W.bug remover esp fixed the problem and the attic is sealed  Thanks!
