  1. I doubt that'll happen without Someguy's saying it's done. Closing an author's topic because they haven't been talkative lately would seem a bit disrespectful.
  2. Having a strange issue. Dremora black robes are see through, Hands, feet, head, all show up fine, just floating there, but there's no body. Might be a mod issue, I can post my load order if it helps. Any ideas what's wrong?

  4. Yes, but you can see when he was last active though, and it was only a week ago. Before that there, it showed him having been active every cover since the Fallout 4 reveal.
  5. I actually never got to see that,if anyone got some pictures I would be interested to see them,I wonder what that fake SomeGuy said He just quoted a bunch of stuff from the G RR Martin assassination quest from Bobby Bass, trying to sound all cryptically hinting that the trilogy would be forever left unfinished.
  6. I can't blame the community for knowing quality. I tell people I know who have only played this game on the consoles what they're missing, and the Someguy series is the example I use when I talk about how great mods can really be. He's a really good writer, and some of the references he uses are really crazy details and references that people can probably catch if it hits them, especially a huge reference to a certain classic Western in Bounties II. But he draws upon all kinds of stuff in his writing, from sources as disparate as the United States Marine Corps (peppered across the whole series actually), to the Khmer Rouge in one of the character's backgrounds. Nobody else really puts that much thought into it. Needless to say, I can't wait until Bounties III comes out. Sweet Revenge + Marko's Dome = Happy Me. I hope we get a chance to kill Mr. K too. That'd be icing on the cake. It's like, the writing's not just good for a Fallout mod, it's damn good storytelling in general! I've seen quite a few big budget films with stories no where near as detailed, powerful, and thought provoking as the Someguy series, particularly Bounties II and The Inheritance. Also New Vegas Killer was one of the funniest things I've seen in the last few years.
  7. Mass Effect 3 received game of the year. Your argument is invalid. Also your choices in NV impacted the ending you get which is more then you can say for 3. In Fallout 3 it was nailed down too, Good Karma Ending, Bad Karma Ending and Neutral Ending. Mass Effect 3 was a good game, like Fallout 3, which also recieved game of the year. My argument is still valid. Like I said, Fallout 3 and New Vegas both did things better that the other didn't. Yes, you can argue that New Vegas had better factions, I'm not denying that, in fact I think you are mistaking me for someone who dislikes New Vegas. I love both games, Fallout 3 had a beautiful, destroyed landscape, while New Vegas had a dull landscape with abysmal level design in many areas. Though Fallout 3 did have what you said, flat factions. I'm not going to lie and say I love Fallout 3's combat over New Vegas, because it did lack. I think what did it for me though, was the level design. In Fallout 3, almost everywhere had a story and pretty everything had a purpose, with good level design. In New Vegas, a lot of places were just there with little to no backstory. Basically they were just fillers to make the world feel more cluttered. That, in my opinion, can really define whether or not you are immersed. (Edit, and in response to peadar) God, don't you hate when you are typing a response but you somehow go back a page and it deletes itself? Anyway, before my computer inconveniently goofed up, I was basically saying this. For me, I only was able to complete New Vegas once, in an NCR playthrough with my first character. And that was way back when I still played on the 360. Since then, I've tried and tried but I've never been able to complete it because it just gets boring and I usually stop caring just before Hoover Dam. Mainly because the other endings never really got stuck with me. Even with independent, I never liked the securitrons. In a game about player choice, I never felt like I had the option to do what I wanted to. I wish I was able to nuke all of the NCR, given the option, or the Legion. New Vegas had tons of options, but none you really cared about because they couldn't really expanded on. I wish if I went with the NCR, I could have played a bigger role or joined them. I almost always felt like a mercenary to them, and the Legion. They were options, yes, but I felt that they were shallow. Basically, in Fallout 3 you could be the savior or destroyer. Not many options. But you could do so many things as that person, even if they were nailed down as good/evil/neutral. It was satisfying being able to basically destroy the Brotherhood, or the wasteland itself. Even though I prefer New Vegas to 3 in pretty much every way, I will 100% agree that 3 had much better world design. While it was still pretty boring in large parts of the wastes, the DC ruins were always fun. Too much of NV was just desert. Still, looks like 4 will be a massive improvement in the area of diverse environments.
  8. Got a date now. November 10th. Lets see if Someguy'll have it out by then.
  9. Glad to see he's been online. I could care less when the mod's out, but I was getting worried something bad may have happened to Someguy.
  10. I believe he said the character Ford mentioned in the first post will be a companion. He may have said something about there being plans for an animal companion as well, I can't quite remember.
  11. I doubt Someguy would just abandon the mod without a word. When he went on temporary retirement, canceling the much less finished Firebase Zulu mod, he made an announcement. I'd imagine right now real life's taken the priority for some reason or another, and the best thing to do is give the guy a break, be patient, just enjoy the mod when it comes. Hell, replay the series on a new character. I've done that about three times over the years, yet to find myself tired of it with just how much content and options he's packed his works full of.
  12. Eh, not that it's clear the intended May release isn't happening, I can wait as long as it takes. Was just impatient when it seemed things were going on schedule.
  13. He'll either laugh hysterically in shock, or be traumatized to the point of never eating dino nuggets again.
  14. Just found a bit of foreshadowing I've never noticed before, from The Inheritance. On the way to Mt Charleston, you encounter this seer guy, Nowak the Wanderer, who gives some interesting looks into your future. He talks a bit about Sinners and Slaves, The Message, and I think Firebase Zulu, but nothing beyond what Someguy's already teased. What's interesting is when he talks about your greatest enemy, and if you will ever come as close to death as the beginning of the game. He talks of a snowy graveyard, a man in black, blood on the snow, and the greatest torture you've ever exprenced. Not sure if any of this was intended for the earlier Lake of Fire draft, or ir the climax is really gonna be that traumatic. Can't wait to find out.
  15. That's interesting. Thing is, Someguy's profile still says he hasn't been online since February. Is there any way to see who uploaded a private file?
  16. Chill out dude! Someguy's making this thing for us for free. He has no real obligation to work on it other than wanting to please the fans. With this mod in particular, there's a lot of pressure to provide a good ending to the trilogy. I can wait as long as he needs. (though I am a bit concerned at his 3 month absence)
  17. Got info on all of them. This post has a brief description of several potential mods. This post and this post have info on Sinners and Slaves, the possible next mod in the series, final mod before FO4. Sixth post down on this page is about The Message, as does this one, and this one, both of which also talks about Just a Courier. There's also a few mods not part of the overarching story. The Man from Old Mexico is briefly mentioned on this page and the next two. Described an outline for a mod called Darkest Heart 7 posts down here, a rough outline for a town mod called Overpass here. New Vegas Noir is described here. He's also mentioned a couple of comedic short mods to maybe one day make, The Ballad of Bobby Bass, Someguy's Scintillating Scenarios and Groom Lake. A Bobby Bass companion mod, a random encounters mod, and a weird Area 51 mod, filled with Alchestbreach references. Also mentioned having an outline for a mercenary mod called Martin's Marines that he's saving for Fallout 4. Reading through 30 pages of Someguy's old posts was totally worth spending an hour or so on.
  18. Firebase Zulu was abandoned the other two weren't officially abandoned yet. Firebase Zulu is referenced heavily in the inheritance. Basically it was a massive base defence mod where you help a large NCR camp hold against a massive legion force. Just a courier (I think) was set years after new vegas where the now retired courier takes part in one last mission. Can't remember the last one. There was one planned at one point that involved fighting super mutants in mexico. If I remember correctly, The Message was going to be based on the classic western Shane.
  19. Bit confused about something. Someguy's forums profile says his last activity was back in February, but it shows him accepting friend requests every few days on his Nexus profile. Is that something that happens automatically, or does that just mean he hasn't been on the forums since February. If that's the case, anyone been in contact with him since? Getting a bit worried something may have happened to him.
  20. I'd imagine so. At the very least, you'll have the benefit of having events in NVBIII based of choices you made in II, as well as Russell and The Inheritance if you've played those.
  21. Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask it, but are there any mods with needing to kill while in werewolf form that work with this Moonlight Tales lunar based transformation? I've found a few mods that require daily or weekly kills, but nothing for monthly, or for only while transformed. Does anyone know if something along those lines exists?

  23. Asked him awhile back on his youtube channel. Only response he gave was "Hmm..."
