  1. *Remove On Strike Enchantments.

Instead, for an enchantment to take effect it must be a power attack.

    REASONS:

-It Makes enchanted weapons less godly, and more tactical.

-There was nothing worse than completely exhausting your weapons power after each battle.

i actually only kept enchanted daggers in OB so i could save the power and use it when i want to apply it, not on every strike.

  2. *Looting the dead publically should be a crime

    -

    (expanding upon earlier idea)

Normally in oblivion's cities you were home free once you got out of the city gates,

well i think the warning bell should also alert guards in closeby outposts and outlying villages.(but not the entire hold....yet)

*Also gatehouse stables should also supply horses for guards as well.

We have yet to see a good chase sequence via horseback.....

    -

*Allow guards the authority to 'commandeer' horses they dont own.

  3. Horses....being able to hijack them while others are riding them....it would be awesome to just punch them and drag them off the horse while simutaneously getting on...also have NPC's actually chase on horseback, if we get on a horse and the Guard has a horse nearby he will jump on and chase us.when within range he will get off his horse and resume attacking this would only be used for chasing. i don't want to lose a guard so easily if i jump on a horse and ride off in a random direction...also being able to tame wild horses...in oblivion you saw wild horses but couldnt tame them.,this way you can tame horses and not have to pay such a hefty amount of gold:you can tame it by sneaking up behind it and attaching a saddle...but sneaking up on it is extremely difficult so it takes a high sneak skill so you sometimes have to pay for a horse if you're not the stealth type...

    So....

*attacks which can dismount riders from there horse.

How about 2h Power attacks,Stealth attacks, H2H base attacks and arrow critical hits.

For all but the H2H you are not neccesaily Dragging the rider off, but instead the fose from the atacks should make him fall off...

    -

*Waving a torch or 'scaring the horse' should cause the horse to rear, Making the rider fall off.

    -

*Expanding upon the 'Rearing concept.*Mounting a hostiles horse during combat should have a 60% percent chance of the horse Raering you off.

    -Villager's horse-40%

    -Bandit's horse- 40%-60%

    -Guard's horse- 70%

    -

<fom another thread>*When following an Npc(quests) Have him match his speed to ours, Raher than our speed to his.

<Many people disliked the slow npcs who asked you o follow them during quests and then snailed thee way to the objective. STOPPING when you felll behind or dragged ahead>

*In Oblivion each power attack had two animations.

1 for before you learned he perk :Standing power atacks now do 30% more damage

And 1 after you learned the perk, Which looked much more refined and more proffesional.

*When at 20% fatigue or less revert the animation back to the unrefined less skill full version as to simulate Tiring

*Make the chance of success in a power attacks special ability(Paralyse/Disarm) be proportional to your current fatigue.

    (100% fatigue = 20% chance)

    (10% fatigue = 5% chance)

What do you suppose the Skyrim fishy stick reference will be?

Morrowind - a book entitled "Capn's Guide to the Fishy Stick"

Oblivion - One of the quotes from M'aiq the Liar in Oblivion is "M'aiq wishes he had a stick made out of fishies [sic] to give to you. Sadly, he does not."

The Morrowind and Oblivion facts are taken from UESPWiki

    An ACTUAL fishy stick...

Im more curious as to what the H.P. Lovecraft Referance will be.

I will also record my travels on a map, a cataloging places of specific interest, Alchemical Ingerediant Locations and Uncleared Nests.

Gee, i wish there was an option to bar you from Seeing certain Menus.

I will Document and sketch Flora and its alchemical effects,

Draw Creatures iv encountered and write stories about people iv met.

    I can. not. wait.

  7. maybe having the guards falsley accuse you of a crime having them check your inentory if its not there the charges are dropped but, having some way to stop you from dropping it on the ground then picking it up later....also having the guards say the charges you're being accused for ex: is resisting arrest, attempted murder, murder, theft, bigamy, etc then stating the final (x) amount of gold you are wanted for....

I like them saying what you are being accused of. But I think there ought to be a legal system where you can plea and if your speech is high enough you can talk your way out

so maybe like a trial system? you have to plead your case to the earl of the region...?

That could become far too trivial, Perhaps for major crimes, or in certain situations.

It would be terrible to have to go to court for every crime. But i assume you mean if you WANT to plead your case.

Some guards shouldnt give you that liberty. And some should. OB guards were all cookie cutouts with no varying Morales.

  10. For me it wasn't the limited types of magic that was the problem. I felt that there wasn't enough animation and light and all that shiny stuff. The reason I play a wizard in TES Games is because there's nothing better than destroying a foe in a blaze of lights and effects. The disappointment was that every spell of each element had almost exactly the same look about them. I first realised this way back when I did the Cheydinhal Mages Guild Recommendation and got exited aboutthe Fingers of the Mountain spell. It was a shame when I saw it looked the same as any other lightning spell.. Midas Magic solved this problem and then some, and I regret that I never managed to play it quite enough.

Though I know how time consuming and difficult this can be to make new spell effects and animations, it would be nice even if smaller things happened, like a more effective fireball being bigger and redder, with the most powerful being very large with a white-blue-red-orange type flame. Also, in Oblivion, when you made your own spell the dominant effect would give the animation. I think it would add great diversity if a damage health and lightning effect spell (for example) would give something like red lighting bolts as opposed to the same animation for your common lightning spell.

This was in Oblivion, and I don't know if it's going to change in Skyrim. I hope so.

Well you will be happy... at least with lightning. A journalist mentioned necromancers casting a variety of lightning colors.

    -

    Earth-Quicksand Rune

    -

Lightning should have a way to counter it in some form.

Perhaps if you cast lightning while being struck you Absorb the damage and multiply your attack. so you become a conduit for the attack.

<Much like Uncle Iroh's own trick in the Last airbender.>

    -

Frost can be countered with a fire attack and vice cersa. But lightning bypasses any defense other than lightning itself.

    -

    Pure Light based attacks?

    -

Air-We still DO NOT know what the 3 tiered verson of Fus Roh Da does....The trailer cut out as it occured...they must have done that ofr a reason...

Air-Perhaps in future titles when Shouts are no longer an option it can be a Nonletha spell.

Such as a way to back enemies off or trip them. Perhaps with a pecific technique you can create and eventually control windstorms.

    -

    Air-Suffocation pockets?

    -

Earth-earhbender attack where spires arise and attack from the ground,Ceiling.

  11. How about detectable shadows?

    Alerts from sprung traps

    Alerts from Blood Tracks

    or the inverse

    -Lower detectibility while in storms

-Lower detectibility if you are not facing the accuser

    -Cloaks/concealment/Infilitration by uniform/Masks

-With a high sneak skill you become harer to detect even WHILE NOT IN SNEAKMODE.(As to represent skill carryovers)

  12. The problem with this concept is...That it should NOT be about fighting...At all.

Nazi zombies encourages you to slay every zombie for points. That would never transfer well over to TES.

it should not be a battle.

    It should be about surviving.

    Fleeing,Escaping,Running,

    Rescuing,Hiding, Running.

Lets say the creature is...Werewolves coming down from the mountains.

The setting is...A String of villages.

    The atmosphere is...Fullmoon/Fog/Thunderstorms/Torches/Halloween.

you descend upon the town and the event starts(and never ends, you can come back to the town in turmoil at any time. But you can only Leave the town in a certain difficult way.<as to maintain the fear aspect>)

The werewolves are clearly overpowered and would massacre anyone in masse. so it is nott about ighting them,

Its about fending them off and surviving.

  13. I hope TES always keeps its roots in RPG grounds but it really is an action rpg and there isn't anything wrong with an action style mode like this if its handled right "repeating myself" .. point I wanted to say is that TES was originally meant as a purely action game ..Set in a "Arena" much like what a horde mode could be set in .. they just got carried away and built an rpg by mistake "A very happy accident" .. the whole reason they had the arena in oblivion was a call back to the original concept of the game .. I'm sure everyone knows their history though :geek:

Once again, battle sequences are for action.

    This is a ...Survival mode.

  14. Ahhhh Hardware Limitations

  15. Here is how I invision it.

    --

On the northern most portions of the map, outside the territories is the setting.

The Horde MODE aspect was a terrible phrasing.

Its much more of just a....More aggresive version of the Dragon epidemic.

Large numbers of aggresive 'Creatures' roam in a large but tight area. The setting is very 'Halloweeny and a very dark atmosphere,

Heavy fog, Common thunderstoms and Creepy Ambience.

The 'Creatures spawn in specific locations at a rapid rate well call them 'GraveYards'

You are NOT tied down to a location you have to defend. You are 100% free roam. But a common strategy is to of course, Bunker down in a NON LOAD cell.

thats a VERY rough explanation. But just know that it is not a Horde Mode or Multiplayyer/Co-op/ or arena in any way.

It is just a Setting with applications and a specific atmosphere. The enemies spawn rapidly and you are not encouraged to 'kill em all' Its more about Chasing/Escorting/Defending/ and surviving.

    It meant to be....Scary.
