  1. When I first used mods in the Fallout 4 game it often gave me melted bra look on the burn victim. It was simply a CBBE outfit attempting to be worn on a vanilla body. Clothing must be compatible with the bod of choice. Other things that confused were the use of Jane Bod, Fusion Bods and "No Bods" that vanish completely. The latter I am currently experiencing again. The bods are fine wearing a Vault suit but every CBBE clothing entry vanishes. ---Vortex with its simplicity and complexity stores your setup even if you delete all of it , which I also tried and put it back. So I am using the Kingsman Tuxedo with no hands, outfits that are invisible. I have a player with a floating Pip Boy and a levitating head. I can find nothing to help with this. Vortex doesn't recognize the FalloutPref.ini or Custom.ini fixes listed in the old Oxhorn video. Trying to track the file that is "managed by Vortex" adds to the confusion. I believe there is a player body texture missing and it affects companions as well. I don't know where to look or even what to look for. I guess I'm too old for the game.. I tried Unique Player Body too and that was a quagmire I do not recommend unless you know what you are doing. Vortex also has a box for "Game Issues" It says "You have no issues" and "Lucky You" when my system is peppered with issues. Useless to me.
  2. Running Vortex, all installed on F drive Added tool F4SE launches F4SE popup occurs: Launches script extender but "cannot find "Fallout.exe"
  3. I created a path for Vortex on my F: drive Fallout 4 and New Vegas play but I haven't a clue how to get the script editor to work. I try to edit FO4Edit The edit feature brings me to Name, Start in , Command line and target. I haven't a clue what to type there and they are still incomplete.. My mods did work with NMM. Some mods load and run on their own. Bodyslide won't run.
  4. An existing Bodyslide was operating from a drop tool icon within NMM. The installation of Vortex changed all that. Vortex installed mods and Bodyslide program re-installed on the F: drive as before, but Bodyslide will not run, I got it to accept setup.xrc. It told me to check configuration tool info. I can't find anything that makes that work. Bodyslide is now nonfunctional to me and every program mod utilizing it. I am not well versed enough to fix it so far. Vortex runs and mods install, other conflicts resolve but the add tool feature won't find the paths for Bodyslide again. It won't start either. The last time it worked with NMM was here F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\BodySlide and Outfit Studio - v4.7.0-25-4-7-0-1539383859\ I tried other places Windows 10 operating system is on the C: I have fumbled with it for weeks now on and off for use with Fallout. I guess I just don't know how to install on the F: drive again. I think my modding days are over.
  5. I am in favor of such a donation program. However I personally would like to make annual donations once or twice per year. (I have an illness so I want the billing to end when I do.) Also the "like or dislike" system for mods is difficult for me. Not being a hacker, I seem to have trouble resolving mod conflicts or even understanding which conflicts are which. A no vote by me would be very unfair to any mod creator when it might simply be a fix unknown to me. I impulsively try mods without saving games correctly. A recommended, prepackaged and known compatible mod list would be a bible to wannabe mod users like me. Can I donate annually toward this fund and donate separately to individuals whose mods I have used the most? Here's what I want: $12 per month for an annual payment of $144/year. My most used, top 10 modder picks for a hit of $10 each annually. The Sum therefore would be $244 US annually. (Equivalent to approximately a $25 per month fee at an annual $250.) Or, I could just send you $12/per month and figure out the individual patrons. Later.
  6. I am a newbie to this sort of thing. I bought a subscription, had brief success playing Fallout 4 using mods. It crashed, I never had much luck with clothing and skin textures. They ended in patchwork people that reminded me of an old Star Trek episode. I like the Vaultec clothing and the idea of mods. I don't blame others for my lack of understanding how to get mods to work. I left the game playing for 6 months or so and now have decided to give it another go. I tried many apps so here we go again.
  7. Good work addressing a serious problem. Perhaps Hilary should hire you. I'm new here and It is good to know you are on top of the problem.
