  1. Source is Pete Hines' twitter http://twitter.com/#!/DCDeecon
  2. Auto-download just informed me of the new version. Changes to Skyrim are as following:
  3. Well, Dragonbones/Scales are obviously needed for crafting dragon armor if you got the perk. Roll of paper + charcoal is used in exactly 1 quest of the main story, but there will be lots lying around when the moment comes, so you don't need to store it. I'm wondering about things like "Dwemer Gyro", "Attunement Sphere", "Centurion core", "Dwarven Oil"
  4. It's hard to NOT spoil it for you even in a single sentence. It's absolutely ridiculous. You can't call that a system.
  5. I've also found the one where you have to climb up a mountain behind a mill in near whiterun. The other one I've found directs me to a treestump somewhere near a section of a river with a small island in it. Haven't figured out yet where this is.
  6. Interesting. I had to recover it from a cave with a bunch of Spriggans underneath the Thalmor Embassy.
  7. I bought one fairly early in the game but soon lost it due to my craving for shortcuts and traversing steep hills. SInce then I didn't bother buying a new one and instead just use Beastform to run long distances.
  8. I always play as a guy because I also name the character like myself. I AM THE HERO!
  9. I had Lydia, Uthgerd and Athis die on me. Useless! Brofist for choosing Aela, she is the best wife!
  10. I'm getting to know TES' story just now because I never had the nerve as a kid to play Morrowind/Oblivion. What I find most interesting, is what I've read on one of the wikis (i think it was uesp.com): >Skyrim is a province of Tamriel >Tamriel a continent on Nirn (out of several others and a bunch of islands) >Nirn is one of 9 planets of Mundus (basically the name of the solar system) Bethesda has created the framework for countless games in the TES series. I wouldn't be surprised if they decide to twist the story in a way, that the Dwemer resurface somewhere else on Nirn. I hope that some day a TES game will take place on Akavir. Dragon-Tiger people, Monkey people and Snake people sound really cool!
  11. When I saw the trailer and heard FUS-ROH-DA! for the first time, it was powerful. It made me think that the battles would be epic and I'd feel mighty. But the shouts actually sound like some stifled sound a mental retard would make. For example: FUS-ROH-DA sounds like "fus...RODAA!" Ohdaviing sound like "oh...DAWING!" I'm disappointed. What do you say?
  12. I killed Paarthurnax just like I'll kill all that other Dragon scum. I'm going to sell all my dragonbones/scales to esbern and after I finished all the quests in the game, I'll kill him and Delphine too. After that I'm going to kill every Jarl in the game.
  13. I can rotate them during the loadingscreens but not while I'm in my inventory. It made the damn claw puzzles impossible. Any suggestions?
  14. I love how the Khajiit talk. It reminds me a bit of lolcats. Feels bad when I have to kill them :(
  15. 1) Download http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3117 2) Run it and open the "Skyrim - VoicesExtra.bsa" (Skyrim>Data) 3) Extract them all into the Data folder, it should create a subfolder called "sounds" 4) That fixed it for me
  16. These are my Skyrim options. Since I disabled AA I've been playing around 25 hours without a single crash. Played 10 hours in a row yesterday = no problems. I guess that fixed it. The resolution is maxed, I just have a small monitor. View distance is all maxed. My specs: Intel i5 2500k Asus P8P67 Rev 3.0 ATI HD6950 Win 7 64bit 8GB OCZ RAM
  17. I think it's an outrage that we can only wear 1 ring FFS! I understand that we can't cake our hands in bling like some kind of medieval pimp, but why not at least have 1 per hand?
  18. No, the first part of the quest named "Retrieve the Horn of Jurgen WIndcaller" sets the marker to a cave on the far west side of the map. I wasn't there so I don't know what happens at this point in the story. Afterwards you have to go to the Burrow where you'll find the note.
  19. I found him too, recently. What's with him and the callipers?
  20. Yeah, I read the note. But I still skipped the 1st part of the quest because I didn't even visit the location that was marked for it and instead went to retrieve the note beforehand. It's just that the NPC later talks to you about a few things you (the player) can't possibly know (you would know if you did the 1st part of the quest).
  21. For everyone who currently has to "Retrieve the Horn of Jurgen Windcaller": Don't visit any Burrows (where the Word walls are). I visited the burrow that comes after this quest without knowing, so I got a FAILED mark on the quest. It didn't break the quest, but it skipped information on you. That kinda sucks, so avoid it. I'm not at home right now so I can't tell you which exact Burrow to avoid, but I'll update this post as soon as I get home. I can only tell you that it's in the marshes to the east of solitude.
  22. Maybe you chose a wrong/difficult playstyle? At first I played with Spell in left hand + Sword in right hand to deal double damage. Turned out that this wasn't the right style for me, so I switched the spell for a shield (and also skilled the block perks). Holy crap, I tell you I'm now the DRAGONBANE! RIPPER OF ASSES! That reminds me that we need re-specs!
  23. But that's EXACTLY what I want to do! Why should I start a new character just to be able to experience the full game? I want to do all quests. Right now I'm doing Thieves Guild, then Dark Brotherhood, Companions, etc.... I hope we get a mod for re-speccing by the time I'm ready for the Mage's Guild.
  24. Yes please! We need a mod that enables re-specs. No matter how it is done, but we need it. I already wasted a few perk-points. I'm 20+h in and don't want to start a new game. HUGE flaw by Bethesda! RPGs nowadays need re-speccing.
