  1. Could you tell us what the variable place is actually for? i can't seem to work it out. it is only stuck on the end of the script . If you want the 2nd and 3rd button to be used after placing 1 set then my guess would to remove replace ActTvs with Place and add a condition onto the message box for button 2 and 3 to only be displayed if Place is greater than 0. (end of edit) As far as i understood it "Place" was there to enable options once the TV was locked in place. So it should also work as a variable for positioning of 4 T.Vs. If you use the condition on the message window rather than here the options will only appear if you have placed a static T.V. Although my understanding of scripts isn't the best this will probably work better for you. I also have a habit of mis-understanding what people actually want, so my apologies if i screwed up again.
  2. how about a scripted container then, if you can add a container to the player's inventory? like putting all your ammo in there and when you activate the container to take it out you get the message window? Sorry don't know what your planning so this is the best alternative i can think of. Of course it would mean a big script to account for all ammo types and to remove and add the correct amount from the locker and add to the player. Thx TG, i thought he/she just meant ammo found on the floor. My bad reading skills there :(
  3. i can think of one, but it's an annoying way of dealing with it. A perk, hidden if you don't want people to know it's there, added to the player with an "Entry Point" "On Activate" for when ammo is activated. Just add ammo to a formlist and get the perk to check if the activated item is in the list. Then it will automatically run the script when the ammo is activated, the script being the one you type in correct area of the perk window. Like i said it's annoying having hidden perks running in the background, but it's the only way i can think of to get your script running on activation of ammo. Entry Point Info

If a reminder for voting/tracking/rating was put in, i think that right after clicking the server in the download window you should get a reminder to do these things, with a nice screenshot of a dummy file showing you where you can do each thing. Would be a nice tutorial for new folk, alternatively have it as a tutorial option in members area. Dunno how this site works, and won't pretend to either, but i hope something like the latter could be introduced. Even just an article in the article database would be nice, with a link to it given after sign-up. It would certainly take away at least one of the file soliciting excuses :) I think thats one of the longest posts i've written/typed.. :) Edit: reading my post over, i should state that i meant a tutorial on how to rate/vote/whatever any file, not just some-one's own file, before some-one mis-understands.
  5. Will this purge all requests for Ratings/File of the Month Votes? As in Article Database/Forums e.t.c? File pages are not the only place i see people begging, so i was just wondering about those. Seems people will beg for votes anyway they can. I tend to ignore these, i'm just wondering though. My curiosity would not kill a cat, it would make them extinct :P
  6. @ANG3Looo: This appears to be a Rating System overhaul, not a brand new system. Also seems to be stopping anyone asking for votes in their file descriptions too. Should even the system up, not undermine it ;) Although to be honest i feel any rating system is unfair, but that's just a personal opinion, i just dislike competition of any form.

  8. I'm curious as to how this update will work, what minimum rating does a file need before it gets converted to a thumbs up? What happens to files with a rating of say 1/10. Do they still get rated as thumbs up, or a thumbs down if they are included?

  10. I've had followers teleport before, though that was a problem with Navmesh and they couldn't find a path to me. So maybe they teleport cause you got too far away and they couldn't pathfind?
  11. How do i spawn an item with the Tesla Cannon's explosion and make it moveto a trigger zone? The Activator to do this DLC03TeslaDynamicExplosion already exists, just need to know how to do the above with it.
  12. Would a OnTrigger/OnTriggerEnter Block work on a weapon script? If so what would the GetActionRef return for a reference? Sorry the G.E.C.K wiki isn't too clear on this. Trying to fix my Tesla Cannon so that it DOES 1-hit k.o a vertibird, rather than attracting the attention of Enclave soldiers wanting to know who just chucked a pebble at their ride.... :sweat:
  13. tehehe, i must be really evil then, coz i would hire the limit of 250 soldiers in an army just to slaughter them all and loot them for armour, potions, gold and e.t.c. Also really good assasination practice when there's 250. :devil: Oh man, i'm gonna have to hire some really good cleaners afterward, just to clean up all the blood :(

  15. Scary? well the only bit so far to give me a shock is on the Shivering Isles. Theres a Heretic base just a little north of Bliss, where all the Red Kelp plants grow. I cleared the first room and found a button on the main platform, i daftly decided to stand on the platform and push the button. The floor went skyward for me :( I looked down and couldn't even see where i was gonna land, i freaked out cuz i thought i was gonna die and i had forgot to save :( Hilarious afterward though :) Definately a good idea from whoever at Bethesda thought of it :D

My needs are simple, a big garden with a variety of alchemy plants and a huge storage area, with chests clearly marked with what they contain, or mannequins i can outfit with the armour they contain. Anything else is a bonus ;) Edit: oops, forgot the reason why that you wanted, The storage area coz i'm a notorious collector of EVERYTHING. The garden coz of my collecting habits i need alchemy potions to sell for money :(

Personally i'd take microsoft sam talking if it meant i didn't have to worry about all this voice acting rubbish when making a mod, coz now a blank mp3 is need to achieve the correct time for speech. i also found morro's text talking better, means i dont keep the neighbours up all night with my talking to merchants trying to get a good price :whistling: I'd also like to see some kind of assasins the player could hire for either people who attack you, i.e bandits, or for anyone. A nice side effect of this being if the person killed the assasin, like a tough guard, the could find the contract then come after the player next time they see them, especially if you dont know wether they fail or not until you visit the person again to get your loot. tehehe....
  19. my funniest incident would be stalking a wolf in sneak mode, i aimed the bow and the arrow hit it directly below the tail, where its butt is. It jumped up vertically before dying, amusing as it looked like it jumped up from the shock of having an arrow in its backside.

  23. okay, how about some breakable scenery... like chopping down trees or being able to smash furniture over your foes... :) better yet, buyable castes with working defences systems, huge mangonels or catapults for example... :rolleyes:
  24. hi, sorry i repeat what someone else mentioned but i dont really wanna trail through hundreds of comments to check... anyways, i'd like to see some kid npcs in the next game, its too weird walking around seeing adults everywhere. failing that an ability to marry npcs of opposite gender would be nice, provided you owned a home to put them in e.t.c... the possiblities that would open up for modders is unthinkable *grins in an evil way*
