It's going to be hard to get an unbiased answer to this - as people like things for their own reasons. That said: If you like a fancy GUI - Vortex might be what you want. If you want a simple GUI with all the information in one place - MO2 might be what you want. Give them both a spin, see what you like.

The key was they didn't try to do too much. 3 character arcs and a couple of underlying plot lines. That and they didn't try to impose 21st century ideology on a 23rd century post-apocalyptic world. ----- Next series give us a little more Dogmeat please.

A new player knows little. All he does know is that the 20-30 hours of Fallout TV inspired game play that is no longer viable because of an update. A grizzled veteran of the Bethesda update saga will identify with patience. A new player the TV show brought into the fold will be like a fish out of water.

1) If you are here from the TV show - learn to wait. This game is due a significant update next week. 2) You are looking for the easy way - well there is no easy way when it comes to modding games.

No, what I'm saying is one of the Executive Producers of the show is the guy running the shots at Bethesda. He more than anyone should know what happens when an update like this drops. It's more than just F4SE. Your window of opportunity is slim for a new audience as it is. You have to be able to hit the ground running with them - and throwing a monkey wrench mere weeks from TV series launch is a HORRIBLE idea from someone who is on the inside with the TV series.

If this is vanilla, the entire Boston downtown area experiences these kind of FPS issues. This is why mods like Boston FPS Fix and it's spiritual successor Previsbines Repair Pack (PRP) were born. My guess is they still won't have fixed this with the upcoming update patch - so mods like PRP will still be needed.

@RoNin1971 One could argue that the time to deliver this update was BEFORE the launch of Fallout TV - not after. By the time they drop it people will have watched all 8 episodes, got the itch, then be told don't bother because in a couple weeks Bethesda is going to drop a patch that will require even more waiting time. It's like Todd doesn't understand the modding process - or the gaming process for that matter. The casual gamer hates waiting - they just move on to something else. They hate waiting for game updates to be patched so mods work. They hate waiting for servers on new game releases. They hate waiting for delay after delay after delay of an upcoming release. etc, etc.

There is nextgen when it comes to PC's, but it comes around so rarely it's not mentioned. SSE was essentially nextgen - converting a 32 bit game to a 64 bit game.

Why would the Fallout: London team be sensationalist?

I heard there was an update - Fallout: London. A much needed update IMO. Added: Never mind. The Bethesda update has caused Fallout:London team to indefinitely suspend it's release. THANKS FOR NOTHING BETHESDA!!!

Every time I see these things involving Vortex I just shake my head and wonder why people don't just use Mod Organizer 2. It makes life so much simpler for these kind of migrations.

Well, to be fair most of the first few episodes involve developing backstories for the very people that probably should look like that anyway. Isn't until you get further into the series where you start to see the wastelanders in as Deacon would say "wastelander camo".

Misaligned carry handle sight can probably be fixed with something like In-Game Sight Alignment Tool. I've never used it, but it should give the values you need to change in the .ESP to fix it.

I didn't update to the latest version since it's primarily to add Starfield support - and I don't play that. Then again, if Elminster and Co. don't know what it means (Unknown) anyone short of a game developer probably isn't going to help.

what record are you looking at that shows the hex values? Ex. I look at say Nelson Lattimer and all I see are normal decimal values.

Not sure why the author did what they did. Switched to the Handmade Rifle animations which are left ejecting - but the ejection port on the Combat Rifle is still on the right. It's a mess if you use Hitman's Right Handed AK animations - because then you are charging the weapon out of thin air - as there is no charging handle on the right of the Combat Rifle model.

What is sad about this is Fallout: London releases 2 days before Bethesda drops this update. Better prepare to block the update if you intend on playing Fallout: London.

I wouldn't call it a non-issue. I'd call it something you most definitely need to be aware of. Why? The clusterflock that happened when Bethesda merged previously paid for content into an update (whether you wanted it or not - and lets be honest even free people didn't want most of that as they were already using better mods on the Nexus to provide that or better content). USSEP quickly posted an update, which rendered using it with the previous version of Skyrim impossible since they only keep the most recent version for download. Yeah, there is a backdoor to downloading the previous version - which most people aren't aware of. --------- My suggestion? a) Backup the originals of your mods you download (guilty as charged numerous times for not doing that). b) Backup the version of the game you are currently playing - so you can quickly revert without having to be online.

Don't forget Steam updating is only 1/2 the problem. The other 1/2 is updating, adding or removing mods mid play through. ------ This is my solution for you - for ANY game you install that you intend to mod. a) Install the game b) Run it one time, to generate the .INI files/settings. c) Back up the entire game directory. -------- This way you ALWAYS have a stable source to revert to - so even if a, b, c, x, y and z still don't work - you can revert your game in mere minutes - without having to be online at all.

At this point in time I'd suggest just waiting for Fallout: London to release. It's less than 2 weeks away and will literally be a complete game overhaul using the Fallout engine. ------ Otherwise I'd suggest what Worm82075 suggested. Your primary focus should be on solidifying your foundation (bug fixes, scripting engine and key frameworks - to include getting your User Interface sorted). After that, the rest is completely subjective - i.e. it's totally dependent on what kind of content you want in your game.

It's going to be the mother of all headaches for their modding team to respond to the multitude of "false issues" with their mod - caused by other mods the Fallout: London team simply didn't build their own mod around anyway. My suggestion: Play it as is first all the way through. Enjoy (good or bad) the experience that these modders who spent years of their own time created. Learn to appreciate it for a couple seconds at least. ------ Think about it. You go to Germany and order "insert food dish here" - why on earth would you throw heaping loads of Ketchup, Mustard or any other condiment on it first? It should be a different taste, enjoy it the way it was prepared.

Can't help with Vortex. With MO2 it's about as simple a blind chimpanzee finding a banana. 1) Activate the mod 2) Make sure you do any load order adjustments if necessary. That is it.
