  1. The instructions literally said 'this does nothing until the update drops' so it's rather counter-intuitive for people to have to lock their manifest files before it dropped Regardless, I've been watching this thread and nothing that anyone has said so far seems to work to stop Steam from displaying the update as waiting.
  2. CTRL+F StageFlags no such text CTRL+F DlcDownloads no such text dunno what you did but neither of those are in my .ACF file.
  3. I wonder if some very intelligent modder out there can figure out an easy way to produce a fix for this issue. Current behaviour: the standard fighter's Weapon Training ability applies to combat maneuvers such as trip, but the two-handed fighter's Weapon Training bonus does not. Desired behaviour: the two-handed fighter's Weapon Training ability should apply to combat maneuvers. Thanks
  4. Just logging in to say **** *** Bethesda for nearly breaking my modded playthrough. Thank **** some kind soul uploaded a backup of the old exe so I can continue playing. When are they going to learn that no-one gives a rat's ass about CC updates. Christ it infuriates me.
  5. Having a problem with a very specific texture. It's the one that appears when you use a tap from a sink. The water comes out in a stream. The stream of water is purple for me. Can't fix it because I don't know where to find that texture in the texture directory. Please help! Modlist: https://pastebin.com/rQ05sFym Loadorder: https://pastebin.com/sUs1VsC0 Picture of the problem: https://imgur.com/a/LPfUH Can't see any other problems or purple textures, just this one instance The only change I made to my mod build was installing the 'Industrial Revolution' expansion for Sim Settlements, and this glitch is affecting all sinks in the game, plus when I removed Industrial Revolution the glitch was still there. So maybe it wasn't caused by that mod. Either way I'm many hours into this playthrough and I'd prefer not to restart =( Please help! Edit: k this is gonna sound really weird but when i switch characters, load up a save from that different character, then exit, switch back to my survival character, load up any of his saves... the glitch disappears Edit2: ok, so more info: this time i loaded the save, checked the water (glitched) then exited the cell, went back into the cell, checked the water again: completely clear! so... i guess it's sorta fixed? Maybe it's a Fallout 4 engine bug?
  6. Sigh. Right click. Run as Administrator. Shortcut now works. I. Hate. Windows. Mods, feel free to delete this topic. Or leave it up forever as a testament to my stupidity.
  7. Hi, having a problem I have never encountered before, long time user of Mod Organizer here so I'm sort of baffled. When attempting to launch an NVSE shortcut from my desktop (created my MO itself using the drop-down menu), I get the following error: Executable "C:/Program" not found I tried adding the following between the Mod Organiser.exe shortcut and the NVSE_loader.exe shortcut in the target window: -p "FONV2017" But that didn't do anything. My full Target text: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mod Organizer\ModOrganizer.exe" -p "FONV2017" "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas\nvse_loader.exe" Start in text: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mod Organizer" Any ideas, guys?
  8. Once this has happened a few times you learn the hard way to document the mods you're using. I use Mod Organiser and I store mods with a numbered prefix so that, if I need to reformat, or my HD dies, or whatever, I can recreate precisely the modded environment I'm using at any given time. Mod Organiser allows you to install hundreds of mods in mere minutes without affecting your base install whatsoever. You can see what this looks like here: https://s23.postimg.io/5pwfdsw8r/skyrim_mods2.jpg (this is a very old mod installation so don't try to copy any of the mod orders or combinations in this pic) I've had to do this a few times because I installed or changed something that went horribly wrong and, lacking the knowledge to fix my problem, I've had to nuke everything and reinstall from scratch. (it happened recently with a heavily-modded game of Fallout: New Vegas) The only thing that can be tricky to recreate is custom modifications, for example I had some issues with LoDs so I had to manually delete specific files. You have to document that kind of thing somewhere so that when you reinstall, you remember to repeat those actions accurately. As for ENBs, mostly they don't affect game saves. The only time they could is when you have .esp files that come with the ENB, but even then I'm not certain that they affect the save in any way. I use Grim & Somber ENB and that comes with an .esp. Anyway, I know none of this is particularly helpful for you now, but perhaps it will give you some ideas as to how you can avoid it in the future. If you're looking for suggestions for a new build, this is the last mod build I used for Skyrim, it's about a year old. Requiem in particular is a fantastic mod, but it's not for the faint of heart! (Warning: some of the mod combinations here require a lot of tinkering)
  9. For want of a better place to put this, I'll put it here anyway: it's fantastic to hear that people are working on mods for this game, I had no idea that modding would even be possible. I'm eagerly awaiting the mods you guys are gonna come up with!
  10. Hello, this is a late response to this thread but I thought it would be useful for people potentially searching for a Sprint Toggle function since this is the first result when googling 'Skyrim Sprint Toggle'! I suffer from wrist/tendon pain frequently when playing Skyrim and so I find this solution extremely nice. I found a thread at the Loadout dot com forums where the user Okiesmokie had created an Autohotkey script as follows: Autohotkey is a (relatively) simple scripting program which is easy to install, but can be a little difficult to use to create your own scripts unless you are good with that sort of thing. Download and install the software, then use notepad to create a text file with the script commands inside. Then change the file's extension from .txt to .ahk. Voila you have a script which basically functions like an executable (double-click to execute it). This script works by using the TILDE (` or ~ depending on keyboard) to apply a script function which holds down the RIGHT-SHIFT button indefinitely until the Tilde button is pressed again. Note the location of the Tilde button in the script (embedded in the phase *`:: ). I refined this script in two ways, first of all I did not like the button choice (prefer a mouse button) and so I changed Tilde to XButton1 which is Mouse4. You can find a list of button/key phrases for Autohotkey here: http://www.autohotkey.com/docs/KeyList.htm Secondly, I did not like the notification window is styled, it feels too intrusive, however it is extremely useful to know when the script is and is not active so I found out another method of notification, which is as follows: find a simple 'sprint' picture on internet, save on your computer in a specific location. Instruct the script to display this picture as notification of the script running, instead of the normal notification. An explanation of the SplashImage function can be found here: http://www.autohotkey.com/docs/commands/Progress.htm This is the finished script: Summary: when you press XButton1 (aka Mouse4) the script holds down R-Shift (don't forget to set sprint to R-Shift in-game) and also displays C:\sprint.jpg without a border ('b') and at the coordinates 10, 100 on the screen. Don't forget, you have to find your own picture from the internet! Notes: you can change the buttons 'XButton1' 'RShift' as needed to suit your particular configuration. You can also change the location of the displayed picture if needed by changing the numbers next to X and Y; I chose 10, 100 so that the icon is out of the way but also doesn't block the in-game info-text. Obviously the picture you choose is your own and so can be whatever you want. I myself chose a Warcraft icon (google 'sprint icon warcraft') =) That's it, hopefully this is helpful for someone else! http://www.hahastop.com/pictures/Run_Shadowfax.jpg
