  1. I like alchemy a lot but the seeming rarity of ingredients and not knowing where to find them makes it difficult to use in a practical way. Let's I want to make a certain potion, it just seems like luck as to where to find things, even with ingredients that are fairly common for basic poisons, such as deathbell and nightshade, I am still not sure where to find most of them, sure, I make use of alchemy and potion shops but I think there is greater abundance in the wilderness. I also realise that alchemy ingredients are a limited resource but I would still like to intentionally search out things for stamina, invisibility, health, paralysis and poisons in an intentional way. Has anyone made an ingredient region guide? If not, I might go about and do so in a word file and then post it up on Nexus for the benefit of everyone. Cheers
  2. I reckon the sun should set at about 5 pm in Skyrim, not 7 pm as is custom, because of its Northern location, so I am requesting a mod that could do this...
  3. Does anyone know of a way to help? will there be a patch?
  4. I see the codes for once a day powers but not for permanent powers, are there any?
  5. Much more time for Skyrim, have to look on the bright side of things, right?
  6. I really need to up my skill there, so where can I find an enchantment trainer?
  7. I was once sentenced to mine work, which I did and then I was free but in Dawnstar I am just sitting in prison doing nothing. How can I serve out my sentence there or is this a bug? I have tried to wait and such but nothing happens, what do I do? I want to lose their hostility so serving my sentence is what I want to do. Cheers
  8. Usually, yes, but it is not really a full list as I can see?
  9. CQC is kind of suicide: my orc 2H Battle Axe Beserker engaged in hit and run tactics, the running 2H perk for double damage crit was very helpful but it did take a while, you can outsprint the Giant and dodge his attacks, if melee like I was you just have to dodge the blows swing your battle axe (bleeding damage perk helps) and you will fell him eventually.
  10. I love alchemy but it's tough to use in the game, tedious.
  11. I am going to start a build like that too, doing different ones.
  12. What I found to be a very good mage counter is taking the Atraunoch birth sign for a pure warrior build; I don's use magic on my Orc Warrior BUT you absorb 50% of all spells cast at you, very handy.

  14. I second this, I want bound daggers as well.
  15. Hey, some things I have to done to improve the vampire experience, increase your running speed to make you faster, use the jump higher mod, etc....little things make it better, not much but still...
  16. Also, make the map available as well when you are transformed, what is the point of running fast on all fours when you cannot see where you are going?
  17. don't think there is anything like daedric ore TBH... if im not mistaken you need daedra hearts. ore something else daedric, but no such thing as daedric ore. GL Where on earth can I get Daedric hearts? Seems complicated? Where can I smelt down things from ore?
  18. Or does it work some other way? In theory you would need to invest some energy into magika to cast certain spells, right?
  19. Thing is, I still haven't gotten any shouts yet so...that's a problem...,)
  20. I've been reading lots of threads about pure builds and I have experimented around with several so I thought I'd start and official discussion on them. In my brief experience pure builds don't work as well as mixed builds for several reasons, but let's look at the three types, Rogue/Warrior/Mage. Rogue (easiest in my opinion) Obligatory Skills: Alchemy, Sneak, Archery, Onehanded Helpful Skills: Light Armour, Pickpocket, Lockpicking Advantages- Sneaking at higher levels makes you very hard to detect, with the right bonuses from sneak x6 onehanded+15x dagger damage+ dark brotherhood gloves x2 backstab you are looking at some serious damage potential and with high sneak and appropriate gear you can one shot most opponents with a single dagger swipe or dual daggers for a x60 damage bonus. When archery is properly maxed out it can be very effective though not as much as daggers but bows have the advantage of distance making you harder for enemies to detect. Disadvantages- With this build you are relying on stealth kills 90% of the time, whilst this is definitely possible with high enough sneak, sometimes you have to face enemies and they will quickly tear through your light armour and you have almost no CC abilities, meaning for such encounters you are dead. Mage (2nd esiest) Obligatory Skills: Alteration, Conjuration, Destruction, Restoration Helpful Skills: Illusion, Enchanting, Onehanded, Archery (for conjured weapons) Advantages- with the right choice of race, imo. either Altmer (1st) or Breton (2nd) you will have the best prerequisites for a magic user, destruction magic can be very damaging plus if you get the stagger perk you can use destruction for CC in addition to damage, destruction furthermore allows for damage to mutiple targets. Result is overall probably the best offensive magic school. Restoration has many defensive advantages, ward for example plus the invaluable healing factor involved to keep you alive, and the passive magika regen boost so restoration is an overall win. Conjuration is the best CC because enemies will fight your summoned creatured, at higher levels you can have multiple summoned zombies and ceatures so overall very useful. Alteration gives you those armour spells as well as the passive absorb magika, which is very useful. Disadvantages: No armour=quick death, giving your magika more boost than health can also lead to a quick death and because stone flesh and ward spells cost magika, you lose your offensive capacity and unless you cheat a lot, you WILL run out of magika and be forced into run and gun tactics and the meter regnerates, in such cases archers will quickly pick you off as well as mages and if a melee enemy gets too close to you forget it as well. Very powerful for a short while and afterwards running away a lot. Warrior (most difficult) Obligatory Skills: Twohanded OR Onehanded+Block, Heavy Armour, Smithing Helpful Skills: Alchemy (yes, because alchemy does not cost magika allowing you to solely level up stamina and health and you get health potions, resist potions and poisions for your weapons out of it) Advantages-a pure melee fighter has heavy armour, a huge battle axe that can stagger and decimate opponents who come close, certainly a quick death for many basic enemies. He can take punishment better than the others due to heav armour and higher health. In a way they look the coolest as well ;). Disadvantages- If all you have is a big axe or sword and shield, you have to close the distance with enemies, which can be tough with archers and even harder with nimble mages, all the while they are pelting you with ice spike til you drop dead. A pure melee warrior relies on CQC and that is not alway a given and even in such cases where you are just in CQC, if you have multiple opponents you might have a problem. The warrior also has ZERO CC ability, certainly nothing on par with a mage but at least a rogue can skulk back into the darkness, a warrior fights to the death and it can happen quite often. By far the hardest pure build because of a lack of healing and sneak. That would be my first overview but in terms of effectiveness mixed builds are factually just BETTER. A rogue with advanced illusion can CC very well likewise if he has conjuration skills. A melee warrior with destruction and restoration can take and give out punishment much better than a pure warrior and can also has CC+ranged damage, etc. Still I like the idea of pure builds and I am currently running an Orc twohanded meleer but as an example I was up in the north and got my butt kicked by a vampire with a war axe, destruction and conjuration magic. By the time I ran up to her I lost half my health and she finished me off with her war axe. Hopefully we can have a good discussion.
  21. Also, sneak is very easy and quick to level up to be honest...compared to say alchemy.
