  1. My saves are over 15mb and still load, ofc, using the 2 cores affinity thingy.
  2. Sound fix??? the 16bit 441100 thingy???
  3. Load an early save won't bring the files back ....XD
  4. That's what really grinds my gears. I never had a single crash with Oblivion (none that I can remember of). Skyrim really needs a big patch overhaul to solve these oddities.
  5. This game is really messed up. Like 80% or plus of all players have CTDs.....or other weird stuff going on.....besides the core affinity, most times i manage to get past crash areas running in windowed mode with a low resolution. Hail Skyrim, mother of all crashes and oddities!!
  6. Yes, just extract the files as in the given example: Installation ========== 1. Extract the files "UNP Simply Clothes.esp" and "UNP Simply Clothes.bsa" to Skyrim\Data\ folder. 2. Start Skyrim Launcher, click 'Data Files', place a checkmark beside the "UNP Simply Clothes.esp". 3. Enjoy!
  7. Funny as hell, I remember playing Oblivion without a single crash!!! What about that! Nevetheless, so you know, I started playing the Skyrim with all cores from my quad core i7 920 enabled. Now I can only run the game with 2 cores!!! Not that the others don't work. All other games I have work perfectly with all cores enabled. BF3, Batman, Assassin's etc FREAKYYYYY!!!!!
  8. Try to enter in windowed mode. I had a similar problem and couldn't even load Whiterun saves. It wouldn't crash but it would keep loading forever....!!! Try this if you are using a quad core, if not, disregard this method. I came across a fix for my game, I have a quad core and game was using all cores. now I have the game using only 2 cores, it loads any save 98% of times, and can finally enter and walk around Whiterun. It hasn't been always like this, my first 2-3 months of skyrim were played with all cores enabled. I've played my last 3 hours of Skyrim without a single crash. There's 2 ways to set core afiinity. 1st - Launch Skyrim via launcher or exe (doesn't matter which), when on main screen ( load, start etc) Ctr-Alt-Del -» Task Manager -- » and go to processes. Once there choose TESV.exe and right-click. Scroll down and you will see AFFINITY, click it and you will see all cores checked. Uncheck all of them and check core 0 and 2 only. Close Task Manager and load your savegame. This little trick does a miracle for my savefiles and loading screens and also being able to enter Whiterun as many times as I wish or need to. 2nd - Add this line to your exe target path before the "C..... like this: C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /c start "TESV.exe" /affinity 5 "C:\Program Files (x86).....
  9. OMG, another Skyrim oddity!!!!
  10. I already had craashes before the cloaks, unofficial patch etc....so maybe those aren't causing them...maybe.
  11. Look, when you right click your skyrim icon and properties it show 2 paths right? In the TARGET path (system 32) I added that line before the regular path that you have there. Another way is to start game and then ctrl-alt-del and right click TESV.exe and set affinity to cores 0 and 1
  12. Had no duplicate files there but Skyrim.esm was missing....did it matter??? Added it anyway.
  13. Try adding this to you exe target path if you have a quad core. If not, disregard this. hope it helps. C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /c start "TESV.exe" /affinity 5 "C:\Program Files... This is the only way I can load saves and play for hours CTD free.....until the random CTd happens....I used to play with all cores enabled but since a month ago I started to have this loading screen issue!!
  14. My game was also fine until I started to have issues loading saves..... tried everything I could until I added this to my game exe target path: C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /c start "TESV.exe" /affinity 5 "C:\Program Files... I have a quad core and found out by playing for hours and loading saves that playing the game with only 2 cores enabled, does wonders for my game. If you have a quad core give this a try. Until 1 month ago I used to play with all cores enabled, since the issues started it only works with the 2 cores trick. Couldn't load Whiterun saves, not even exiting Breezehome, now it loads under 3 seconds!!!

  16. OMG, UFOs in Skyrim.....Hail Skyrim, mother of all crashes and weird issues.
  17. If you have a quad core, try playing with only 2 cores enabled. It makes my saves load and play for hours crash free, until ofc, the random CTD happens, Hail Skyrim, mother of all crashes!!!! This is how I do it: C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /c start "TESV.exe" /affinity 5 "C:\Program Files... Add this to the game path target, if it givers an error, try the " key, sometimes it changes in copy paste.
  18. Mods that change a lot of textures (houses, new buildings etc) tend to mess up the meshes. I also hav a couple of dungeons with walls anf floors missing.....also happened in the Blue Palace. After some loads and entering the palace in windowed mode fixed the palace for me. As to the dungeons, never set foot on them again....so far....
  19. This makes my game run almost problem free....... I added this to my target path to the game exe: C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /c start "TESV.exe" /affinity 5 "C:\Program Files... Loading and playing with 2 cores enabled only (on quad cores) makes my saves load 98% of the time and play for 3-4 hours crash free.
  20. Same happened to me after a coulle of months or so after starting to play Skyrim. My i7 920 always ran Skyrim with all cores.....now I can only make it work with 2 cores, and load save files like that. Backup your icon target path and add this before the "C...... thing C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /c start "TESV.exe" /affinity 5 "C:\Program Files...... It will make your CPU use only core 0 and 2 to load and run Skyrim, give it a try. It's the olny way it works for me! I was being unabled to load games in Whiterun!!! Also avoid deleting mods because it affects savegames.
  21. Try a lower resolution, you are using a high res for your specs.
  22. In your quad core, try to set core affinity to core 0 and 2 and then try to load and play. This 2 cores only thingy is the only trick that makes my Skyrim load Whiterun saves and others without the eternal load game screen. It sounds stupid but it works wonders for me. Until starting to have random and stupid CTDs I used to play with all cores enabled. I added this shortcut to my target path: C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /c start "TESV.exe" /affinity 5 "... ( what follows is the regular game exe path - you will find it on your target path). Affinity set to 5 means that only cores 0 and 2 are enabled to run Skyrim. So, for me, all cores mean no Skyrim and loads....and 2 cores mean fun and playable game and loads in 2-3 seconds!!! Also it doesn't crash as many times as before, I can play for 3-4 for hours with only a single CTD or none....also don't delete mods a lot or keep changing them...it will affect saves.
