  1. Man I'm excited for this game. Good luck to everyone, and thanks for the giveaway.
  2. In response to post #44169115. #44171160, #44171925 are all replies on the same post. He's already "explained" himself. Bethesda approached him about it, and of course he'd not turn it down, if you were in his shoes, you certainly wouldn't either; an opportunity to get paid for his work that he did for free, that would be great! But, unfortunately, due to the terrible way that the whole paid mods thing was implemented by Valve/Bethesda, he got caught up in a bunch of this negativity, and then they pulled the plug. End of story. You shouldn't demonize someone for taking such an opportunity, even if it was for a lost cause later on. Sometimes, s#*! happens, and Chesko is not to be blamed whatsoever for any of that mess.
  3. It seems absolutely pointless to me. The only people who would purchase them are the people who don't know about the nexus, and if they don't know about the nexus, then quite frankly I don't think they should be modding their game yet, especially Skyrim. What's the point in, say (I am not personally attacking this mod author), buying ineed off of the workshop when you could just come here and download it for free anyway? I don't like where this is going. If anything, it should be replaced by a "donate" button like we have here on the nexus, where you can still get mods for free, but can support the modder by donating. What they are trying to do is what they have done with CSGO, DotA and TF2, and that is understandable, those games thrived off of it since then. But this is a single player game with an already established set of ways to get mods (from the nexus, for free.... the workshop for skyrim on steam isn't great since updates can f*#@ up the game, as Skyrim is usually heavily modded with loads of other mods). I am really, really scared for where this is going.
  4. yup also confirmed this error is happening to me as well after updating my drivers. this is all for nvidia users, as yeah there was an update-driver 344.11-and it looks like we've gotta roll back an update. however clicking "okay" to the messages allowed me to play the game, although i believe it crashes after a bit of playing. edit: apparently rolling back doesn't work? and yeah this is due to ENB, i might deal with the error messages and see if i can play normally without crashing.
  5. if you still want the effects of the equiping overhaul but dont want the whole dropping weapons thing, turn off the "realistic equip-unequip" option from the MCM menu if you haven't. also remember to read the description of mods and their features in the future before you try them :D
  6. my character, Earow, is a Nord, and i like to think that he grew up as a child in Skyrim, but remembers little of it except the mountains because he ran away after his parents were killed, to put it simply. so yes, that could be plausible, you've just gotta role play. :D
  7. In response to post #11036079. yup, i am getting a similar problem: "Cannot reach the Nexus login server." when trying to login. and i can't access the skyrim of NMMpart to add mods, it gets stuck on the loading screen of NMM :(
  8. In response to post #10410226. #10410319 is also a reply to the same post. also same here.
  9. i was debating whether or not i should do this as well. at first i was just going to go with the essentials: get DARNUI, Ohud ect. then i thought that i might get the NMC packs, and the fallout redesigned mods..... but then i thought "screw it. i'll go all out." i dont think i would have had time to play through it unmodded and then play through it again modded, i have too many other games to play :D haven't beaten it yet, but the 14 hours i have played so far feels vastly superior to FO3 (even FO3 modded). like what jim_uk said, it is much more of an RPG than FO3, and is instantly vastly superior to FO3 just because of that IMO. i hope that Obsidian makes the next FO games (or even better, obsidian AND bethesda, best of both worlds). anyway, i couldn't play through FO3 unmodded either. i got most of the way through, modded it a bit, restarted the game and played through the game modded to the teeth. FONV is a lot more easier to mod for as well, it has way less compatibility patches than FO3, and thus more stability (although both games still crash constantly, but i deal with it) and more FPS (i have a decent PC that runs most games maxed out, for some reason outside in FO3 modded the game runs at about 30fps, FONV modded runs double. probably engine limitations and amount of mods used, though). but anyway, if you have the time to play through unmodded, then sure, go ahead. but it is highly reccomended after to play through it again and mod it up, OR while you are playing through for the first time, mod it up as you please. personal preference, really.
  10. haha, strange lol. maybe he still haven't forgiven you all those years ago. seriously, did he try to attack you when you set him on fire? because his aggression may not have stopped? maybe don't shoot them (and holster your weapon) and see if he calms down or not.
  11. you can disable drug effects in the FWE module it came with, which will stop the blur from morphine. but i dont think that FWE had motion blur....
  12. i'm guessing you are using EVE w/ FWE and with compatibility patches between the two? fix is here: http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/15961//?
  13. i think you might have been under the influence of drugs, lol. you may have been injected by an enemy, or you might have done it accidently yourself. maybe you should go back a save when it was blurry, and look at current effects tab thing on the pip boy.
  14. nope, didn't work at all. this is a curious case.... i guess i am going to have to live with it.
  15. yeah, i get the same problem. usually it is fixed by re-loading the game, and re-loading it again if it occurs again. i think it is due to running an enormous amount of mods (like what i do) that results in the engine just stuffing up sometimes.
  16. it is a bug with the EVE-FWE release that causes the main menu to screw up. here is the fix: http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/15961//?
  17. bump it does not appear to be in the "target" tab either, it is just blank...
  18. so, I am trying to record this strange... thing that i had found, and when i boot up Dxtory, the FPS counter does not show up ingame, and when hitting the hotkey to record, it does not work. it works for every other game except for FO3 FOSE as it seems. i am running FOSE heavily modded, and i am also using fake fullscreen, however i don't think that effects it, because not using it doesn't change anything. and if it has anything to do with it, i do use the steam overlay with FOSE. i'll go see if i can record with vanilla FO3 and see if it works, so i can see if it is a FOSE related problem or not. has anyone encountered this issue before, and know a fix? thanks. EDIT: it doesn't seem to work with vanilla either...
