  1. What you listed OP is pretty solid. That will do everything you want with skyrim. For monitor i would just get any basic 1080p monitor. You can go fancier but its not really needed for games like skyrim.
  2. http://wiki.step-project.com/User:Neovalen/Skyrim_Revisited_-_Legendary_Edition http://wiki.step-project.com/STEP:2.2.9.2 http://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:ENBlocal_INI https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/wiki/troubleshooting_guide https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/wiki/beginners_guide https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/wiki/dangerous_mods_masterlist https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/wiki/essential_mods http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/74427/?
  3. as stated above me if your using ENB then ENBoost is already included. Post your entire mod list and screen resolution. by mod mod list i mean mod list NOT load order http://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:ENBlocal_INI
  4. https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/wiki/troubleshooting_guide https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/wiki/dangerous_mods_masterlist https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/wiki/beginners_guide My mod list is in my sig....350 mods and in more than 30 hours of gameplay on current save i have exactly 3 ctds. I dont say this to brag only to show that with proper smart modding you can have a pretty heavily modded yet stable game.
  5. yes. what skyrim are you playing and what MO are you using? as stated above you need 32 bit MO for classic skyrim latest version is 1.3.11 If you are playing SE then you need MO2 and latest version is 2.0.8.2b or something like that (forgive me if thats not right i didnt bother looking)
  6. I will test in my game i havent used it yet this play through. the USKP did a long time ago make a change to soul trap but only the casting it on dead bodies exploit people used to do to get conjuration to 100 really fast. I have never had an issue with it not functioning normally. Post your load order.
  7. Soul trap works just fine with USLEEP. If your soul trap isnt working its due to something else. Think about it....one of the most popular mods on nexus that hundreds of thousands of players are using....do you really think a game breaking issue like that would slip by? It would be reported and fixed very fast. Check for conflicts and adjust your load order.
  8. 6700k does indeed have integrated gpu. For performance issues i would do the following. Return to vanilla and check performance. make sure PC is virus free and in good health. Run some pc benchmarks to make sure its performing as it should (like firestrike) This will tell you if its your mods or some issue with your PC weather that be virus or hardware. I have a 3570k and my cpu usage is around 60% usually. Pretty heavily modded.
  9. using modwatch is very very easy https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/3y9t8i/guidehow_to_use_modwatch/ http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/56640/?
  10. The more mods you have the more potential there are for conflicts. Especially for lots of larger mods/overhauls. Patches are almost always needed. And installation order and load order become even more critical. I have around 350 mods + requiem and more patches than you can imagine. many are merged so they cant be seen. Great care is also taken when selecting to mods to ensure maximum compatibility. I only use high quality mods and lots of thought goes into why i add it. Nothing is added just because it looks cool. With that said use this guide to help you troubleshoot any issues. https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/wiki/troubleshooting_guide
  11. Random CTD The most common cause is memory. Double check your SKSE.ini and ENBlocal.ini and make sure they are not being overwritten. See here and here. Another common cause is plugin conflicts. See here. Could be script issues, see here, particularly the "more info" section. Having the install order incorrect (left hand panel in mod organizer) can also cause this, particularly if the bsas loaded by the unofficial patches are in the wrong order. In NMM, you have to uninstall and reinstall to change install order. If a mod asks you to overwrite files from a different mod, look at the different mod description to see if that's something you should do. In MO, the left hand panel should match the right hand panel for any mod that contains BSAs if you have MO handling archives. It should always match for the unofficial patches. If on SSE: Make sure all your mods have been updated using the new CK. They should have form 44 in all records and subrecords. If on original Skyrim: Make sure form 43 is in all records and subrecords. CTD when loading into a particular cell (for example, loading into Tamriel worldspace) This can be caused by incorrect enblocal.ini settings, or an ENBseries.ini that is out of date with the d3d9.dll you are using. If you have a greatly mismatched enb d3d9.dll (the stuff from enbdev) and enbseries.ini (which comes from the preset), this can cause it (so, using 0.269 with 0.279 won't break it, but using 0.192 and 0.240 will). If this is the case, you need to either use a more up to date enb preset, or use a legacy version of enb, which may not have features you want. See here for more info. This can also be caused if you didn't actually put the enb preset files into the skyrim folder correctly. Double check your SKSE.ini and ENBlocal.ini and make sure they are not being overwritten. See here and here. Could also be due to an issue with that particular location - see below. Another common cause is plugin conflicts. See here. Could be script issues, see here, particularly the "more info" section. CTD IN A PARTICULAR LOCATION Most common cause is a faulty mesh that appears in that location. To diagnose, see here. Second most common cause is a deleted reference (fixed by proper cleaning in TES5edit when LOOT tells you a mod has deleted references) or a deleted navmesh (which LOOT will also report). If LOOT reports no errors, load your entire modlist in TES5edit, select everything except the official esms, right click > check for errors. Look for any errors about deleted things. Other errors may also be of concern. taken from here https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/wiki/troubleshooting_guide
  12. This ^^^ OP already chose to ignore this advice. But this advice is 100% correct. Except missing master. If you had missing master youd never make it to the main menu. conflicts, bad patches, bad plugins, can all cause the no menu issue. Awhile back i had a patch for an older version of immersive horses.....that mismatched patch caused a no main menu. Something simple as that. You need to test plugins one by one to find the culprit
  13. Its the starting cell in alternate start. The cell everyone starts in with that mod no matter what. To the OP. This is why you test after every few mods. Makes troubleshooting issues like this MUCH easier. Also as a novice mindlessly adding 200 plugins is asking for disaster. I am not saying you cant have a stable game with that many plugins...but it requires decent modding knowledge which new people dont have. Always read descriptions and always test and you wont have these issues. https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/wiki/troubleshooting_guide
  14. my current classic skyrim mod list is linked in my signature. On my current save i have about 15 hours or so now with that exact mod list........only ONE CTD in 15 hours. I would say thats pretty stable and on CLASSIC skyrim. So many senior members here are still pretty clueless about modding and its pretty surprising. With that said SE will definitely be a much more stable platform and take the game to new heights. many people just havent switched yet due to no SKSE and SKY UI which makes many mods incompatible. I am in that boat. People need to quit making it a competition between the 2 games. I am happy people are testing, playing, and working on SE. We need those people to get it up to date mod wise. Most people who cant get a good modded experience from classic are just pretty clueless modders. Again not saying SE isnt or wont be more stable tho. Soon as requiem and SKSE and SKY UI are ported over...ill be jumping ship.
  15. Like i said make sure they arent overwritten in the PLUGIN order AND the INSTALL order. These are different. The plugins can be sorted correctly but if SMIM is overwriting it in the installation order then you wont get the textures...understand? If using NMM you will have to uninstall and reinstall to ensure its not being overwritten. If using MO (which ideally you should be cause its 2X better) you can just drag and drop in the left pane.
  16. Never heard of this mod so i googled it. Its a combination of several smaller mods. Likely packaged incorrectly open the data folder when in the installer window and look at the file structure. set data directory on the files you want to install. I am sure it will install just fine its just packaged incorrectly. Wish i could explain better buts its hard to help without seeing it myself or physically showing you.
  17. If you are going to go through the trouble of formatting PC (which is great to do every so often) and reinstalling skyrim i personally would just start fresh. Meaning new game and rebuilt mod list. Formatting PC really helps with getting a little extra performance back.
  18. I am with you in somewhat on perkus and ordinator. For me they just add waaaay too many perks. I prefer sticking close to the vanilla scheme but with tasteful improvements. Requiem alters the vanilla perks but doesnt completely overhaul the tree or add hundreds more perks. It has a simplistic approach. But its FAAAAR more than a perk overhaul and does FAAR more than perkus and ordinator do. Outside of that i think your options are kinda limited.
  19. MO has a good million downloads and probably hundreds of thousands of active users........it works just fine. The error is with you not the program. Completely delete and reinstall skyrim. Launch it from steam to generate the INI files. Install MO. Install SKSE Everything should work just fine.
  20. Mod Organizer works perfectly fine. Your issues stem from something you did wrong. Not from MO itself. Make sure you launch skyrim to generate the ini files BEFORE you run MO for the first time. Install MO to the skyrim directory. Everything should work fine.
  21. adding bash tags is very easy. Watch a good tutorial on youtube for wrye bash. GamerPoets makes some good ones. Add the tags to Immersive jewelry. and make sure its loaded AFTER CCOR and SMIM....you dont want it to be overwritten....thats how you lose the textures. The bash tags only ensure it gets the correct stats.
  22. on kinguin you can get the dlc by themselves for about 10 bucks or entire legendary game for like 17.......not exactly breaking the bank....so no reason to not have all DLC unless you live in a third world country and are dirt poor....which i doubt since you are online posting on a forum. A large amount of mods require some if not all the DLC. Very few authors offer support for people without the DLC because its expected that by this point most people own them. Also its too much hassle to offer seperate version to cater to the small percentage that dont have all DLC
  23. should I add these in because none of them are there and the launcher category is not there. Yes. launcher goes under prefs tho
  24. papyrus logs ARENT crash logs. There are NO crash logs for skyrim papyrus shows scripting errors. with that said this might help you https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/wiki/troubleshooting_guide
