  1. Hi, I've been looking for someone like yourself! I am planning a near-conversion mod for Skyrim in which I will need weaponry found in Stargate SG-1. These weapons will be functional staff weapons in the mod, and require "moving parts" which indicate that the weapon is "readied" or "not readied", when I get home I will edit and upload photos to this post, but for now I will post links- Sodan staff weapon - http://images.wikia.com/stargate/images/9/9c/SodanStaffWeapon.png Ja'ffa staff weapon - (this is the same as the sodan weapon, but adds the extension to the end) http://images.wikia.com/stargate/images/e/e2/Staffweapon.jpg "zat" gun- Active http://stargate.wikia.com/wiki/File:ZatGun-Open-transparent.png "zat" gun- inactive http://stargate.wikia.com/wiki/File:ZatGun-Closed-transparent.png Any help with these models would be greatly appreciated
  2. Happy endings?........TroLoLoL j/k but I think this mod would be a fun addition. I say have two of these bars, one in windhelm and one in riften, both with separate quests to begin with, and then an overlapping quest that results in one of the owners taking over the others bar, kinda similar to the black-briar/honningbrew story, except you would be able to choose a side
  3. Yes, definitely, It would be a long quest just to find and understand what the stargate is, once the stargate is found, the stargate, the DHD, and the MALP (the earth drone) will be the most unusual things seen for a while. The first bunch of trips through the gate will be exploring type missions finding other gate addresses and unusal items with lands and objects similar to what is seen in skyrim (with a few changes of course to show a difference in worlds) then further down the quest line maybe some more hi-tech stuff will be seen, but much further into it. Of course, the new enemies (Jaf'fa and Goa'uld) will likely be seen early on after traveling through the gate the first time. I presume this will be a massive project that is both fun to build and fun to play....
  4. With these "ancient caves" would they be better as "not mapped" as in you just have to find them, or should they be mapped? (ancient caves would be where you find the Stargate dialing device (DHD) fragments and stargate addresses, and of course one would actually house the stargate), these fragments would be known as "Fragment of unknown device" until you find the ancient cave that actually houses the Stargate and find out what the stargate is, then the fragments would be known as "DHD Fragment" Then as i was saying before, once all the fragments have been collected, a new Daedra repairs the DHD, and off you go into the universe exploring new worlds and conquering new formidable enemies...
  5. So would there also be CR issues by using "Stargate" or is that fair use? And any advanced civs could be merely referenced in dialogue as far as ancient civs in skyrim to sidestep actually making modern weapons and such, the ja'ffa and goa'uld armor would have to be created, as well as a stargate looking portal (that is locked away behind a unique puzzle locked door), and one of the Earth "MALPS" (not functioing) would have to be created (with a very aged rusty look). I say there could be a stump where the DHD has been broken and fragments are scattered in new "ancient caves" throughout skyrim. Once the player has collected all fragments of the "unknown device" and returned to the stargate, a new Daedra appears and tells the player where to place the pieces and then "repairs" them to create a functioning DHD for the stargate. Also as the player is searching for these fragments, a few of the "ancient caves" would have stargate addresses (could be in the same vein as the words of power, where the player walks up to a wall and learns the address) This would give the first address to the new world, and where our player would first encounter the Ja'ffa...,, The story just builds from there with endless trips through the stargate, maybe eventually encountering the Earthling SG-1 group,
  6. LoL, yes, and I loved the ideas! I really hope I know what im doing when the CK comes out, cus i am going to go with this pretty hard, the only problem is, i have never created a mod, or wrote a single line of code  Ill give it my best shot though, came here hoping others would take the idea and run with it, but we'll see with story starters like yours, a Stargate mod for skyrim sounds pretty feasible!
  7. Sounds soooo cool, unfortunately I have no modding exp, so I couldn't tell you if this would be hard to do or not, but I would have soooo much fun with these mods!!
  8. That mask would be sooooo OP, but it would be so cool to have it!!!! :)
  9. I mean the ja'ffa carry staff weapons, the goa'uld use wards and hand spells, most of the planets visited in stargate are similar to those in the elder scrolls series.... I can really see this as a possibility as Bethesda stated that the creation kit is "identical" to what the devs used to make skyrim, idk im very new to this sort of thing, let me know what you guys think
  10. After the creation kit is released, would it be possible to do a Stargate mod? I mean they already have the means I believe, like with those "Daedra orbs" idk what they're called, but I've gotten the sanguine rise and the wabbajack from places like this. Skyrim could be a planet in the gate system, and be found by SG-1 at some point, quests could be endless, fighting off new goa'uld enemies after learning from SG1 that skyrim is on one of billions of planets I mean idk how difficult a mod like this would be, but can it even be done?
  11. I see what your saying, it's more about the "principle" of it, using a carriage to get somewhere is more "RPG realistic" than just simply click and your there. Not much of a difference to me, but hey, to each his own. But daaaaaaaaamn wouldn't it be sweet to do a STARGATE mod for skyrim!!! With creation kit, is it possible?
  12. Or something (Meth Guild) (Drug Guild) idk, I'm new to PC gaming so idk if it's possible, but it would be crazy to have a breaking bad guild, where you can make blue meth. Give it to ppl, and then have those ppl grow an "addiction" to your "product". Now ppl will come to you for "product" and give you lots of gold! LoL All seriousness, real request, ......if it can't be done.....well at least I asked!
