If the nexus wants to stay top dog for bethesda mods... they're going to need to increase their site capacity or something Numbers are only going to get worse with the creation kit out now. I would seriously rage if the good modders started jumping ship to the train wreck that is steam workshop simply because they can't load this site to upload their files etc.

I love the idea of this actually. That particular fight

Just playing the captain obvious arsehole here and saying do not add any realms from another game unless you make them from scratch (aka Tamriel or morrowind). Don't wanna take the chance of getting sued or something. That said, Godspeed on this... you've got your work cut out for you no doubt.

LE Oblivion-style spell / weapon handling
Nerdmurai replied to zack_falcon's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
I actually agree with this... it's why I haven't made a mage character yet. I absolutely hate having to switch things so often and being so slow to do it. The interface for spells in general I thought was a big step down from Oblivion. -
Godspeed finding a way to do this.... this is number two on my list... right behind a follower that actually has more than one sorry excuse of a quest posing as a backstory!

Coming in 2013. Yeah no.

Anyone could argue that you could do that exact same thing with armor mods that are for CBBE, that is "let ppl conver these armors to the body mods of their choise/request" You're exactly in that position right now. Saying "let THEM convert the mods" is selfish, and with that same argument CBBE users could say to you "well YOU should convert the mod". : / I never said I wasn't being a hypocrite or selfish. I know full well what I'm asking, pleading even. As I said, I probably pissed people off that like CBBE (you) but it's a side effect of my message honestly... not the intention. Edit: I'd like to point out that CBBE does not ship with skyrim... developing armors for vanilla body textures is simply default. People seem to forget this, and it's this that makes me sad... though the giant boobs are a close second in the sad making.

I don't care what armor mod you're creating. I don't care if it's my little pony painted onto a mighty manly steel breastplate. Can you please, pretty please, make them for vanilla bodies and let people convert these armors to the body mods of their choice/request? Or at the very least add a version for us boring vanilla people? I do not like CBBE. There. I said it. I don't, never have, and never will like CBBE. Every day I see perfectly awesome armors going to waste (figuratively speaking) because they're for CBBE and I can't use them without looking like some strumpet that spent a college tuition worth on breast implants and born with the hips of a 1700s housewife and mother of 13 children. Please, for the love of all that is natural can you please make these awesome armors available to us folks who don't want our womens bodies to look like this? My sincere thanks to all of you mod makers, and my apologies to all the giant boob/butt loving people I just enraged.... I assure you it was not my intention.

....It's pretty hard to ignore the macho man aspect of that video.

One step at a time. I wouldn't expect everything to be there on day one friend. I'd be perfectly happy with any one of those features being modded separately ;)

I guess I should have clarified this would be a post creation kit request.

So I'll be mostly brief. I'd like to see Skyrim become kind of like mount and blade was once the creation kit gets released. Bandits should raid towns and take over things, randomly spawn and such for that purpose.... maybe even start their own factions if their numbers are allowed to get large enough! You should be able to officially join and work your way up factions (be able to gain privileges like making wages as a soldier, form war parties against enemies, take over enemy bases/towns for your faction etc), take them over from the inside or out through sheer force and numbers or tactics, or... start your own and conquer Skyrim in your name! Diplomacy should be a factor. This is such a big topic that I'm not even going to go into details but you know what I'm talking about. Alliances, betrayal, bribery, assassination. Mounted combat (I have a feeling this will happen anyway, but this is pretty low on my list at the moment... I'm looking more for the strategic element of skyrim) Real armed forces. Add barracks to major towns (where do all these guards REALLY come from... lets make things realistic!), breed armies and train them, armor them with the money you make by investing it into your military, recruit wanderers on the streets and maybe you'll find a diamond in the rough! Have the ability to check your soldiers stats, and if you own the faction have the ability to promote them to lead your troops in battle for a morale (small stat boost) boost. Economy! Tax your people, or don't. Invest in your town and maybe people will decide to move there from other areas, defect from the enemy, or even help you invade by sabotaging enemy gates so you can get in without losing more men while you try to break down their defenses. Upgrade your merchants inventories as you invest more money into your towns. Siege battles! Let's keep this simple for now... siege weaponry can wait. Archers on the walls, gates that actually close that you have to destroy before you can get inside. Traps set by defenders like boiling oil at the gates, fire jets in the entrance hall, swinging tree logs etc. Have the enemy actually attack you back, and actively try to take towns, towers, and outposts for their own rule! Gone are the days where you can slowly chip away at the enemy without even so much as a batting eye while you take their stuff. While you are attacking their towers, perhaps they have secretly been marching an army towards your home town, and they'll be there in a matter of hours! And much much more... that was brief right? Someone please make this mod, or something like it <3

I don't see this happening for one main reason. Steam. However, ask this question again once the creation kit's been out for a couple weeks. You never know.
-
I foresee way better mods when the creation kit comes out and we don't need to cheat our way around fun stuff.

All this talk of making Skyrim look more realistic...

Oh please do. You can match the color all day long, anyone can do that, but you have to match it to real life. I look forward to pointing out how it falls short of 'real life graphics'. Oh man, you crack me up XD AH????????? Those photographs are real life. You know these one. Its called a camera it can take pictures of real life things. Yeah, and those graphics are 1000% better than the game you posted.... because it's real life. You getting the point yet? No game has perfect graphics, nor is anyone saying anything to that effect. Every game falls short on graphics in one area or another (this is a fact, just so you know what a fact looks like).
-
"I came in with facts" Heh. You're just the gift that keeps on giving my friend. I can't say it better than the dude. Do I think Skyrim will look better than crysis? I don't know, after a quick google search to see Crysis, maybe (anything is possible I guess)? Do I care? Not really, no, because the present graphics are just as amazing in a completely different art style.

Sorry but, proof? Your opinion is not compelling as proof. I defend it because I believe your argument is utter hogwash, regardless of who developed the game. I still don't know what game that is on the right, and that doesn't change that I don't think it looks as good as Skyrim in the least. If you put up a screenshot of a game that actually had better graphics in skyrim, I'd say sure they look better. I can honestly say the shadows suck, and the flickering bothers me to no end, but it's not an issue for me because I do have patience and I knew someone would fix it because... again... it's standard to have endless mods for these games. I have the patience to wait for perfection ;) Again, what is "the very definition of a fanboy"? Have you ever stopped to think that many of us think the graphics are quite amazing? Is every game now required to have the best graphics possible at the cost of other parts of the game? I, for one, find the graphics top notch and a wonderful compromise for everything else that's in this game with them. If you checked my post history, you'd find I have plenty of things I think Skyrim came up short on. Graphics is not one of them. Sounds to me that you are simply frustrated over something and taking your anger out on this game for whatever reason.

I don't think the ones on the right look better ( I stated this rather clearly)... I think they have washed out color, blurry graphics, and otherwise fantasy-like environments like the extremely light blue water that looks like someone's shining an LED light into it. I don't play first person shooters, so you can flame those people elsewhere. That you'd call me an elder scrolls fanboy is rather amusing frankly, and I'm not even going to bother entering a flame war with such a thing. And finally... bethesda games have always and will always be about modding. It's something unique to them, and the main reason I've bought their games. I was pleasantly surprised with Skyrim in that I enjoyed it fully even without mods for 100+ hours even with things like shallow companions nagging at me but that's a personal issue. Speaking of which... you seem to have several personal issues...with the game of course. I meant the other way around you are insane if you think that the right ones don't look better. Also If you think no water in the world is light blue then again you must be stupid. Look here water king. And millions more but I shouldn't have to prove this is common knowledge. There's a big difference between real water and the koolaid in the screenshot ;) But I'm a real life fanboy obviously.

okay, now you are just flaming. Who says you are not an "anti Elder Scrolls Fanboy" trying to belittle the ES Series? see how ridiculous this can get? Wow so Bethesda releases bad textures and if anyone calls them out on it they get called anti-elder scrolls. Thats just as bad as the whole anti-semitic crap. Maybe this crowd on here is a little more insane than I thought. You know what, you're right. We're all just insane and you clearly know the answer to everything. It's all just terrible, TURRIBLE I TELL YOU. You win, congratulations. Do watch your backside on your exit, our doors tend to be trapped. I wouldn't want a morning star to crush your face as you leave. Toodles.

Says the guy named squareenixx.... just saying... I am no die hard fanboy thats the difference. I admit that after Final Fantasy 10 the whole series turned crap. I really couldn't care less what you are... this is not the place for you to be name-calling, flaming, starting wars, over pixels that you personally don't like with the name of another company and having the nerve to call -me- a fanboy? I'd love to see you prove me as a fanboy, I really would. Can you even define the phrase? Do you have anything else to say aside from calling me a fanboy?
