Pickysaurus's post in Vortex won't stop looking for FNIS was marked as the answer
Settings -> Interface -> Run FNIS on Deployment.
Turn that off and Vortex won't try and start FNIS each deployment.

Pickysaurus's post in I met some problems while modding fallout4 was marked as the answer
This is not a Vortex problem so I am marking the thread as solved. Please update Fallout 4.

Pickysaurus's post in Vortex Profiles was marked as the answer
I'm fairly sure it isn't limited. I've never had more than 2 per game myself, but based on how it uses a semi-random string of characters to identify each profile you can probably have thousands before it becomes an issue.

Pickysaurus's post in VortexMM don't DL mods anymore was marked as the answer
Hi Darckdore,
This was a temporary problem with the website which should now be fixed. Can you please try again and let me know if it's still happening?

Pickysaurus's post in Extensions Updated was marked as the answer
Sounds like something went wrong when updating. Try going to %appdata%/vortex/plugins and deleting any folders you don't recognise.

Pickysaurus's post in [bug] Endorse invisible in profile / recent activity was marked as the answer
Endorsing via the API does not update your recent activity on the site at the moment. We are aware of this but it's a low priority issue so it may not get fixed for a while -
Pickysaurus's post in Vortex just got randomly removed completely from my computer was marked as the answer
Please seem my answer on a related thread: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/9449348-vortex-has-seemingly-disappeared-from-my-pc/?p=88507293&do=findComment&comment=88507293

Pickysaurus's post in Vortex has seemingly disappeared from my PC was marked as the answer
Unless you've used the custom installer, Vortex will be found at C:\Program Files\Black Tree Gaming Ltd\Vortex
It's very possible your anti-virus decided to randomly delete the EXE (seems to happen from time to time, especially with crappy AVs like Norton/McAfee). Reinstalling Vortex should fix it if the EXE is not in the that folder.

Pickysaurus's post in Vortex won't detect any games was marked as the answer
Dark Souls 3 does not appear in Vortex because it is not supported (yet!).

Pickysaurus's post in Downloads still capped after going premium was marked as the answer
Do your downloads direct from the site have the correct speed? If so it may take Vortex a few minutes (around 5) to recognise the status fully due to how things are cached -
Pickysaurus's post in I hope this is a bug.. was marked as the answer
I can say with confidence this is in no way a "feature" of Vortex (you're welcome to check the source code if you don't believe me).
There might have been some weirdness where the file wasn't properly released until you restarted your PC. Vortex is based on Electron and there were some weird problems in older version of Electron in which it wouldn't "let go" of files in some instances.
It's possible that a very specific set of circumstances on your PC made this possible. If it happens again, please report it through the app and include your Vortex log file. That way the devs can see what happened in Vortex's "brain" during the download and install attempt.

Pickysaurus's post in M&B II: Bannerlord Mod Error was marked as the answer
This is probably because the mods you're using aren't updated for the latest beta. Mount and Blade 2 is still early access so unfortunately this is going to happen several times before it's full release.

Pickysaurus's post in vortex not launching was marked as the answer
Sounds like you had a bad install

Pickysaurus's post in Blade & Sorcery - Mods can't be deployed was marked as the answer
There should be a notice about this on the Vortex dashboard under "Announcements". There's a problem with 8.4 where mods installed in Vortex don't work. We've been speaking to KospY (the developer of the game) and this will be fixed before 8.4 leaves beta.
You'll want to use v8.3 for now if you're using Vortex for your mod installation.

Pickysaurus's post in Vortex App & Multiple Monitors was marked as the answer
Tannin or Nagev might correct me, but I am pretty sure Vortex has no say in it's Window position on the desktop or the dimensions (aside from having a minimum width and height).
I do have similar problems to those you described with Discord, so I do feel it's a Windows thing.
Update: "Vortex will only move the app's location on screen if less than 25% of the window is visible in the main screen"

Pickysaurus's post in Migrate Vortex mod installation settings and files to NMM? was marked as the answer
This is not something we can help with, you'll need to ask the NMM devs.
If you're having problems with Vortex, I would ask you post a thread explaining the issue in the support forum rather than just deciding it "doesn't work". It doesn't look like you've tried to ask for help...
I'm confident that you're just misunderstanding something or there's a problem in your setup that's easy to correct.

Pickysaurus's post in Really simple request - ModPak's was marked as the answer
We are working on a system similar to Steam Collections, however "Mod Packs" in the Minecraft sense (all mods inside a single download) are not likely to ever be a thing on our site.

Pickysaurus's post in Mods don't get disabled in Dragon Age (1.3.19) was marked as the answer
Did you deploy your mods after disabling them? Your changes don't take effect until you've deployed.

Pickysaurus's post in Download Capped @ 2 MB/s was marked as the answer
Sorry to hear you're having this problem. Unless the downloads are slow only in Vortex, this isn't a Vortex problem.
Please see the troubleshooting guide here: https://help.nexusmods.com/article/92-im-having-download-issues-what-can-i-do
The guide contains information on what data we need from you to look into it and where to post it.

Pickysaurus's post in Vortex download stuck on finalizing stage was marked as the answer
I'm afraid you've not provided much information to work with, what happens when you try do delete it? Is there an error? What does it say?
Can you check if the file is actually in your download folder, and you may need to delete it there.

Pickysaurus's post in Plugin Deployed But Not Sorted - What Does The Game Do? was marked as the answer
I am not 100% sure to be honest. I _think_ it'll be added as a disabled plugin in FO4/SSE and simply not added in older games

Pickysaurus's post in Vortex Corrupt after change in ini file was marked as the answer
This error is more than likely caused by an anti-virus program taking a chunk out of Vortex (for reasons only known to itself)
I recommend installing the latest version of Vortex over the top of your current install to fix it.

Pickysaurus's post in ESL flagging with Wrye Bash being removed by Vortex was marked as the answer
@HTR: Yes, we're talking about converting them to ESP through Wyrebash
I can confirm it's an issue with how Wyrebash saves the files. So this isn't something we can fix on the Vortex side. Here's my test results, I used GitBash to get the file details before and after Wyre edits the file:
As you can see the modified time stamp gets it's decimal places reset to 0.

Sorry about this, there was a problem with the API but we should be "all systems go" again now :)

Pickysaurus's post in Flagged as "Designed for another game" was marked as the answer
If you're seeing that flag in the "Plugins" page then yes, they are not properly converted to work with Skyrim Special Edition
