  1. Wow, it has been nearly a year and this bug hasn't even been addressed by anyone as far as I can tell. I still see this problem and now that vampires are going to be more common with Dawnguard, it makes this bug all the more annoying. Seriously Bethesda? You can't fix this simple glitch?
  2. Told him it was a terrible idea to contact Mehrunes Dagon. Did he listen? No...
  3. Klimmeck and Narfi both met their deaths to vampires. No big deal, I just took credit for Narfi's demise from the Nazir and had already finished the other tasks related to both NPCs. Don't fast travel at night is all I can say.
  4. Looks like it was Recruit More Blades. The mod author released a fix.
  5. So I added a few mods (More Craftables, Crafting Meltdown, The Paarthurnax Dilemma, and Recruit More Blades) and now it seems that some merchants, such as Adranne Avenicci, now has no blacksmith-related goods for sale and no gold. I have not tried waiting or sleeping for 48 hours to see if they restock, but I was wondering if anyone has encountered this before.
  6. OK, so I've fixed the two other problems. I emptied my inventory except for the quest items, then I found the bad items and removed them with the console. I then reset my character using "resurrect", making a clean save and reloading, reacquiring the Steed Stone (you have to get another standing stone then the one you had), then manually adding in all the active effects I had that were not equipment related and did not reappear after the load (Agent of Mara will show up again after a reload from a clean save). But the other problem still persists, even after I've slept for 31 days to reset the cells. Any ideas on this? It may be a hardware issue but I'm not sure.
  7. So I have quite a few problems going on with my current Skyrim character: Right now, whenever I travel north of the Dark Brotherhood Falkreath Sanctuary (around the Roadside Ruins), I get a CTD with a event log message saying that there was an exception fault code of 0xc0000417. Not sure what to do about this. I've already tried sleeping for 31 days using the No Boring Sleep menu and this doesn't appear to have worked, although I could try again. I recently removed a bunch of mods, but now my characters inventory has some bad editor IDs in it. Is there any clean way of fixing these? I know of the removeallitems and resurrect tricks, but has anyone figured out an alternative? I had an enchanted ring with Fortify Sneak and Fortify Pickpocket on it. It seems to have disappeared (may be related to the above issue) but the active effects still remain, which is annoying. Any ideas on how to remove those active effects without using the resurrect command as that command will require me to reload all my existing active effects and perks? So that's the mess I'm in. Not a huge deal as I can still play through much of the game, but I'd like to actually have a clean character for once. These were probably caused by a bunch of mods I placed on my character but then removed later on. Among these were the Bandolier, Leather Backpack, Cloaks of Skyrim, and Winter is Coming Cloaks to name a few.
  8. Ended up having to restart my character and I upped the difficulty to Master, having played on Adept before. Between that and the DD mod, it was quite a fight on the first dragon. Using nothing but a bow (I tried close-range two-handed a couple of times and failed), I was able to take Mirmulnir down eventually. Then I tried to take out a Mammoth for Ysolda, got caught in a stone hut with two of them surrounding me. Had to load an earlier save on that one in order to just get one lured out to me. Attacking one in a group will alert all the others and any giants nearby. And even a master-level player will have difficulty taking a group of mammoths and giants out. The point is, you are going to have a tough time initially. I recommend the Lord Stone early on too since it gives you magic resistance and higher armor. Most likely, you have no defense against the elemental attacks of a dragon early on. I suppose the Book of Love reward is worth getting as well early on. At least, that is my next objective with my current character.
  9. I'm sorry that a great mod such as this had to go. I hope that Alex or someone else picks it up again, but keeps the whole project simpler with just the core portion. Maybe the add-ons he had in the later versions could be separate mods? I'm not a modder nor do I have any working knowledge of the modding system in Skyrim, but I think a simpler version of this mod would still be awesome. Just having the various creatures, people, and undead attacking each other randomly in the world made for a much more realistic feel. Most of the other things like more creatures, heroes, and villains seemed like they could be an entirely different mod. As for the trolls, I wouldn't worry about them. Let those guys sulk in their mother's basements whose lives are really pathetic. For what it's worth, I thoroughly enjoyed this mod.
