Its in scorp gulch, this was the hardest quest in the game imo, the instructions sucked.

Hey im trying to get old school ghoul done but id already learnt and did the unmarked quest for ranger andy, tried set "000e61a5".MetRangerAndy to 1 but the variable isnt recognised, tried kill / resurrect and enable / disable. Anyone with a solution for me? cheers.

Alright, I was thinking about some more ways to expand on this, and heres what iv got so far; At the very start of the game, your given a choice, normal start, or legion start, if you choose legion start, it loads up the mod. At the legion start you can make a character, and are then thrown straight into the arena inside the fort against a legionnaire, your a slave who did some wrong doing against this legionnaire, and your punishment is death! However, you manage to win! And an officer orders more legionnaires to finish the job until caeser overrules him, saying you've shown true strength, tells you to take the dead legionnaires gear, and states your now part of the legion. Starting out, you'd need to gain legion reputation, done by killing NCR soldiers, small quests around the fort and turning in chems and energy weapons. Once at an appropriate level, Vulpes Inculta will begin giving you personal assignments; 1. During the night, with your group, sneak in to camp searchlight, and open the tanks of radiation and escape, your group succumbs to radiation poisoning, but you manage to survive. 2. Impressed with your performance, he would then invite you along for another assignment. He wants you to go to nipton and negotiate a deal with the mayor, trapping all NCR soldiers there. Upon informing him, you'd then go to massacre the town. 3. The destruction of Helios 1. Think of some more if you can. After an appropriate level of reputation has been reached, Caeser will give the player a personal assignment, to track down a courier, and recover a platinum chip. Through stealth, manipulation and brute force, you'd end up destroying Mr house and his robot army, severely weakening any advantage the NCR or the strip would have of fighting off legion forces. You'd also get certain rewards, such as your own caeser like tent home, complete with slave. It would sort of work as a tier system, where you start off as a legion recruit, become a legion preatorian, and eventually, become Caeser's legate, leading the forces of Caeser through hoover dam in the final battle. I'd love a mod like this, but im hoping a small group of modders can deliver, it is doable, the germans have shown us just how far this engine can be pushed afterall ^^ If anybody else has any ideas or something please chuck them in, if there is enough interest, ill start to consolidate them all into the first post.

An NCR ranger gave me the emergency radio, as I stood over a powder ganger, I looted the guy, tried on his armour, then the ranger attacked me. Boone blew his head off and I became vilified =/ Really is too easy to mess things up. Never even done the powder gang quests because they always attack me anyway, and as soon as I kill 1 in self defence, the guys back at the prison all become hostile lol.

I got nothing when I completed it in hardcore too. Guess using the console once or twice disables it. Silly when you pretty much have to use TCL when you get stuck in the terrain, or to reset quest / character scripts when they break etc. Hardcore was fun though, added something, but as the first poster said, its got a long way to go before its truely "hardcore"

I plasma beaton'd him in the face, then he ran away from me, and turned "non hostile". I then plasma beaton'd him in the back as he ran away anyway and he turned into a pile of ash, then the game bugged thinking he was still alive and I had to reload ^^

Glad to see im not the only 1 whos given it some thought ^^ just need a great modder to swoop in and deliver :P

Anybody out there who wants to have a crack at making a Legion based mod? Just add in extra quests such as turning in chems and energy weapons for caps. Taking over towns with an occupational force. Taking part in attacking NCR bases. Taking part in raiding NCR supply caravans. A Legion companion, and since ED-E and possibly rex would fall under banned tech, a Legion mongrol too. Open up a new area in the fort and have a small slave rebellion which must be put down. Become Caesars personal spy, basically gaining intel on all factions and from Mr. House, also a plausable reason to not simply walk into every village and tear it apart. Something to do with the burned man. Be great if somebody, or tbh, a small team from the scape of things im thinking, would come together and create a Legion worth fighting for. Any other thoughts?

Possible to convert horses from oblivion engine into New Vegas? Sort of suit the whole "wild west" feel, a motorbike and power armour just doesnt seem to fit as well imo.

Yeah im wondering where he goes after saving him from caeser. Last time i saw him he was limping away, cant of been killed though, pretty much erradicated the entire camp and razed it to the ground.

How many weapons can you give ED-E through geck? Might give him a flamethrower, a gattling laser and a tesla-beaton cannon lol. See if you can give him archemedies for abit of overkill too.

Yano i'd agree but without a faster travelling option this game would just be 1/4 gameplay, 3/4 walking... and walking... and walking... and walking... If obsidian took fast travel away, but introduced say, horses or something, maybe, but when your on foot, its just a massive pointless time sync. Be great if somebody threw a red dead redemption horse system together though ^^

Each to their own I guess. I was actually hoping for the possibility of a red dead redemption horse system lol, where they roam the wilds and you can take 1 and pretty much speed up your travel time. Gotta wait for what we get though :<

I thought they were fine tbh, they dont really struggle against armour like guns do and the amount of MF cells you find before you even get to Vegas (if you explore anyway) is enough to finish the game while doing the majority of it.

So it isnt allowed? While iv been using nexus since Oblivion im still learning the actual modding rules :< Even so, it does look awesome, and i'd happily chuck that on Veronica to get her out of those hobo robes.

Worst singleplayer FF game ever made >:O Just need a little patience, some1 will probably begin a total conversion of the most popular Fallout 3 and Oblivion gear, just takes time.

Go try it out, afterall *spoiler* You can kill Mr house, Caeser, Yesman, Benny and all the main NCR guys, even pop president Kimball in the head. Be interesting to see what you find out ^^

So I ended up playing through till about halfway, (but id massacred Benny) and this time round I figured i'd try to save him. So I managed to get him out of the legion fort alive (Boone + ED-E + ratslayer massacre) and im just wondering where hes gone Oo Last time I saw him he was limping away.

They're on the 5th floor, but you need to go through a cave on the 4th floor as the doorway into the room is blocked by lockers / tables.

I dno man, Vanilla Vegas is actually pretty sweet imo, sure the mods will make it look better, but its not on the same scale as say, oblivion with/without mods.
