1. I don't create mods myself so I didn't really have any idea if this could be done when I originally posted it but I'm glad to see that it is possible. Actually, the lack of proper animations don't really bother me personally, but I've noticed that poor animations have been one of the most consistent things various skyrim reviews seem to complain about, so I'm guessing this kind of mod would be a big hit.
2. Very recently I experienced a bug where, the very second I became a vampire, my Ebony Shield becames invisible. The shield is equipped, and pressing block causes the same blocking animation, but there's no visible shield, I don't know whether this affects if the shield still blocks damage or not. However, as I've tested so far this bug only seems to affect Ebony Shields, as I've tried equipping hide, glass, dwarven, steel, and daedric shields and found no issues. Here's what I've tried to fix it myself so far: Post vampirism: 1. Unequipping and re-equipping the Ebony Shield. 2. Saving and loading, both with the shield equipped and not. 3. Equipping a different shield and then re-equipping the Ebony one. 4. Purchased a different Ebony shield to the one I was using and equipping that instead. Pre-vampirism 1. Loaded an earlier save to ensure it wasn't an isolated incident. 2. I was still able to see the Ebony shield after loading. 3. Transitioned to vampire both with and without the Ebony shield equipped. 4. Transitioned to vampire with another type of shield equipped, still can't see the Ebony shield and did not make the other shield invisible. None of the above have fixed the issue. What is going on here?
3. I'm not doing this myself, I'm asking for other people that actually know how to mod to do it.
4. So, of all these, in order from most important to least, what do you really want in a Skyrim werewolf mod? For me, it's: 1. The ability to loot, manipulate objects, and access your inventory, and the lockpicking that goes with that. 2. The ability to sneak, especially on all fours, because what is a predator without the ability to stalk his prey? 3. The ability to transform whenever you want, as many times as you want, and stay a werewolf as long as you want. 4. Automatically re-equip the equipment you had on before, or failing that, the ability to favorite sets of equipment so you can put it back on with the push of a button. 5. Reducing the werewolf in size slightly, so you can fit through any opening that your human character can. After that, everything else is just icing on the cake.
5. I don't know if it would even be possible to mod things like this in, but the animations and details of Skyrim could really use some work. For instance, if I draw a sword and slash someone without a helmet across the face, there should be a cut at the same spot that even follows the blade, if they have a helmet sparks should show following the sword same as the blood. In either case, the enemy's reaction to being slashed across the face should also be approprate, their head should turn away from the blade as they are being hit, a lot like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0sXJ0ZvRPHs and after being hit if their health isn't too low (in which case falling to their knees is fine) look enraged and attack (wish I knew of a clip somewhere that shows that). Aside from the combat, the animations for Skyrim in general need work, people's actions and facial expressions don't really match the emotions of the words their words convey, in short, they sound happy but don't look happy, sound angry but don't look angry.
6. I mean robes, wearing them over armor the exact same way you can in Morrowind, and now that I think about it, hoods too.
7. I basically shot them point blank, so I don't think that's the issue.
8. This would be something similar to the oblivion robes over armor mod, but with Jewelry like Necklaces included too. Basically, I want to be able to wear robes and armor at the same time like you could in Morrowind, and necklaces, amulets, or whatever they call them over armor as well. With robes, it sucks that you can't really wear them all the time because of how useless they are in actual combat, while the Jewelry can be worn but they're worn under the armor instead of on top of it, which means you can only see them if there's a seam in the chest of the armor, and not at all if there isn't. If someone could eventually make this mod without clipping issues I'd be very appreciative.
9. I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, but I've run into a couple of dragons so far that will not swoop down and attack me so that I can kill them. The dragons just circle around in the sky endlessly, in fact I don't even think they are there, I climbed up a mountain and tried to shoot it with about a hundred arrows, and while it's possible I may have missed every shot, it never even looked in my direction much less attacked me. So, what is going on here?
10. I was talking about the mechanics of Skyrim's Werewolves, not it's appearance. In appearance werewolves are pretty good, but for the mechanics I much preferred the werewolves they used in the bloodmoon expansion. However, now that you mention it, while I really like the looks of the werewolf, I wish it had more variation, and not just in color, but in size and shape also, and based on race and gender. For instance, as the smallest race Bosmer should also be the smallest werewolves, and as one of the more scrawny looking races the thinnest and least muscular, (mechanic-wise they should be as strong as any other werewolf though) while the Nords would be the tallest and one of the most muscular. I can't imagine exactly how being a werewolf would affect the beast races, aside from turning the Khajiit into sabe cats and the Argonians into dragons, but that makes them werecats and weredragons so we're talking about a different transformation altogether, but I'm sure someone with more imagination can come up with aesthetics based around the beast races. As for the color of the fur and eye, it should be based on the skin and eye color of the races, for example dark blue fur for Dunmer and black for the Redguards, and Dunmer typically have reddish eyes so replacing the typical werewolf yellow irises with red ones would be a good idea.
11. Pretty much everything posted yet in this thread, one massive mod with it's various features able to be toggled on and off for those that want some features and not others would be a good idea. For my contribution, I picked all of the above, and here's my other: I haven't been a werewolf yet, I'm waiting for a mod like this to make it so much better, but I hear you can't cast spells while a werewolf, aside from these things called howls which is different from what I mean. I find this ridiculous because there are plenty of other mindless creatures that can cast spells so why not you? I also hear that werewolves have problems fitting though some spaces in dungeons that as normal you can fit through easily enough, so the werewolf model needs to be made slightly smaller to fix this. I've made my own thread asking for mods about werewolves, and from what I've seen werewolves are one of the most requested things on these forums to get modded in Skyrim. From what I hear about it the werewolf in Skyrim was implemented VERY poorly in this game. I don't know about the rest of you, but if I was going to be a werewolf I'd want to be able to spend a majority of my time in Skyrim fully transformed into one, otherwise it's not really much of a feature.
12. Thanks, I finally got it to work, and I'm happy to support this dragon mod, it's both an excellent idea and something that I'm surprised isn't already part of the game, it seems to fit so well with the subject matter.
13. Just copy and paste this into your signature and take out the Es. ;) [iEmg]http://img854.imageshack.us/img854/1735/supportsdragonmod.png[/img] [siEze=5]Ω [foEnt=Impact][cEolor=#FF0000]Copy this and support Playable Dragon Mods! Ω Didn't work, I got this: "[#10210] You are not allowed to use that image extension on this board."
14. This actually becomes pretty handy in a mod that lets you transform back and forth from werewolf to human infinitely. I would endorse this mod' date=' simply because the whole "once a day" thing makes werewolves rather underpowered in comparison to their vampiric enemies. I also wouldn't mind being able to open my damn inventory and loot items. It's unrealistic as hell but it's the main reason I never use Beast Form (though this might become largely useless if you can use Beast Form all day long). [/quote'] I made another thread myself asking for mods for werewolves, including these, it's nice to see that plenty of other people hate how the werewolves in Skyrim are implemented as much as I do. http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/462740-skyrim-werewolves-mods-request/page__p__3815270#entry3815270
15. He cannot start working on it untill the Creation tool has been released, So setting a date would be pointless, its a waiting game for all us modders That's another thing, does anyone have any idea when Skyrim's creation tool will be released?
16. Due the the massive size of dragons it would be impractical to use them as is, but perhaps it could be a small dragon, about the size of a werewolf. In fact, it would be a good idea to make it a transformation like the werewolf, but first person and without the whole you can't pick up or use things crap. BTW, how do I add an image into my signature? I want to put in the supports dragon image everyone else is using, and I tried copying and pasting it directly, didn't work. Sorry if I sound like a noob but I've never done it before.
17. I'd like some of these things and not others (I made my own werewolf mods request btw) though not others, so I would suggest either having these features only as one mod for each, or a toggle for each feature in the options menu or somewhere in a mass mod so we'd only use the features we like.
18. I know that Skyrim has only been out for a few days, but I'm wanting some modding to be done to the werewolf. I haven't even become a werewolf yet, but based on what I know from reading the official Player's Guide I have noticed a few things that I would like modded, specifically: 1. The most important one, the ability to access your inventory. From what I hear as a werewolf you can't access your inventory, you can't even pick things up, which is a major problem for dungeon crawling because you can't access your keys like golden claws and such, which means that you'd often be locked out of many parts of every dungeon, and since you can't access your inventory I assume you can't lockpick either, which if I'm right is another thing I'd like changed. This problem makes staying a werewolf for long periods of time all but impossible. I understand not being able to equip anything, but this makes being a werewolf downright crippling for much of the game. Besides, I'd like to be able to sneak into a town at night, unlock a door, and slaughter people in their beds one of these days. 2. The ability to transform into a werewolf at will, and stay that way as long as you wanted which would almost negate No. 1, except that you still wouldn't be able to stay a werewolf for days or weeks on end, I don't know yet if you have to reequip everything every time you transform back to human, but if so a mod that fixes that would work well with this one. A similar Morrowind mod has you transform back and forth by simply pressing the sneak button for only a split second, holding it longer you wouldn't transform. I really liked that mod and would like to something just like it done again. That all I can think of so far, unless someone makes a mod or mods that can do these things I probably won't become a werewolf and probably stick with vampire when I get around to transforming my character. Thank you for your help.
19. I've been looking all over the net for a Argonian Vampire look mod that does the following: - Removes Oblivion's reset to default skin color bug (if it IS a bug) when Argonians become vampires, it should stick with the color the player originally set, including the off colors that are not by default possible for Argonians in the character creator, like blue, black, white, etc. - Removes the human-like pink eyes that Argonians get when they become vampires, instead, I would suggest replacing those eyes with eyes that are still lizard-like, but with black sclera and glowing red pupils. Finally, I just decided to ask modders for it, if you can make a mod like this one or point me to one that does at least the skin one, I'd be very appreciative, and if you had to make it, I guaratee it would be an instant hit. The Oblivion Argonian Vampire looks pretty hideous in my opinion, and this mod would help them look less sickening and more badass.
