Agreed on buying a laptop solely for gaming not a good idea. Less upgrade potential and they run hot. That being said, I haven't owned a desktop in 15 years just because I require mobility.

thanks for the reply. I am uncertain about the raider banner issue, sorry

I am on my first Nuka World play through. Is it always the same faction that turns against you, or is it random or set by previous actions by the player?
-
where in the world did you come up with that? Africans have sadly been slaves to almost everyone including other Africans for thousands of years. their own families sold them into slavery. if colonists wanted slaves, they had many natives at their disposal. there was no justification needed for owning slaves. it was tragically accepted practice in Europe, Asia, and Africa before anyone knew about America.

I console deleted my way though the fight, what a mess..............

Nuka World "Let's Play" already up on Youtube

I d/l them. I am curious to see if I can play it with v 1.6.9. I am betting I can't. -
http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/1762/? just a mod I found on Nexus I like it so I can see where the load is occurring

http://i.imgur.com/cwcQGFx.jpg my stats on my last play. I only max fps in load screens
-
I have similar experiences. I am on 1.6.9. I have bought Nuka World so I may be forced to update. My average fps now is 35-40, before the 1.7. update and reset I was running 55-60 fps (capped at 62 fps by Nvidia Inspector)
-
I still get random drops and now am getting ctd's that I never had before. I am thinking at this point there is a mod conflict somewhere. I am using 45 plugins which should not be a load for my system.
-
even after going through all the folders and files related to FO4 cleaned with fo4edit, etc I am still getting 35-45 fps today I entered Pickman Gallery tunnel and it dropped to 1 fps.............
-
I am using Nvidia drivers v.3.32 I think it is on FO4 v. 1.6.9. I also am getting fps drops after the last update. The problem seems widespread. Even though I removed and cleaned all 1.7 files I could find, I must have missed some.

My MSI is the first Intel/Nvidia setup I have owned. I was always an AMD guy. I agree v-ram/ram use is a problem. I have jacked with my settings but F4 loads it up. No problems with other Beth games. I am only running 48 plugins. I will get the fps thing figured out or I will do a complete re-install.

Stability has been outstanding for me in FO4. The only crashes I got was from dirty mods and when 1.7.9 debuted. That's when my fps woes began. Nvidia Inspector has been the most help so far for me. I don't recall what all I modified without looking at it, but I am up to 30-50 fps now. Still, I was at a steady 60 fps from the first install to 1.6.9. That's why I know my problems began at that point. I am going to wait until Nuka World is added, then decide what I need to do. I am thinking it's not going to run on 1.6.9. and it will kill some of my current mods. I have Far Harbor and Automatron dlc now.
-
I tried Bilago's exe and other settings, no improvement for me so I must have other issues. I must have missed something that was installed with the 1.7 update, that's when my fps drop began. I hate to do a clean install, but playing at 30 fps is no fun, either.
-
I don't have workshop, .ba2 files were corrected along with 1.6.9 exe's and dll's. Not using f4se has made no improvement.
-
I'm like Jimmy, I first noticed the lag when I entered the North church, fps dropped to 3! I was like wtf? I disabled my most recently added mods, I had 48 plugins at that point. I got back up to 25-30 fps but I have run at 60 fps since the game came out. I only get 60 fps on load screens now. I jacked with the ini a bit, the usual changes everyone makes, no help. Nvidia Inspector helped some, triple buffer, speed limiter, vsync off... I went back to 1.6.9 before this started just a few days ago so I can't blame it on 1.7. Next I am going to bypass f4se to launch and see what effect, if any, that has. I am puzzled by this sudden hit in fps.
-
just go back to 1.6.9 1.7 is a mess, wait until after the nuka world dlc maybe they can get it sorted
-
1.7 is a disaster for mods, it doesn't play nice with plugins. I am staying with 1.6.9 until bugthesda gets it ironed out
-
I thought all vanilla companions were essential, yet Swan killed Curie in my game tonight. She was still in robot form.
-
I went back to 1.6.9 until the new update is stable. I disable my wi-fi before starting the game to stop Steam from updating.

Ghoul Problem at Somerville Place Glitch- Quest not continuable
Timmiii replied to ZacInual's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
All I ever see them labeled is "settler" -
Fallout 4 is just extra buggy, worse than F3 or Skyrim. FNV is the least glitchy, Obsidian did a good job with it. I would have waited a year on F4 and got it for a bargain had I known it was like it is.

ah, good foresight on your part. I have never seen a name as part of the id for an npc that did not have an in game name, so I was curious. Thanks for the reply.
