  1. Talking about robots built with the robot workbench that comes with the Automatron DLC? Because shouder launcher slots are a feature of the Sentry Bot torso and can be equipped with a few different launchers.
  2. Oh man, I wish I had read this earlier. Ever since I installed a bunch of new mods - Functional Displays included - in one go (bad behavior, I know), I had a hunch it might be the one giving me trouble. CTDs very often when switching from interior to exterior or on fast travel. Funny thing is, though, that I have never noticed duplicate objects, rather single objects that seem to be levitating with nothing visible underneath, and picking up those will also often crash the game. I just kinda have not cared because I save often and the game loads rather fast. I only use it for the neat collectibles these days. It was such a nice idea. Maybe I should just setscale myself some of my own miniatures.
  3. PE also has a feature called Workshop Grid (default toggle is F3) that copies a nearby existing object's angle on the Z axis, and allows rotation in 45-degree increments. It's extremely useful for fast lining up of objects such as conduit pieces. You can also copy (the key next to 0) and paste (6) the Z angle from another object and then rotate the placed object manually in 90-degree increments until it faces the appropriate direction. But best of all, you don't ever need to use the wall passthroughs again, since you can just route other conduit pieces through walls. The passthrough doesn't snap to walls, by the way, it only sticks to top surfaces (ie. floors), with free rotation, just like all the other stock Contraptions Workshop conduit pieces, and if the wall is thin enough, then the connector stub will stick through and the game lets you place it. Unless you use PE, as mentioned.
  4. Hotkeying prid; tcl to a key combo and then macroing that combo to a keyboard macro key or mouse button makes it a bit more comfortable to use. I use this approach (very extensively) while building because the normal movement dynamics are preserved and it also allows me to move between floors very quickly. Or stop mid-fall. Also, SirGalahad, if you want to build something that looks like it belongs to the game world, Snappy HouseKit is worth a look. Wastelandify with shack parts if necessary. And you would want Homemaker for the snappable chainlink fences, if you want something that follows the terrain.
  5. Via console: setpv bCommandable 1 setpv bAllowMove 1 setpv bAllowCaravan 1 addkeyword WorkshopAllowCommand addkeyword WorkshopAllowMove addkeyword WorkshopAllowCaravanThe first three lines are for persistence and the last three for immediate results (otherwise need to exit and re-enter the settlement). Save as something like SetSettlerFlags.txt in the Data dir, then in console click the settler and bat SetSettlerFlags. Also useful if you want to spawn some unconventional settlers via console (try help settler 4 npc_) or move any default settlers that normally aren't movable.
  6. A Pong clone, probably at some family friends' house. One of those cheap consoles that had a pair of paddles and about ten built-in variants of the same game, creatively named "tennis", "football", "hockey" etc. The early eighties were a neat time to be a kid in terms of diversity in electronic entertainment. Microcomputers, consoles, arcades, Game & Watch. Bloated market and everything incompatible with everything else so everything that looked different also was different and always felt fresh.
