My gut feeling is that the issue lies with the list the creatures are in. Before giving up on the character, I'd suggest going to an interior cell and 'waiting' for multiple days. With the mods off, perhaps a re-spawn cycle will improve things.

Do you have any mods that influence creature behavior? if so, try re-enabaling them. Try to put them in a different order and see if that changes anything. However, I would suggest the very first thing to do would be to start a new game with the mods disabled, and verify that creature behavior is what you expect.

So to clarify, you can add a custom name, but it can only be one string of characters? You could make it 'Abcdefghijklmnop', but not 'Abcd efgh ijklmnop'. Do I have that right? I think I do. Silly question: if you create a Word document, does your spacebar work when you type in that Word doc? if you can do that, my first suggestion would be to un-assign your spacebar in your 'Controls', and try again. I have had conflicts with assigned functions that effectively disable a peripheral.

I doubt these beings would care a whit for what they'd see as temporary strife between what they consider little better than insects. Just like I'll tolerate a spider if it eats the flies on my deck. Talk is cheap and whatever she says about blah blah anything is underscored by her 'if not you, then another' speech. She's interested in her worldly influence and she'll suffer you if it gets her what she wants.

Having done 3rd party add-ons for simulations in which I made every aspect and personally spent thousands of hours over several years creating polishing testing and checking, I can say that I too have found errors in my own work later on. And I have said to myself, "how the ^$%$ did I miss that?"

Want to know something weird? I just had the exact same problem. Been running SKSE for over a year. Never any problems. Then the same application error you report, just now. But in my case, the program would never ask me to log into Steam. It would just CTD. I too went to my Steam install and ran the regular .exe. It worked. Then I made a new shortcut for SKSE. It worked. Then I put my original SKSE icon back on my desktop. And it worked. I was sure I'd have to chase down a dll. I had a very rare CTD just now after loading a save, but that has happened to me once in a blue moon prior to this. Very odd.

When playing the Dawnguard questline, and I have to seek out the Moth Priest, I am sent to Dragon Bridge to ask about him. Now, by far the most common way to Dragon Bridge is to approach it from the South by Travelling North over the actual Dragon Bridge. Sure, you could fast travel to Solitude and walk South-west but that's not the usual thing. So I ask about the Moth Priest and sure, he was just here. Left a while ago. I might catch him if I hurry. Yes. Except I just passed by that spot and...he wasn't there. No Moth Priest. No carriage. No vampires, no fight. And just now I traveled up the same road - going North- he'd be going down - going South- and I didn't see him. But sure, I'll look again. Oh hey, there's the wrecked carriage. In the spot I just walked past five minutes ago. This seems such an obvious thing that would have needed polishing. I can overlook a lot of things in the game but this one bugs me a bunch. I feel certain that a more plausible location could have been easily used.

I have investigated, and you are correct. :geek: I completely agree about Belethor. I'll throw Anuriel into the mix. She's obviously using her position and rank to further her own nefarious interests. If you don't believe me, sneak into her room and read through her letters, she's in the same faction with Maven, no doubt. I would say Hogni Red-Arm, but... Edit to add: How could I forget Ysolda? That harlot has a hand in the drug trade in Skyrim. She might even be a main player. My post was rhetorical. This is the spoilers section; not the hypothesis section. Our guesswork is not a spoiler.

Had this same basic issue with quest-related NPCs: I need to talk to them and their houses are locked. Even with console commands to enter the house I am told I am trespassing. Sometimes- that is only sometimes- waiting a day or five has solved the issue. You may also try staying until they call the guard, submit to the guard, pay the fine, and then see if you can enter.

I think the best way to consider this issue is that the Vigilants of Stendar don't care what D&D clerics and monks and paladins do. if you want a logical reason re: the block percentage buff from the amulet, well, you're not an actual Vigilant. The amulet of Stendar grants you that bonus. The Vigilants enjoy a different advantage maybe. +5 Piety, or an extra 20% to their Pray to Stendar While You Can ability. In any case, the amulet does that for you and maybe your followers. Maybe that's Stendar saying "hey thanks non-Vigilant, for wearing my device. Here's a lil something, you know, for the effort.". Meanwhile an actual Vigilant gets a +10 to his Tight Pants buff.

Talented artist. I had a friend who worked in many mediums, and when he was in his early 30s, he gave away quite a bit of his work that he wishes he had back now.

I think that's going to come with the territory. Maybe a custom race with the facial features of X race and the attributes of Y race is what you need.

Never had it like that but I have had it on loading a save. Usually, ALT-TABbing out and then clicking on the taskbar icon for Skyrim fixes it. But not always.

I actually kinda like that. I always felt that every building wouldn't look run-down or neglected.

I'd suggest pursuing the top rated mods for ENBs in the nexus downloads. The mods I use wouldn't help you; one of the things I like obout TES is that each game is different from the last.

Advance the quest with the console. Games can get wonky. With vanilla Skyrim before I added any mods, I had a character I had to scrap. Every time I went to Halted Stream camp, the game crashed.
