Honestly we knew this was coming right after they announce the workshop, what a fail on steam´s part, it´s suppose to be an anti-pirate software and it does nothing, I wouldn´t be surprised if dawnguard ended up in the workshop for download XDXD

Disc, loosing or scratching the disc only happens if you´r really clumsy or don´t care how to treat you cd properly. If you buy through steam it will take ages to download and then take ages to install, with the disc it takes 15 minutes. Oce installed in your steam account if you loose the disc you can download the game from steam to install it if needed.

Nice news, of course dawnguard will come to pc, otherwise why did xbox had 30 days exclusivity. Also pete hines said that they didn´t mean dawnguard wasn+t going to be release, jsut that they don´t have new info for now regarding it´s release.

Well that article sounds like console gamers are jealous, what´s even the point of it? If it ruins don´t mod nor use the console command unless you have a gun pointed at you and someone says to x) One day I was buying new vegas and a guy at the store said we don´t have the pc version but we have the ps3 one you want it? And "I said no, that doesn´t support mods and I´m more of a pc gamer" He said that mods were cheats and that´s not playing, I was like -.- mods are to add houses and weapons and to do whatever you want. Mods extend the durability of the games, graphics and fix bugs. I´m still playing oblivion because of mods XD

Well in that case you are in luck, you just need to activate the code once, since you already did it and installed skyrim just go to steam online mode, libraby, skyrim and right click it, then go to properties and go to the updates and make sure the auto updates are not disabled. That should fix your problem, I have a physical copy as well and I only needed o activate skyrim once in my account, no need for the code again. EDIT: Just read it again, you said you played before putting it on steam? That´s not possible I´m afraid, all legal copies need a steam account and need you to activate skyrim with the code before installing it.

Nice, it could also mean that dawnguard is coming soon, this update might be preparing for it. I´m still hoping to see dawnguard on thursday 26 since xbox exclusivity ends.

They were suppose to have 70 voice actors for skyrim, though I must admit sometimes the voices all look the same to me, kind like oblivion.

I noticed too, farengar voice over just seems like a guy reading a script for the fist time, plus the whole conversation is stupid, "so the Jarl says you have use to me, ah yes he must be refering to the dragon research" -.- all this after the jarl tell him that he found somebody that could help with his dragon project.

Before skyrim came out they said that all the DLC will be exclusive for xbox for 30 days. I remember that well and how people were all angry about it.

Well my best shot was when I started playing, I was exploring a dungeon and I was shooting a draugh archer and bettween us there was this moving blade traps, when he died and I get closer I noticed that I manage to kill him with two arrows in each of his nostril XDXD I even took a picture here (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/images/851)

I´m thinking about that too, though it´s strange that bethesda didn´t say anything yet. Then again if xbox has 30 days exclusivity it means other platforms will get the DLC 30 days after.

Switch to 1k or none, it´s due to VRAM, for 2k you need more than 1 GB VRAM.

I´m counting with dawnguard on 26 this month, it´s when the xbox exclusivity ends, one more day it´s more than that time period and they said it was only 30 days exclusive. I wouldn´t worry about the bugs for pc some bugs could be caused by the old hardware from consoles and we pc users can fix the bugs while waiting for another update. I´d say release it on 26 and if there are bugs we can find a temporary fix until the real one comes.

Been using it for ages and never had any problem, all works well. But thank you if my game has problems I know where to look for the fix :)

Hello, I´m wonder am I the only one counting with dawnguard coming out on 26 july? I mean dawnguard is exclusive for xbox for 30 days wich means after 30 days other platforms get the game right? Otherwhise xbox would have more than 30 days of exclusivity. Another thing I have in mind, will bethesda support dawnguard with a high resolution texture pack as well? Would be strange having high resolution for the whole game and crappy console textures for dawnguard. What do you think?

Nerevar went to akavir as it´s mentioned in oblivion but akavir is a continent not another realm, the lore doesn´t say fr certain what happened to the dwemer also. But a DLC happpening in akavir would be interesting, anything different from cyrodil and oblivion would be nice, I miss the exotic landscapes of morrowind :(

With the pc you can do whatever you want, you craft the game like you wish, there is a bug you can solve it with both the CK or the console command. Why there is console versions of bethesda games (TES and FALLOUT) as well as more sales on the same is beyond me.

I don't either. Not one person that said they hated Steam actually gave a good reason as to why. Other than the inconvenience. Well for exemple the offline mode decided to stop working for me yesterday, and if I stop having internet for some reason it´s goodbye to skyrim and new vegas, games that I bought -.- steam is usefull for people that use it´s features, I just want to pop in a disk install and play like the old days, hell I just have it for new vegas and skyrim wich are both single player games...

I agree about steam, I hate it so much but that doesn´t stop me from enjoying my favorte games so I tlerate it for new vegas and skyrim, it´s your loss if you don´t want to play skyrim. Think it could be worse like the cloud system.

Did you downloaded the HD texture pack?If so verifying integrity of game will make it download again wether you have it installed before or not. At least it happened to me and it sucks since it takes so long.

Got windows 7 64, GTX 560 TI with 1 GB of VRAM, along with 8 GB RAM and everything works on ultra smoothly :D

Dawnguard will come to pc and ps3 it was confirmed even before skyrim´s release, but xbox has 30 days exclusivity, I believe dawnguard will be released on 26 july for pc and ps3 and that will come as an esm or esp like bethesda´s previews DLC´s.

I followed the steps and it doesn´t work for me :( I loeaded up my game, unfavorite and re favorite both the akavir sword from jaysus and the hunting bow and nothing...
