Most mods in the workshop are here in the nexus, I took a look at it and it´s really scary and confusing, steam workshop seems like a trash bin for mods, you upload your mod there and stays there, there is no search option just tons of mods on top of each other it´s really confusing. Not to mention the install thing, you click subscribe and it downloads the files to your game, now what files?I don´t know -.- I don´t feel confortable to install something without checking the files first but anyway glad we have the nexus :)

Try to play without mods and custom meshes and textures, my game was also running fine wit jaysus swords and other textures mods and now I can´t even use any of those.I have 8 GB RAM.

So ever since I installed a 64 bit system and 8GB RAM been trying to fix my CTD, turns out that HD textures mods cause the CTD, I use clothes, 2k and vurt´s plants and trees, I removed the vurt´s mod and game lasts longer but still crashes, I remove 2k textures game lasts even longer but it crashes eventually. My question is didn´t bethesda enabled the LAA on their skyrim.exe? My game is updated and it acts as if I couldn´t use HD textures :S do I need to do something else?

Thank you very much, I manage to do it :D

I installed a robot and it as a bit scary, first the description didn´t say anything nor where to find it and then that subscribe button :S I liketo know what I´m putting in my data folder wont use the workshop as it´s clear that it will cause conflicts in the future.

Yes I did that for my custom race, there is also in formlist the skinmalehumanbody and skinfemalehumanbody. The thing is I can´t assign my textures to my race.Í open the nakedtorsocustomrace for my race and in additional races I sould choose my custom race but when I press ok and go back i´s not chosen anymore and if I disable the custom race in nakedtorso and press ok and go back it´s not disabled :s I really can´t figure it out.I manage to create a playable race though.

Hello, I´ve been exploring the creation kit and found where the body textures are but I can´t find how to change body textures for a custom race I made.Has anyone figure how to do it?

Bethesda texture pack vs Skyrim HD 2k Textures
scot replied to photospheric's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I unpacked the textures I wanted from the official HD pack and then installed the HD 2k textures, the modded textures are still better than HD bethesda ones. -
patch 1.4, now crashes to desktop frequently
scot replied to dethpheonix13's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
My game was stable with my old system until patch 1.3.10, after that it was random CTD every 5 minutes, I upgraded my system and tried skyrim again random CTD continues (steam and skyrim are in an external hardrive) then I uninstalled steam and skyrim and installed them fresh, started the game from the beggining and played for hours and then the CTD came back -.- game became unplayable again, reinstalled steam and skyrim again and the CTD continue.Note I don´t use mods and my computer can run any gameon ultra, I have no performance issues with skyrim just the random CTD.Tried every fix there is and nothing, I´ll simply have to quit this game it seems :-( -
I only tolerate steam because I really like skyrim and new vegas but I avoid it if I can, I wont be using steamworks as it´s really scary, you click subscribe and steam loads up a bunch of who knows what into the game.I prefer knowing what´s going into my game.I will stick to the nexus, I see no point for steam workshop and it´s really offensive making such thing when we have a really good community here.I wonder why didn´t bethesda team up with nexus instead but anyway...

My skyrim ran fine until patch 1.3.10 after it it was unplayable, since I was going to upgrade my RAM and change my 32 system to 64 bis I didn´t care much as I was sure it would work fine on my new system, turns out it didn´t, so I simply reinstalled steam and reinstalled skyrim and all is working now.
-
I believe you need more than 4 GB RAM for HD texture mods.My solution for me was upgrading my computer with more RAM and now I can play with whatever HD textures I want.

I have a gt 560 ti and I´m using the drivers and I can see a big difference in vegetation after I tweak it in Nvidia control panel.
-
That´s strange, I did the test once at my home I disconnected the internet and started steam, steam asked me if I wanted offline or online mode, it should do the same for you, are you starting steam as administrator? If not try right click on steam and start as administrator, that small option fixed a lot of my problems.
-
I´ve been using the BETA driver for some time and all works well.
-
Didn´t they said that last week?I´m quite sure I read that last week, I´m still hoping for today, I finally manage to fix my CTD and I wish to start skyrim my own way with my own race and for that I need the CK :-(

I would love to see something with a different enviroment, like deserts in hammerfell or rain forest.New weapons and armours come along with those so XD
-
You must check if your motherboard supports more RAM if not you need to check your processor to get a new motherboard that allows you to have more RAM and then switch to a 64 bit system.I upgraded my system last week and that´s what I had to do.

I was wonder if anyone is going to port roberts body to skyrim, we see so many female body replacers and only 2 male replacers and even though they are good I prefer roberts body, I love body replacers not only for realism but also becausethey are better than the vanilla ones, unfortunatly I have no skills at it so can somebody port roberts body to skyrim please?

Bethesda made the game sound better than what it is, the game is great though but sounds like oblivion with better graphics and animations, I manage to finnish the main quest and play a lot before the patch 1.3.10 gave me the CTD´s and I ask bethesda where the hell are the non scripted dragons xD The only dragons I saw were quest related, I never saw a dragon fly past me or randomly attacking me, I came to the point that I was the one spawning dragons just to fight them because the game was about dragons and in my game I would be lucky if I saw one -.-

False alarm it still crashes >:-( this was a waste of money, I tried every fix both with 32 sytem and 64 system, it crashes with or without mods, with or without saves, with or without modified ini files, I tried both beta patces still crashes, my computer is stable and can run any game now more than before since I have more RAM.When I say I tried every fix I mean every x) My last hope is that this new patch fixes my game .

Creation Kit news update from Bethesda!
scot replied to RitchieTheMerc's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I wouldn´t be surprised if bugthesda was waiting for this SOPA and ACTA bill to pass so they can charge for mods from the only mod source. (steamworkshop) They made my skyrim unplayable with their patches and no matter what I do it doesn´t fix the problem, now I would like to know how do I get my money back... well I guess I wont... -
Yes I know that :) but my game crashed on my older system and on my new system with or without mods, the TESV.exe.4GB dll came after the first time I updated my game to 1.3.10 and I deleted it, my CTD started after 1.3.10 update and must be related to that, not mods nor hardware. What I want to know is if somebody else has this file and if so does the game crashes or not.My game seems to be working fine again after I put that misterious file back in skyrim´s folder, though I shouldn´t need to since now I have 8 GB and the new updates addresses 4 GB like you said.
-
Don´t know for sure if it fixed my skyrim but wanted to know if anyone has this dll file called TESV.exe.4GB, I had a 32 system with 4 GB RAM and until patch 1.3.10 I could play skyrim without crashes, after patch 1.3.10 skyrim started to crash with or without mods, I tried every fix there is on the internet and still crashes, so I noticed that after the patch 1.3.10 this TESV.exe.4GB DLL appeared and since I couldn´t open it I just deleted it (stupidity) this week I upgraded my RAM to 8 GB and a windows 7 64 and tried skyrim, thought my crasheswere due to only 4 GB ram but sadly still crashed on my upgraded system tried every fix again and nothing, I allways keep a safe backup of every update so I went to my 1.3.10 backup and noticed that the TESV.exe.4GB was there, I put it back in and my game seems to be working again. Now the strange part is that when I reinstalled skyrim and steam updated the game the TESV.exe.4GB didn´t appeared like the first time so I am confused because I´m sure that file came from steam but now it doesn´t....it´s confusing :s Does anyone have this file in skyrim´s folder? If yes does the game crash for you?I was actually wonder i this could be the meaning of ctd for other people, since patch 1.3.10 addresses 4 GB RAM people would delete old 4gb patches and by mistake deleted the TESV.exe.4GB.Though the TESV.exe.4GB is a mistery for me because it appeared after the patch 1.3.10 and if I reinstall skyrim it doesn´t appear again, I have no doubts that that file came from steam.

My game started to crash after patch 1.3.10, I was 32 bit with 4 GB RAM, Two days ago I upgraded my RAM and changed to windows 64 bit and my game runs great with no problems at all. Almost seems like behtesda turned the game only 64 playable since changing my windows 32 to 64 and more RAM was the only thing that fixed my CTD. EDIT:Started to crash again -.-
