  1. try deleting Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPrefs.ini from the my games folder in the documents folder, then use the original skyrim launcher and it will generate new versions of those two files, this might work, I think it might be because you edited the [Archive] line in the ini
  2. right-click the program and click run as Administrator, that should be the fix for the write permissions problem, as for the Mod Manager, Oblivion Mod Manager and Nexus Mod Manager are different, OBMM is what you need if you download older OMODs and Nexus Mod Manager can handle basic OMOD files.
  3. I would definitely recommend Skyrim HD 2k- http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/607/ download the Full resolution textures, The Wilds ENB, http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/21123 I can run it, it just lags my pc a lot, your pc should be able to handle it. Everything this guy has that has the word Parallax in it http://skyrim.nexusm...om/users/996477 , this mod called WATER http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/13268 and there's so many more, but these would be some of the mods on the top of my list.
  4. Look under the animations category, there are several.
  5. what kind of banner textures do you need, because I know how to make it look like cloth.
  6. Ok, so you have several mods, they are most likely loose files, and by this term I mean they are not in a BSA file. You should download "Optimizer Texture (or Texture Optimizer, I know they wrote it like Yoda)", which is available here on the Nexus, after you have downloaded it, set it to look for files in C:/ (or whatever drive letter you installed the game to) Program Files (if you have a 64-bit PC this will say x86) /steam/steamapps/common/skyrim/data/textures. Then click the button that says "Start", let it run, and this should help improve loading times because it makes the files you currently have smaller, which means that Skyrim should be able to process the files quicker after you run this. P.S. This may look like a lot of info, but it's actually quite simple, and no I'm not a computer genius, or an adult for that matter, I just learned stuff from trial and error.
  7. yes, I can, go to your steam library, right-click fallout nv, then click properties, then click the tab that says 'Local Files', and click "Verify Integrity of Game Cache'. It should say it is checking, then it will download the files it's missing. Hope this helps.
  8. I made a mod for personal use that makes arrows a lot stronger, headshots do kill, but I made the mod overpowered, so you can kill a dragon with four shots :D, I think I will re-work it so that different bows and arrows will have different strengths.
  9. It might possibly be that you may not have the Update.esm checked, because the game will crash without that checked.
  10. I can help with some of your questions, A plugin is like a follower of the Master file it comes with, The graphics improvements I use are, Real Ice, Real Ice and Snow (RIS), Skyrim 2k HD Texture pack (which is actually HD), W.A.T.E.R, and SkyUI (which requires SKSE). I have never seen any mods that can keep you from pickpocketing easily.
  11. You should at least use the Dark Brotherhood boots because they allow you to sneak w/o making noise. I also recommend that you download the Masters of Death mod. It adds better looking DB armor.
  12. I have started working on a Star Wars KotOR Neo Crusader Replacement for the Dark Brotherhood, currently I have the banners done. I need someone who can make good meshes for the armor, I want to have the helmet and armor to be two items, not one. I also want vibroblades, if someone could help with that. I can do textures, but I still need to work on the bump maps for the door. If anyone could help me with this project, I would greatly appreciate it. Just PM me here on the forums or reply to this post. Here is what I have done so far. I made the door look better, but I haven't taken a picture of it yet. I removed the skeleton, skulls(not the main one), and the dagger. http://memberfiles.freewebs.com/32/91/66239132/photos/Neo-Crusader-Stuff/2012-04-29_00001.jpg http://memberfiles.freewebs.com/32/91/66239132/photos/Neo-Crusader-Stuff/2012-04-30_00001.jpg Here are some reference images from KotOR for what the armor should look like,( though I do not want to use ported models in this mod) http://memberfiles.freewebs.com/32/91/66239132/photos/Neo-Crusader-Stuff/mandalorianneocrusaderm.jpg http://memberfiles.freewebs.com/32/91/66239132/photos/Neo-Crusader-Stuff/Mandalorian_Commander.jpg
