  1. For those settlers that annoy you NOW the most: Not automated, but you can change settlers by using showlooksmenu. Click on a settler and see its ID. In the console enter: showlooksmenu IDJust ignore any leading 0's - this does not apply if there are leading F's. For long term... I would assume that there exists something like a 'level-list' or for a better wording 'clothing-list'... (idk how they are called in Fo4, but something like this MUST exist) One would need to edit those lists with items from your mods (and save it as an extra mod, thought that might be possible via esl). I havent done anything like it before, so cant give you more advice / information on this. Hope this helps
  2. There is a simpler approach - IMO. Since you talk about bodies, you do have CBBE and Bodyslide. Now, if not existing, make "clothing groups", once you selected a group, applying a new body will only use the clothes of that group. Good clothing mods come with their own CBBE clothing group - at the very least in their body-slide extra download. This said and done, all you need to do is, create a body, apply it to a certain group and continue with the next group. Only issue is you must NOT mix clothes that are part of different groups, or you will get ugly overlaps. Voila. Hope this helps
  3. As the question specifices nowadays, I assume as in - different (or in addition) to back in the days. They is: * ESP Explorer ; The original has been depricated, but is continued by another author * Advanced Console Heather has been around for a while, she's the best companion mod ever! (for FO4 at least) What I like to do at times, go to a certain topic, like Power Armors, or Synths, then sort for endorsments, downloads, and last activity/uploaded. Its incredible how many new mods this game gets, daily... after all these years. As a veteran you might like all the 'difficulty' mods in the immersion cathegory. This said, what I've found there is something I cant wait to test play, once I've prepared a savegame to start from :p It's this one: Crime & Punishment : https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/42857 He's the same author who's done Advanced survival tweaks, another awesome mod
  4. Just for re-assurance, the regular ingame 3rd person view is nothing to your liking? I can aim pretty nicely in 3rd person, looking at my char and seening that corsshair. You can change the camera by pressing "v" or using the mouse-wheel. And to look around in 3rd person, you just need to holster your weapon by keeping 'R' pressed for a while. Hope this helps
  5. Never had such issues.. I'm always launching via F4SE_launcher... There is an option in MCM?? :geek:
  6. Sorry, I dont know the 'mod' (?) inensity. But I'm confused by your saying.. "Not early enough terminals..." You mean the terminal in Vault 111 is not early enough? Doesnt the Pip-Boy work? Or the terminal after that, in sanctuary? Slightly off-topic: Very early on, saved to games via console... Nate and Nora played just until before leaving Vault 111, this way I save myself ~20minutes, and get 'instantly' to char (re-/creatioin) confirmation.
  7. You can create outfits with the meshes, assign each outfit a different body-preference and its super easy. (just deleted the pre-existing cbbe-body in the outfit-studio) But I doubt that 2 different body-changing mods work well together.
  8. You might want to try 'Darker Nights'. If I remember correctly, there's an option to turn night on 24/7. EDIT: Err... n/m... I was reading FO4 forums, and this post was 'suggested' at the side...
  9. I'd consider FO4 archive, to backup your recent FO4.exe, so incase of a forced automated update, you can still re-use (copy paste) the old exe, which then lets you keep the 'old' mods. hth
  10. So, you guys tell 'me' that the 'dead installs' of new mods is over? Like, the mod manager, regardless of NMM/Vortex shows a mod installed, but not a single file was actualy copied into the game data dir? Because when they had introduced Vortex, it killed my 3 of my most beloved savegames - because i had trusted the Mod manager that the updates where handled properly, instead it had worsen them. That was like maybe a year ago or so...? Eversince I did all my modding Manual again, and one single Occasion aside (after which with my Manual method, i had recovered all my 150+ mods within the time it required to copy multiple Folders Content into the data Folder -> ~15mins at max), havent looked back.
  11. I can grant you there are no clipping issues with PNO if you 'stay within realistic limits'. This said, I have my girls pretty busty too, but, not much than a 'normal' breat-OP wouldnt do. Like, my sliders 'top' at the middle for the breasts - if even that hughe. I cant stand too big boobs, as that seems VERY unrealistic to me. But, it's all a matter of personal prefernece ;) In the Outfit Studio you can select the 'biten apple' Thing (decrease mesh volume in certain area) and 'draw-drag' while starting on the piece of Cloth you want to get visible. hth
  12. I'd assume it might be: SentryArmour.esp=1 However, what Kind of list is this?? I prefer to edit the loadorder myself: (not recomended, specialy if you use a(ny) mod-manager!!) * Windows button + r * Enter: %localappdata%\Fallout4" * Edit: Plugins.txt * Remove/Add a "*" to load or not load the mod on that line hth
  13. While looking at Conquest, you might also give 'Campsite' a look on how that is done. Now after reading your description... oooohhh... settlers can use this?! Nice! Great idea! Maybe you could add a 'toggle' command, that checks wether the fire is burning or not, and the menu would Show 2 entries. When the fire is lit, there will be 'make fire out' and 'cook' option. But when the fire is not lit, there would be 'fire up' and 'pick up campfire'. hth
  14. Since Heather and Atmic Radio (incl it's seperate mod!!) are already named, lets fill up my other favorites: Until you remove her grenade and gun, a slightly OP companion would be: "Tori" If you prefer to have your companion more melee (and sexy default clothing ; According to Shadiversity (YT) - such clothing is not out of line for melee fighters - at least before the middle age for barbarians), I like "Vex" as well. Oh, and to use multiple companions, I recomend AFT (Advanced Follower Tweaks) -> it's the smallest and THE most usefull multi-Purpose tool, it's awesome! Have fun
  15. For the body I still like CBBE the most, and Irma/Ida (or something similar) body texture, incl trimmed (not childly-total-shaved) privates (seperate Irma/Ida mod). About the clothing, I most prefer Easy Girls. (over 200 ! clothing pieces!!!) But among my favorites are also: * ASA * Franky * Post Nuklear Girl (PNO) hth
  16. Doesnt matter much which weapon, I love running around with my explosive 10mm pistol. With my current playthrough @ lvl 71 (as it's like my 20th'ish game, it's a synth so it had higher stats and several perks, so more like lvl 111) I walk around super mutants with my all regular-modded 'easygirls' Outfit and make them crawl and lick my shoes, begging for mercy. While this time I owned the DLC's, so first time there - yay, love Nuka/Harbor! - when I came back to the Commonwealth, it was alot….. easier…. Because for the first time, I actualy had to enhance my clothings, not only Deep Pockets... I decided for "Advanced Hybrid Weave" on 3 clothing items, Tier 1, then later upgraded to Tier 3, never unlocked Deacon (this time) for the T4 & T5's of it. Also, the sheer armor/Health pool of the Nuka & Harbor (increasing in this order) hostiles is stunning compared to the Commonwealth. For the next time, I know i'll be saving - and actualy use - the nukes for Harbor, so i'll be able to settle down faster  Meanwhile, I finaly understand why so many people like the 'difficulty increasing mods' so much. But up until 'today', I did percieve the current default difficulty as very pleasing and well balanced, even with a synth g4 game (s8 p6 e6 c6 i8 a6 l6, each perk once, but cannibalism 0, scripts) But after this recent experience, it feels so... lame? So, I'll be searching for mods to make the Commonwealth harder, but keeping nuka/Harbor at about the same level. And as I understand it, I might try "Sim Settlement : Conquerer" which will populate Settlements for me to conquer, either by diplomacy or other means :pirate: And by that, it will hopefully have 'usefull' Settlements 'in place', which will therefor ease the rest of the Gameplay... ahh.. hope… dies last... But at the end of the day, I'm a wimp. --> I never ever managed to go to Diamond City/Good Neighbour before level 15, usualy around 20... Therefor, I'm already 'well' equiped when I meet super mutants for the first time. True, doing all these would be a real challenge and certainly increase difficulty! But fun? I liked to unlock my weapon mod's at Level 44 beeing in Far Harbor.... It was far more enjoyable, but still challenging with that last bit of extra dmg, than without - in Far Harbor.... Then again, the per-weapon-dmg boost wasnt maxed out, for any weapon, but it was at 60% for 2 types. I see it exactly the same with Survival and game saves, if the game wouldn't CTD 'that often', I wouldnt bother, but as it is, I consider such a mod a bugfix. Likewise for Achievements, I dont see/understand why adding - for the examples simplicity sake, lets say - a Bikini with 0 armor or having a green moon shouldnt allow me to get 'rewarded' for what i'm doing in the Commonwealth. Then again, by usings caqs I accidently gained some Achievements too early by accident - as the first i didnt know what i was doing - aborted as soon i figured… The 2nd was just recently, as I thought it would only complete 'vanilla' quests, where it even completed user mod added quests.... uff.... yikes.. aborted, sadly some dlc achi's got unlocked as well.. .:( I dont care about achievemtns as such, but when I get one, I want to have it 'earned'. Thus, first I did was to play 'endlessly' "Whoper" (that thing you hit with the 'hammer' (real & -) or knife or whatever (-ingame)) in Nuka Town in order to get enough.. erm… 'reward coins' (not coin, those paper things) for that 40k Achievement... at least i got some cool rewards out of it as well :wallbash: Luckily most of those (both times) were *mostly* things you do anyway, like doing the 'main' Story ('land in far habor' ; not the actual Story/quest/achi name)… Guess I'd better write this as a Disclaimer on my steam profile than here as a Story :teehee: Buf if your thread is a Question, then yes, I think the game is properly balanced. For an enjoably and relaxing role play, with some Shooting Action (VATS FTW). AKA Casual, which I recently realised, I had become (here, arguable, depends on situation, but other games for sure!!).
  17. I'd recomend CBBE with IDA (pubic hair, so she doesnt look like a teen). I understand you feel ignored, I'm sorry for that, but the issue you're experiencing is probably a misorder (of different Installations) of your mods. Body mods can be very delicate, specialy if you try them all out. On SEVERAL occasions, despite knowing what I was doing, I managed to completly mess up my characters, unrestorable, by just adding another mod. It was like, nippels on the belly, and other parts of the body (texture wise) everywhere, but not where it should have been. At that point i was VERY happy that the face is handled seperatly... With the aim to help, i'll post my load order, up to the point where I add all other mods, as that is beyond/after the 'critical part' of your concern. ################### # BASICS // LoadOrder's: 01-0F ################### *Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch.esp *ArmorKeywords.esm *Armorsmith Extended.esp *CBBE.esp *LooksMenu.esp *LooksMenu Customization Compendium.esp *KSHairdos.esp *Lots More Female Hairstyles.esp *AzarPonytailHairstyles.esp *The Eyes of Beauty.esp The Eyes of Beauty Looking Stranger.esp *Playable Synth Eyes.esp *DnxTattoos.esp *LMNSOverlays.esp *MisfitInk.esp *LooksMirror.esp *HUDFramework.esm *EvilInstituteHD1k.esl ################### # Clothing // LoadOrder's: 0F-22 ################### Best Approach (regardless of mod Manager or Manual installations): * Start with a Fresh game Installation * install CBBE / EVB / AB / JB (but just ONE, not two, never! - at least I had VERY bad experiences doing so, as you just described) * install Bodyslide * Install IDA (trimed pubic) * Start game (or just bodyslide) and verify it works * Save Mod Profile as preset, create a new copy of this preset for mods you add in the Futures * If you dont use a mod Manager, do all this in a seperate Folder, which you 'then' copy into the game Folder -> if it works, great -> do all future INSTALL's in the game dir, if it then works, install the mod in that seperate dir hth, it's all suggestions with aim to help, but everything you do is on your own Risk!
  18. Do you have another character of the same name? It might have 'reloaded' the 'wrong one' upon game restart. If so, press 'T' during the 'load game' dialog, to verify you have the proper char. Otherwise, within a loaded game, open the console and enter 'LoadGame XY', where XY is the name of the savegame you want to load. Basicly you want the file that was modified at the time of the CTD. hth, anything you do, you do on your own risk.
  19. All what already has been said by jones. (please bear with me for possible non-accurate-terminology) AFAIK it's a known issue that within the/a city it *could* create lags despite good fps, in many games. And that c/would be caused by the 'close by Towers' full of enemies, or just plain memory swap (view angle, RAM to disk ; disk to RAM) But since you have an i7 9700, I assume you'll have more than 8gb ram as well, which therefor shouldnt cause this issue. However….. Certain ENB's may cause lag at certain Areas, though, usualy also with a FPS drop… I'm using one where I have Drops in Fort Hagen (kinda strange imo, FPS Drops down to 25), and in Far Harbor (more obvious, due to all the fog, Drops from 60 to 45-55 fps, but more lags than fort hagen).
  20. Hahaha sure  Know the Feeling, mod wise… I'm currently at around 156 mods, and 14'ish (different sim settlents mods, finaly 'added') mods in the pipe to adjust with the current LO. Not sure, I usualy end up with only visual mods, only a very small handfull of mods are influencing the actual Gameplay (compagnions, Content mods (Fusion City, Phoenix rising, etc)... ) Now that I - finaly - have played the DLC's, I understand why People wanted mods to make the game harder. I used to think of Fo4 as 'perfectly balanced' for my game fun… until i owned the DLC and played them… After nuka world and far Harbor, the Commonwealth seemed so... childishly simple... By which i mean this: No PA, 10mm pistol (regular ingame-modded), One can take out ANY 'obstacle' at lvl 71 after those 2 DLCS.. a Horde of super mutants? - No biggie. a Horde of Feral Ghouls? - Easy. Legendary mirelurks? is there somethign scratching? At least that confirms why i was vs. weapon mods that make Gameplay easier. Now Looking for mods to make Gameplay harder, without making it tedious Survival.
  21. I kinda think this thread should be moved to spoiler alerts... -> beeing middle/end content of a DLC. This said… xD I had AFT (Advanced follower tweaks), gave cait a 'Rail' gun, Heather had a PA and minigun, and my robot.. well.. 368 dmg is a good start throwing nuka colas around the nuka town :D And I think i had left the Plasma gun for/with Tori. (no grenades though, that's a self-killer!) Final words: Open Season was a good warmup for Far Harbor, where things got slightly more difficult :p Most fun??? Got enough Charisma? Can you 'tame' enemys? Make them attack their Friends? Are you more of a stealthy Sneaker? How About placing some 'nades in the pockets? ^^ hf :)
  22. If I were you, I'd had a closer look on these mods: * Robco Fascitlity * Robco Utility Room Shelter * Robco Cleanup * CoreRobots -* Not saying any of them are the cause, but since you're issue is with Robco… well.. yeah… I'd start to investigate with these.. hth
  23. Since most of the time I prefer to do an Institute playthrough, I was always looking for an ENB that doesnt blind me while beeing there. This said, I'm using the 2 of them (only 1 at a time obviously!). * Highpitched Poseidon Energy Sweet ENB ; Personaly the BEST enb for Institue Play!!, but watching your own char in 3rd Person into the face is usualy blurred by DoF. * Visceral ENB Lite - True Storms - Vanilla ;; A slightly sci-fi ENB, as it changes the visual appearance quiet a bit ; Fort Hagen is an FPS drop 60->40, Far Harbor as well, 60->40 fps. hth
  24. Well..... All I can say is that I prefer those 'default' usual suspects as a Radiant quest upon starting a game, rather than a true RNG. Because, about a year ago I started a survival game, you know, the tough 'default' Version, no saving, the urge to eat, drink and Sleep, etc... After I Rescued Preston and his Company, they've sent me to the Castle... the Minuteman castle… aprox 1-2 hrs into the game, not having done anything else but red rocket and Sanctuary. I mean… not only is that way too early for RP reasons, it is WAY too early weapons wise, it is way too early distance wise! Best of all.... since it was the Castle... he didnt give ANY other quest, kept Talking that we Need to get it, and move there… at around lvl 4... yay…. I mean.. Survival, then to you're sent across the map, through cities filled with super mutants, Crossing Strees of ghouls, Raiders, gunners.. as/for the 3rd 'town' to free…. Would you really appreciate this Approach for RNG? - as in a regular way? Dont get me wrong, I love a challenge, but this wasnt fun. Because now, with a fresh new game, I have the default suspects again - in order. So I have Abernathy, Tenpines, Red Rocket, Sanctuary, and now moving forward to Starlight. That's an order to expand your influence strategicly into the commonwealth., becoming strong as you move on.
