Lawl, almost all the meshes are gone.....freaky looking issue! I had a similar issue on Blue Palace, when I entered it some floor and walls were missing....same as in a couple of dungeons. It was gone after entering in windowed mode. Skyrim is a CPU/VGA mistery.

Try to run it in windowed mode to see if it gets past that area, tried it a couple of times on dumb crash areas and it worked. Also, if you have a quad core, try to set core affinity to core 0 and 2 and then try to load and play. This 2 cores only thingy is the only trick that makes my Skyrim load Whiterun saves and others without the eternal load game screen.

Lol, exactly my same problem, until 3 days ago my game never froze, not even once.....now, it freezes every time I'm in Whiterun!!!!!! Ofc I still have the miserable CTDs as silly as usual......damn game is simply unplayable!!!

Doesn't work for me neither, have 4 but 1 just vanished...now I dismissed the remaining 3 but none will return to their origin...I'm on The Asteria boat and have 3 NPCs there just waiting for me!!! Any solution to this??' Setting followers to 0 via console doesn't work neither....

The loading is really fast which is a plus. Tags in search box would also be nice.
