  1. Don't be sorry. Your English is better than most who speak/type it natively !
  2. The mini-gallery thing sounds cool, Dark0ne. I understand the story-tellers POV on this 'issue', but really I care more about the site performance than fancy image-share. Don't get me wrong, love love love the image layouts... but I'm thinking ahead and believe whatever trimmings are necessary by the admins will be for the better. Now, if only we could have 'previous' and 'next' buttons for the image share, so we don't have to back up and find our spot when we just want to wonder through all the recent image uploads.
  3. Oh wow, I really like this ! Excellent improvement to the sites !!! :D
  4. EDIT: Title should be Collapse/Expand for Hidden Comments and Others Currently, the report feature works just fine for harmful comments left on a mod's comment thread. The admin team is usually quick about following through with requests. No complaints whatsoever. But I've been thinking about a way to improve this feature, for both parties (the reporter and the reported). Perhaps instead of the reported comment becoming immediately overwritten with the 'currently hidden' (forgot the sentence, sorry) message, instead the post would collapse. It would stay collapsed until the admin team made the decision to agree with the reporter's request. But before the admin team made their decision, any other user (including the mod author) could 'expand/show' the comment to see just what the reported post was all about. Furthermore, if the admin team does indeed agree upon the reporter's request, the post could be removed entirely (rather than updating with the 'team has agreed' message). I suppose, obviously, some sort of expand/collapse or show/hide button would be necessary  To further make use of such a button, even if a comment isn't harmful - but utterly useless or irrelevant (I believe there are more of these types than the harmful ones) - the mod author could still decide to hide/collapse the comment without actually reporting it. This would be useful for mod authors who'd like to de-clutter their mod's comment thread from all the irrelevant posts. I think most of us know what types of irrelevant posts get made, so there really isn't a need for examples. This show/hide feature would also cut down on scrolling a bit, too, for both author and user. What do you think about this ?
  5. In response to post #7508175. This is still too funny. There is nothing wrong with reporting bugs. Its when people b&@*$ like little ponies thinking they deserve gold plated cookies yet feel they've just got their ass handed to them (because they just HAD to update, they just HAD to - by the imaginary evil force behind the Nexus) when I start to laugh. If there is one thing I've learned since using the Nexus Mod Manager - its to wait it out a bit.Let's not forget - Its all a voluntary act on the users part. No one forced these complainers to use the software. They made a choice.End discussion.
  6. In response to post #7507594. You roll it back ! *continues eating burrito, walking backward into the shadows*
  7. In response to post #7507091. #7507150, #7507184, #7507191, #7507481 are all replies on the same post. Always get a laugh from people who complain about freeware.
  8. For a long time, I've wanted to use Dimon's original normal map for the body along with Navetsea's diffuse map. However, when I try doing this... I get a sort of mismatch with placement. At certain angles, it looks like the body has 'layers' or something. I'm sure it has something to do with placement. It's especially noticeable around the navel. Is there a mod out there that tries to merge Dimon's original normals with Navetsea's diffuse maps ? I've seen the modular installer, and a few others - but none seem to address what I'm referring to. Any help is appreciated.
  9. If its just the tint, why not use expired's race menu mod ? That has countless options for anything tint-able (including skin).
  10. Damn it, Soolie. Quit teasing and GIVE ME YOUR MOD !!! This is going to be the 'end all' for me. I tried real hard to do something similar about a month ago. Got as far as changing all the snow to sand, rid the mountains of that 'snow' (which is more like white paint), added moss to rocks, etc etc etc. Then you started flirting with the masses by uploading these gorgeous screens to the image share. Damn you, I say. :D GIVE IT TO ME !!!!!!
  11. Wow ! I hope you DO get this sorted (pun intended). Sounds like a very cool mod :D
  12. I think it would be fantastic if someone created a mod just like Automatic Variants (and its easy install/customization) but instead of being for textures - it'd be for idle animations. You wouldn't be stuck with one type of standing idle, weapon drawn idle, etc. You could download a bunch and have the Automatic Variants magic take care of the rest ! I'm sure its pretty difficult to do, though. Probably why it hasn't been uploaded. Still, maybe the right person will read this and decide to take up on it :D
  13. That exists already. Check Anano's profile. The mod's labeled with something like "BU" have it so the more damage, the less and more torn your apparel becomes. However, the style of the mod's attire is not very vanilla (at all). Still, the scripting/actions are in place and he/she is very generous with his/her work :D Perhaps contacting an experienced mod author (like hothtrooper or similar) with your idea and being able to utilize (or alter) the existing scripts from Anano's uploads would give you the results ?
  14. Not a bad idea. Hell, the Fallout series always had dismemberment for the limbs - you just died because of it :D It would be very time consuming, though, because each body mesh and all applicable armor/clothing would need to add those dismemberments. The availability of partitions is already there, in both the CK and Nifskope, but you'd have to implement them to the actual mesh files. Still, the idea is very cool. I think it would just be cool, though if there was more dismemberment all together in Skyrim. It's silly how you can ONLY lose your head - and not an arm or leg. Even if the result was death....
  15. Hey, I think the new look is pretty cool :D Nice job, guys !
  16. I understand the difference. So, then the unique download number is the total of downloads across all users and all versions of a mod ? Still, I think it would be nice to add a feature for 'endorsement per version'. Wouldn't this balance out the low ratio ? Regardless, I have next to no complaints about anything on this site. Save for a request - we need 'next' and 'previous' buttons that we can click for the image section. Example: you click on a user image from an image share page, view it, then click a next or previous button to move to the next image (that was uploaded). This would be nice, rather than having to use browser navigation and then find your place on the image share page. And this talk about donations for the site itself. I agree, completely. I've gone Premium twice now (a per month fee). I will do it again. And again. I think (though could be wrong, usually am !) that it is better for the site to pay on and off, than one lump sum. :D
  17. I'm sorry, but just not feeling the new endorsement idea. Unless I'm a complete idiot - the reason for the low download to endorsement ratio is because of UPDATES to mods. Each time you update your mod, a new download number is tacked on to the total (is it not ?). What SHOULD be done for the endorsement system is allowing users to add additional endorsements per version. So if they loved the v1, endorsed it, came back a few weeks later and noticed a v2 and liked it even more than before than can tack on another endorsement. Can't tell you how many comments I've read that say something like "Love the update so much, wish I could endorse this mod twice !". How hard would it be, really, to implement endorsement per mod version ?
  18. Thanks a bunch ! This will help greatly for both authors and users.
  19. EDIT: Fixed it ! :) Well, actually Nightasy fixed it. Not sure what went wrong. He thinks it had something to do with the biped slot and the game only utilizing certain bones ? Dunno, for sure... but the feathers are working as a circlet replacer !!! :)
  20. Long story short (well, as short as possible)... I took the feathers from the forsworn staff and wanted to make them a circlet replacer. So I followed the steps for importing/skinning/exporting using 3ds Max 2012. I've done this many times before, but for some unknown reason - the skinning doesn't follow in-game. They just float in mid-air behind or to the side of the character head. In the picture, this is how the mesh lines up when viewed in Nifskope. I understand WHY this is happening (I think). It is because the skin modifier didn't export properly ? Dunno, but before I export from 3ds Max - I check my weights by loading a female run animation. This tells me the mesh is doing its thing correctly. And when I view the skin modifier envelope - everything is red hot, as it should be - all weighted to NPC Head bone. I have contacted 2 experts on the matter. I'm not necessarily looking for someone to mod my game for me, just would like to see if someone has success with it and also HOW they did it different from my process. And also I'd like to review the working file for comparison of my broken one. I've been skinning the feathers to either a helmet or head mesh. Both work fine in 3ds as far as weighting the feathers accordingly. And yes, I've checked my import export settings/checkboxes against 3 different recommended sources - so we're good there (I think). Also, I've just been using my test mesh as a replacer for circlets - so be sure to update the exported nif's biped slot to 42. But you already knew that ! :) http://www.mediafire.com/?8qxxaz6trbb8jpr http://static.skyrim.nexusmods.com/images/3575696-1356828705.jpg The picture shows Dandelion wearing my test mesh. It lines up with the head just fine ONLY because I have now replaced the female idle animation with the vanilla "staticpose" animation. I did this animation replacement for my own sanity as I desperately want to see these feathers turn out right and can't stand watching them lag behind my character when she moves. Argh !!!
  21. I think it would be great if there were 'previous' and 'next' buttons when viewing an image through the image share section, rather than having to use the browser and then finding your place and selecting the next image thumbnail... only to do it all over again (and again) until one has caught up with where they left off from a previous visit. It just seems like a relaxing thing to be able to do, after you've selected an image to view from the thumbnails. Would make endorsing and such a lot easier, too, IMO. Just a suggestion, but I think a good one :)
  22. And thank you for accepting :)
  23. Mine are still off, too. Its as if the unique downloads number before the crash are now the non-unique downloads number. But... then where does the 'new' unique downloads number come from ? *scratches head* Hope it gets fixed :)
