  1. In response to post #47428125. #47428205, #47431185, #47432280, #47433255, #47441410, #47442305, #47450560, #47452285, #47456050 are all replies on the same post. +another one for virtual folders here. I can't imagine that reading these comments supporting virtual folders after stating otherwise would be very moralizing, nor will I make any mean spirited or "will not use/support statements" here. But the virtual folder architecture that MO utilizes is SO IMPORTANT to the more "advanced" users of this community. 3 to 4 years ago it was common to see a "we do not support MO users" warning on several mod pages here, but now (to my knowledge at least, and I may be wrong here) it is just a few mods that continue to state this warning. I am not trying to criticize NMM2 in any way (or even NMM1 for that matter), and I have no idea how it will look and work, what will be implemented, etc, and I realize that the effort going into creating such a beast of a program must be absolutely daunting. No matter what NMM2 ends up to be or how it works I will absolutely be trying it out, if nothing else but for the respect I have for the Nexus community as well as for Tannin's work. I just felt it relevant to share this. But then again it was Tannin42 who created MO, maybe there is more creative genius behind NMM2. And after all, it is ONLY my opinion I share here, and we all know what those are like and how fast they can change ;-)
  2. "...when we started this whole thing (back with OBSE in 2006) it was not permissible for any modders to accept any money (via donations, patreons, gofundmes or what have you). So the spirit in which we started these projects continues - we make the script extenders to enable better mods to make a better game experience. If you want to give back to the community - go write a mod or support the mod developers directly." A most honorable and noble position concerning your contributions, behippo. It is this very mindset right here that makes the modding community what it is. This entire comment thread is inspiring :-) I have never personally written a mod, I do not know the first thing about it lol. But when I read things like this it makes me want to play a bigger role in the community than I currently do and it makes me tremendously proud of the small part that I already play. I have always supported and endorsed EVERY mod I have ever downloaded, whether I liked it or not, whether I could run it or not, because I appreciate the fact that someone spent their own time and energy to make something to enhance the game and then choose to selflessly share it with every one else far more than I appreciate the mod/contribution itself. This place is a living, beautiful collective consciousness that, fortunately, we are all VERY privileged to be a part of. To all of you who share this mindset (and even to those who don't), to all of you who have selflessly given to this community throughout the days/weeks/months/years, even to all of those who, like myself, have merely stood by simply to enjoy themselves and share their happiness; THANK YOU for being a part of this community, THANK YOU for sharing your time and energy for and with the rest of us, and THANK YOU for the little pieces of yourselves that you have left here for the rest of us to enjoy and benefit from. The gaming world simply wouldn't be what it is without any of you, and from the bottom of my heart, I am most humbly grateful :-)
  3. This article gave me an out-of-body experience. It was hilarious. I can't stop laughing...
  4. I just came upon this while reading a sticky in one of your mods here on the Nexus, and in the chance that you may see this I have decided to post. Grandbulwark, you do not know me, but I know your contributions here just as well as I know my game. Simply put, my game would not be what it is today, in terms of immersion, playability, performance, and stability without your helpful mods and guide. I myself know all to well the real life cost of losing ones' self and most precious time in the obsessive endeavors of gaming. In my book, your name sits right along side Gamerpoets, Gopher, Brodual, and the other Skyrim giants. You have my sincere gratitude, up-most respect, and earnest well wishes for the future wherever it may take you, sir.
  5. Just really got into checking your mods out here today. It's a bit disheartening to discover a new real mod artist and find out they've left the community already all in the same day :-( Unfortunately, that's becoming more and more common as of late. Personally, I don't think I'll EVER be able to walk away from Skyrim lol. It's not just the modding, or the story, or the environment, graphics, or even canon. I really can't tell you exactly what makes me keep opening the game every day or two, to be honest I don't even think I know myself why I keep coming back. The last game I felt this passionate about was Diablo II, and that lasted from the moment it was released to about 3 years ago lol. I'm sure I'll be passing that mark with Skyrim into the future. It's sad to see that you've moved on Ghosu, and even though I'm only now discovering your mods I can tell you that we are all richer for you having been here and you have certainly left your mark on the community. Thank you for the time, energy and creativity you've spent to make the game that much better, and, ultimately, THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing it all with the rest of us Ghosu!!! :-)
  6. I've got to agree with Matthiaswagg on this. Although ETaC is a TREMENDOUSLY popular mod (and rightly so I might add) I don't think it would really be appropriate to tie this mod to it as a requirement. Just recently when I went through a reinstall and created a completely new mod build in MO, I decided to use Jk's Skyrim instead of Missjennabees ETaC. I don't like JK's more than ETaC or think it's any better, I was just ready for something new, something different than what I was used to. Chances are that I'll most likely use ETaC again in my next build (maybe even combine the two and get the best of both mods) and continue to recommend it as the #1 town and village enhancement that there is. But as I said, and this is just my opinion (after all, disagreement and differing views are the oil that lubricates the gears of progress and change), I don't think it would be a good idea to make Awake dependent upon ETaC as a master. But, however, I can appreciate the respect for ETaC to make such a suggestion :-) Thanks for the update and requirement info Apollodown!!!
  7. Blank here too. Tried to highlight, ctrl+a, just in case of invisible text, nothing. Gonna downgrade until its been fixed. Also using Mod Organizer.
  8. I have been dealing with this same problem for omnths now with no resolution. I have erased and reinstalled skyrim on my computer three times over the last year, and its happened to me all three times. Maybe someone will see this post and offer some advice, but Im not gonna hold my breath lol. Here's a couple things I've learned about the bug when it happens to me: - I'm pretty sure its a bug that has to do with FNIS (Fores' New Idles) not getting along with something. - It occurs in specific areas/cells in skyrim, both indoors and outdoors, not sure why but it feels like location has something to do with it as well. - Once it occurs, that save stays that way, no matter what patchers or programs I run or re-run (including GenerateFNISforusers). - If I go back far enough, up to 5 or 10 hours worth of saves back, I can resume an old save without the problem, but run into it again eventually. - One time I temporarily fixed the bug by reinstalling the game, but it only worked that once, and still got the bug again later. I tried to uninstall FNIS and all my othert animation mods, but it froze all actors in a standing position, including me, even after re-running GenerateFNISforusers after the removal of the mods. It can get pretty maddening lol. Anyway, I hope this info might help you out in some way.
