  1. A Robobrain seems like a very creepy solution. I can see this making a lot more sense as an option if you (SPOILER) choose the Institute and become Director. You have a synth created with their appearance and their memories transferred into the synth body the Curie way. Or their personality replicated as closely as possible, because while her body might still be frozen, she did get shot so I'm not entirely sure it'd work the same way as being alive and frozen. I wouldn't use it for my character at all, but it'd be a nice touch and seems fitting for a character that chose to side with Shaun. It's the type of character that wants to reunite their family more than anything, so it doesn't seem like too much of a stretch to go from child synth Shaun to synth spouse. A nice story of failing to move on and letting go and instead doing morally questionable things to keep things from changing.
  2. My first choice was SSEx, but the mod seemed largely abandoned at the time so I instead went for Homemaker. Either of those two offers more than enough to not have to use them both. I installed Alternate Settlements some time ago and while it's far from a bad mod, the style just wasn't my thing. The textures just don't feel like they belong anywhere. I tried out every single floor or wall for a personal home in Sanctuary, but I ended up removing them all. Too clean and don't feel like Fallout. The snappable rugs and wallpapers on the other hand are a lot more interesting to me and I wish the creator would release those as a seperate mod. Glad I bumped into this topic, didn't realise SSEx is being worked on again. Might consider switching out Homemaker for that. I'll have to look up if replacing Homemaker will make the objects I placed down disappear.
  3. You'll probably have to wait for the GECK to be released for something as extensive as this. Until then, you'll have to just put his beret on a different companion and pretend really hard that it's Boone.
  4. I recently released my first standalone retexture and while I'm quite pleased with the result, I seem to be having issues coming up with new projects to work on. While asking myself what I'd like to see different, the main issue I could come up with was diversity in enemies. I greatly appreciated things like the Forged and Rust Devils providing us with some much needed diversity in the otherwise extremely generic raiders. The foundations have even been laid by Bethesda themselves by providing us with some interesting entries in raider terminals that give some raider outfits their own identity and show them being aware of other gangs and having their own rivalries. I'm looking for suggestions now for ways I can diversify the main humanoid enemies, like raiders, Gunners and Super Mutants. I feel that Gunners themselves should remain pretty uniform due to their military-style organisation, but their clothing is a great foundation to create other gangs like them. I'm looking for lore-friendly ideas that fit into Fallout and feel unique, so I'm not going to be working on stuff from other universes that you want to put into Fallout. Once the GECK is released, I'll be looking for other mod creators to team up with to create complete overhauls like the amazing Raider Overhaul. Canon examples that could realistically have made their way to the Commonwealth are probably my favourite options, but let your creative juices flow!
