In response to post #73617618. #73617658, #73617673 are all replies on the same post. Alright, somehow the layout implied that this "My mods >" button is a headline for the options below, because of the different font/color and the arrow -

"Manage my mods" seems to be missing? -
Well just in case, if you find the game still crashing after "press any button to play" - independent wether you start the game through F4SE or not - try blocking Fallout 4 in your firewall. This is definitely what fixed the perma-crashing in the main menu for me - seems to be an older problem from back in december, got the solution in Steam forums.

In response to post #55388373. #55404713 is also a reply to the same post. Try resetting the search filters once. I think there are some invisible tags being blocked by default.

Image uploads on the RD site have been broken for a few days now, the progress bar never completes. Afterwards it also may happen that the image is uploaded twice, or either the thumbnail or full size image don't work.
-
Another friendly reminder that the (mod pages) Media Management on the redesign site is currently broken: 1) the gallery doesn't scroll up / down when moving an image 2) moving an image results in a seemingly random order of the gallery - example the moved image never ends up where it should go, while other pics you didn't move randomly switch place 3) thumbnails are being stretched to 16:9 format -------------------- Missing feature in the User Images management: "Sort by Last Comment"

In response to post #54937318. Well you actually just involuntarily confirmed my point, since these combined choices >are< by definition a paradox. You know these kafkaesque office forms, where form A requires form B which requires form A? The classic impossibility paradox. Nevertheless i'm not here to spam the thread with arguments, just gonna add that you may want to put some information on the "you are blocked" screen similar to the old site.

Since you're working on the site design right now - are you ever going to fix the following paradox of the Nexus structure: Let's say i find out that a mod author has blocked me from his / her mods. Which might be confusing, since i never talked to this person, commented on their mods or had any other contact whatsoever besides silently giving endorsements. Now the (old) page informs me to resolve this amicably via private message - however if that author has turned the messenger system off, there is no way to make contact. So either mod authors might block someone by accident, which happens very easily on the old page. Or they just abuse their power - "because they can" ? Either way this is obviously a paradox, you are giving instructions that can't be fulfilled currently.

Hi, looks like the Redesign is making some progress and more users seem to start appreciating it. BTW thanks for fixing the caption fields for mod user images, apparently the feedback is actually being read :-) Now you just need to get rid of the scrollbar in full-screen image mode, make the caption and gallery block fade out with the rest of the UI, and the image viewer is pretty much perfect. Anyways, i was uploading a mod tonight and noticed two issues: 1. The links on the various management panels (like NSFW guide etc) all lead directly back to the same page they were linked from 2. Sorting the order of the showcase images is a massive pain right now, the site won't properly save the new order when you move images upwards

In response to post #54811233. #54814953 is also a reply to the same post. Well i found more mods that don't show up with the search function, and i don't even have filters enabled. Example "Mature Skin" for Skyrim didn't show the actual mod yesterday, the day before it was "Requiem". Seems like both are showing up now. Not sure if connected but i had "Translation" mods blocked.

In response to post #54785418. The large images and the wider screen space are improvements. However the problem is, each element takes up more than twice its required space because of the description field beneath it. This should be shown as mouse-over tooltip instead. This also further proves that parts of the new layout put mobile devices above PC display and input, because this design only makes sense in a vertical portrait format.

In response to post #54769338. #54769758 is also a reply to the same post. 1. Press the square button for fullscreen 2. Don't move the mouse for ~5 secs

The new image viewer is great, there is just one issue with the fullscreen mode: The scrollbar on the right (green) stays on display, although there is nothing to scroll. Using Firefox.

In response to post #54751878. The endorsement button is still there, on the bottom-right of the banner image. It also works, i endorsed a mod from Fallout 4 hotfiles earlier today.

While this analysis is generally correct, the people in question will still feel insulted. Not just because "bitchy" is inherently an insult if said to anyone outside your circle of friends. But because in their perception, their own opinions and habits are the only acceptable point of view which entitles them to rudely bash and stomp everything that differs however slightly. And this is not limited to this thread, but most likely a result of the echo chambers that people live in - Facebook & co who only give you news that you want to hear and opinions you already share. With this delusion of being part of the "righteous majority", everyone trying to bring change, questioning, or merely approving of something you don't like, is automatically an enemy. Brexit, Trump, Catalonia, Neonazis in the German parliament and the Austrian government, that's the current trend which i also see reflected here. People want to lock themselves up with what they believe are equal minded others, and turn back time to live in a harmonious past that never existed. Anyways, here's the actual non-fake news: It is the year 2017, and the old Nexus design looks like something from the 1990's optimized for 1024x768 monitors. No offense to the folks who designed that back in 2008, but a redesign was long overdue. A few users actually took the time to analyze what exactly bothers them about the new design, like which parts of the layout are distracting, which features are missing or don't work as intended, and also presented possible solutions. That is called constructive feedback. While many others just plain dismissed everything including fecal language, now THAT is insulting. And the threats to leave the site or even delete their mods - in case the old design will go away - is not helpful either. Which also brings us back to the OP's impression.

In response to post #54723318. Your concept for the mod page is exactly what i suggested right after the redesign release, plus the perm / share etc buttons also moved down. This would clean up most of the entirely misplaced screen elements.
-
In response to post #54717863. ... but not the blurry ones like the old Skyrim page has, because that was one of the things that made the Nexus feel like visiting an internet museum ;-)
-
Can we get the original font back? Not the font from the old page, but the one used in the redesign until a few hours ago. This one is very distracting for the eyes. The spacing between letters feels very random and inconsistent.
-
Quick question - is it intended that mod users can no longer add a description to user images? At least i can't find an option to do that.

Alright i can now confirm the problem with some mods not showing up. I did a search for "Requiem" on the new Skyrim site, the results only showed all kinds of Requiem patches but not the main mod. And i could only access the real Requiem mod page over a "required mods" link from one of the patches. Searching "Requiem" on the old page shows the mod as first result. PS - i also searched for the Unofficial Patch on the SSE page to test TheMagician16's problem, which did show up fine for me. So apparently the problem can't be reproduced by everyone for the same mods.

Just one thing: The problem is that the image / mod descriptions kind of occlude the image thumbnails... to avoid the word "disfigure". How would you like if you posted a photo of yourself, and someone would write a comment across half your face? The only reason why this is there - mobile devices can't show mouse-over tooltips.

Agree on text being more difficult to read in the wide boxes. I guess this has something to do with the ratio of font size : width of the box. Interestingly if you un-maximize your browser window and make it a small column, everything shrinks with line breaks to a more readable format like in a book. Though this also reverts the biggest improvement of the new design, which is the increased overall width of the page. The old format had practically 50% of horizontal space wasted on a 1080p monitor. Maybe there could be a new column added on the right side of the text box, with things like "latest files" on the front page and other mod-related items (showcase images?) on mod pages?
