  1. A Deadlock is...

When two opposing forces clash simultaneously, and are locked in a battle of force, Each attempting to overpower the other, and thus gain the advantage.

    -

In Spells~ A Hostile Mage casts a powerful flamethrower spell in your direction.

~You cast a powerful Frost Spray in his direction

~The two spells meet in the middle, and build in power. Which ever mage runs out of magic first, will succumb to the damage of both spells.

    -

    -

In Mellee Combat~You and your opponent, both with 2Handed weps. power attack at the same time.

~Your blades clash mid swing, and you are given a few options

-Continue to press the attack button to attempt to win the deadlock(at a cost of your own fatigue)

-Press the jump button, and a directional key to attempt to roll out of the way (At a chance of being disarmed)

-Move forward or backward to your opponent to atempt to cause them to lose faigue faster(While closer)

*But if you lose the deadlock while being too close, there will be litle chance you will be able to roll out of harms way &

the damage you take will be increased heavily

-Who ever runs out of fatigue first will lose the Deadlock, and will have there weapon forced out of the way, and will be heavily staggered. extremely succeptable to a critical attack.

    -

    -

In Hand to Hand~It works as a grapple feature(Heavily used by guards to restrain you or block an exit)

~Works much like above, but is quicker.

~If the grapple comes from behind, you will be also losing Health while atempting to fend of you attacker.

~If you lose, you will be fall unconcios and be at the mercy of the victor.

*Spiders can use it to attempt to force poison into you

(if you lose, you may wake up in a spider web, and must cut youself free<Wampa scene from Star Wars>)

*Guards can use it if one gets behind you. Or if they catch up to you while fleeing

(Instead of just swinging at you backside. this will make guards much much more dengerous)

*Basicaly any creature can use it on you if---You have you back tuned to it

    ---Your fatigue is low

    WHA DO YOU THINK?

  2. The fourth craft archetype.

    Mysticism.

Magick in The Elder Scrolls doesnt feel like Arcane magic at all.

I realise they have mades strives to improve it, recenty even with duel wield and the loss of Spell creation.

In reality its just assigning it to a hand and pressing a button. :( (after buying it from a merchant too...0.o?)

There is no mystery, no lure, no discovery to it.

But with mysticism,, its about conjuring the knowledge from the six magic schools, and mixing and experimenting. creating formulas to succes. and documenting failures.

discovering new applications to your piece of work. or making additions to it.

Placing much hard work, knowledge, and power into a creation that is entirely your own, and unscripted.

The creation of the Gatekeeper was an amazing example of this.

Osseous Marrow, Dermis Membrane, Essence of Breath and Blood Liqueur coming together through sorcery to bring to life a powerful serving guardian.

It was mystcical, strange, and Powerful.

But effort was needed to aquire the components. and knowledge was needed to assemble them.

Searching for books, information, masters, anything with knowledge hidden in it to advance your ideas.

Ungoverned by any skill, it is only dictated by what you know, and what you dont know. and how far your willing to persevere and how limited your imagination is.

    -

    ALTERATION + CONJURATION

=BRING STATUES TO LIFE, THEN CONTROL THEM.

    -

It's not realling 'Mixing spells' to be presice.

It's more of a procces of effect.

It's about having knowlege in different schools to increase your power.

Rather than having each skill work seperately, you can combine to create more advanced and tactical gameplay.

    --

In its most basic form, it works like this.

You cast restoration on a felled companion to extract his lifesource into a soul gem.

You cast conjuration to move the soul into a statue.

You cast Alteration on a statue to allow it to move.

You cast Illusion to bring it under your control.

Through mastery of multiple schools, you give yourself more potential.

Mastery in only a few schools, and you are limited.

    -

Then you have Dark Magic, which is a little bit more advanced...

  3. It would seem the best way to balance this is to allow for more aggressive options for twho handers to counter One Handers.

    Such as-

*Two Handed attacks can Break defense.

(One swing strikes against the shield, the second comes from the other direction which prys the shield out from its blocking position, opening the target up for a critical attack)

*A Much Longer Reach. (But they get inside your minimal reach you can only attack with the hilt, lowering damage)

*Sweeping power attacks-to knock foes down

*The ability to have heavy and light versions of 2 handed weapons just as blades can be longsword>Shortsword>Dagger.

    Claymore>Longhandled sword>Longblade(Narsil-Aragorn's blade)

*By building up repetition in your swings , 2 handed should not expend as much fatigue.

    thats all iv got.

i too, am scared that 2 handed is being quite ignored an will be only there for novelty :(

  4. Hmm, well i see it as just another addition to crafting, as long as the base color choises are not drasticly influencing, but instead just subtle reminders that this is your armor, which represents you.

Perhaps it means something more. Such as allegiance.

Oblivion Guard armors were all the same model with just a different color and insignia.

    -

    So how about emblems?

Choose one for design appeal, or to show loyalty.

npcs may notice it and make comments. perhaps theyll like you more for supporting the Riverwood Shield Brothers. Or challenge you to a duel for your support to the Argonian Faction ;)

MAYBE guards can give you it as a badge, so instead of having to wear a Guard specific uniform to be recognised and have authority, the insignia can just be placed on the armor of your choosing.

  5. Ever become tired of the same Brown iron currais?

Of those black Gloves that just exentuate your hero.

Every armor we have seen so far, has had multiple variations to its look.

(Most likely due to the new smithing feature)

I see no technological complications to this, as it is entirely Cosmetic choice of apparel.

Now im not asking for yellow iron, or blue leather gauntlets,

but simply a color choice on the trim, and the bindings.(Cape  ?) to give more character to my..eh..character.
