I just want people to know this isn't a pay service or anything its all free and the members all contribute their part to helping each other out. All members come from all walks of writing styles. Fantasy, sci-fi, political, genre related stuff, some want to become authors, others just want to get a better grade in school or make fanfiction. I just thought for those modders out there that love making story-driven mods or characters they might appreciate having a place to brainstorm and talk with others.

Other than having resources available for people to look at to better their writing. We are trying to get enough participants to do feedback and critique sessions with. Essentially we want to focus on helping everyone work on their quality. I do have a folder where people can advertise if they want to, but that's mostly to just help them get out there more, so more people see it. When a person uploads in a da group everyone watching or in the group sees those uploads and is able to give that person a chance for more exposure and visitors. It will hopefully be a good way to make more friends and find potential people to collab with if you choose. I think honestly the best part will be the ability to better ones writing from outsider help. When I get the chat room up an going I'd like to hold a sort of feedback/crit workshop every month, perhaps exercises to help with expanding one's mind in writing, and have a place to for people to chat and gather together for business or fun. Hopefully, people will gain better grammar skills, better storytelling, learn to accept feedback, learn to trim the fat from their writing, and edit theirs or others writing. I affiliated with other groups that do other things as well as collabing, and beta reader services. I'm not looking to nanowrimo people and hold people to an amount standard so much as allow people to work on their projects and come in on their free time or when they feel to have that support. We are affiliated with a nanowrimo group though if you choose to use them as well. I hope this kind of answers your questions better. You can post your stuff to DA it would be great for cross traffic here. I found a few modders on DA and its how I was able to link up with people here. I'm glad too. I'm collabing scripts with one I met there. So it has been a major benefit to be involved on multiple platforms.

Any modders who love writing? Are you thinking about writing your own book or series? Do you have a DeviantArt account? (WOW! How commercial did that sound? LOL) I would love to get with fellow writers and talk, compare notes, or shoot the crap with you. We have a group over at DA called writersresources now that databases articles, sites, references, and resources for writing. I know a lot of you have some amazing talent and I want to see us all succeed. We don't just deal in resources either, we want to build a group of people who are willing to share in feedback, improve their work, and help others. HELP! I saw this really cool war hammer mod some time a few days ago before I landed in the hospital and I was going to download it but never got the chance. I can't find it anywhere but it was in the files of the month. It was steel looking and it was a piston hammer. Like car pistons. IT WAS AMAZING! I'm soo disappointed.

I haven't played oblivion modded for years now, since I was 16-17ish so my question is how many mods still work. I've looked around and some prerequisites for stuff are missing. Whats okay still? I'd like to hear your idears.

So here's more of a question than a request I just wanted to see if someone combined a bunch of mods for visual and immersion based feel. Sorry not trying to bump but I'd rather bump an old thread than remake another. Especially since this is a request. Better to have multiple people who want said request than have a splattered nexus forum. Anyways I asked for this a while back. Somewhere can't remember where, I wasn't aware others wanted this as well. I seem to recall asking for an ice mod to affect High Hrothgar kind of like Zelda dungeon with ice. You guys remember trying to fight creatures on ice! I do I love it. So my pitch is why not add a little zelda magic to the "treacherous stairs" of High Hrothgar? I'm sure there are plenty of talented modders out there that can do that. I mean if we have amazing mods like falskaar and amazing animation mods why not?

I know this is an old forum and I just recently had this problem so if anyone else has it in the future here's how I fixed it after looking a long time and trying everything and nothing worked. I haven't seen this anywhere but I tried showracemenu and everything went back to normal after I proceeded out of it. LOVES!!!

In response to post #39108915. I agree good on nexus for doing this. I grew up with these to and I'm constantly frantically downloading mods and even keeping some older versions I prefer to newer versions in some cases for my personal database. One instance I'm staying rolled back on skyui because I hate how the smithing menu looks like a cluttered f bomb especially when you use tons of armor and clothing mods even if there are mods out there that fix this they don't give me what i really want. Battle front is a good game and had great mods as well it would have been a shame to lose these considering some mod authors never return after a while and end up abandoning things. Things may also be lost on the author end as well as time goes by and computers get reloaded and replaced.

I'm not trying to bump this thread I'm going to provide an explanation to help other out. First After reinstall number five of testing various mods conflicts I've nailed it down to these mods. Summerset Isle, Beyond Reach, RGX Redguard Expansion, Black Land, Frostmaarch, or Usleep. I decided to roll back to the individual uspk patches and I'm no longer having issues. IF anyone wants to take the time to look at this go ahead you have my blessing! Also I appologize if I came off gruff and ungreatful. I've been trying to get the game to work for over a week now and I have been wanting to play it. I have a weekend coming up and all I've been doing is taking care of my kid and cleaning, and working on getting this to work in free time. I'm exhausted. So thank you to everyone on the nexus. I know no one replied to this thread, but that is okay. Hopefully it will spare someone else some grief. I'm going to go play my game now, I need a much needed tune out break. Peace out!

I'm having problems with various weapon in game not showing up graphically. Like the Steel Greatsword for example. This is the first time I've had this problem I used to run a s*** ton more mods and decided to back off to about half as many. I've reinstalled 3 times and I've used the step and proper procedures to my knowledge with installing game and mods. I'm sick of glitchy bs and I'm severely irritated. Help me if you can I'm gettting tire of redoing this over and over. The only new mods I've decided to install and try recently is usleep, summerset isle, darkend, black land and frostmaarch. Everything is good in loot and shows up fine no discrepancies. I've tried finding the issue in tes5 edit and can't seem to find anything. And when I do I fix the problem and its still there a few uninstall reinstalls ago. (Sorry need to amend this. The sword sounds and everythng work in game but don't show up visually. I want to add my thanks too. I like to try to contribute when I can when I play the mods by watching out for bugs and incompatabilites to help you guys out as much as possible in your quest for perfection.

I'm not sure how it works but I know it has something to do with turning collision on or something. That may or may not help. Sorry if its a waste of your time.
