  1. Whilst I know everyone is waiting for the CK, and additional mod tools, like an SFEdit to come out, so mods are a lot more challenging at present, I tried my best to trawl back through 42 pages of this forum, and do not think I am repeating anything, so want to get it out there early: This universe is EMPTY. MT-AF! That is this universe of Starfield. I finally ground away enough to have enough credits, high enough level, and max points in Starship Design and Piloting, to build my 'dream ship'.... ok.. not my dream ship... a long way from my dream ship.... but a decent ship which could go ANYWHERE, I do not know how others play.. but I planned that from my first moment in game, when I began my debut playthrough... I sacrificed traits I thought I might like... like specializing in a few different weapons, maxing both stealth and security, like I would in previous BGS games, skilling in to some physical skills JUST enough to get by, and only skilling in to social skills to get Leadership and Starship Command.....and I completely ignored Outposts....JUST so I could get a truly interstellar ship, ASAP, and push well out in to those red dots, 30+ light years away from where I was initially able to fly...... .....and then I get out there.... and NOTHING. Well... there's a ..... colony which on some level, as an Australian, earnt a special place in my heart ... and another with some.... famous faces..... and I thought that boded well.... but man... was I wrong... I spent two days now, cruising around all my red dots... making them glow white.... and aside from some pretty weak settler outposts... one literally not much more than a glorified hobo camp, with folk living out of OPEN, shipping containers.... there was NOTHING. There's like what... three big cities.... and like five towns? A few space stations like the Den, and the Clinic, and few dodgy places like the Red Mile.... in all the known Galaxy? Come on. Even if only like.... 1% of the worlds population escaped.... doing the math, if one accepts estimations at current birth rates globally, for where the population would be when Earth lost her atmosphere.... then that's STILL millions and millions of people. I know it is just a game... and I know we cannot be expecting realism.... but even Skyrim had more towns. There should be WAY more in this game. So my idea, for anyone wanting to, is as soon as the tools are there, and mayhaps when some savvy modders make additional custom content for the build menu, is for someone, or a group of some ones, to form a thread, pick a planet or moon, in a given system, and add a town. Does not have to be Neon or New Atlantis, or even Akila or Cydonia, but a Gegarin, or New Homestead, or even a Hopetown, every second system at least, really feels like it is sorely needed. I had the randos, way out at like Harking or somewhere... tell me they wanted to turn their 'Settlement' (the hobo one, which was basically a ramshackle assortment of shipping containers, open to the invironment, an ICE PLANET environment mind you)..... in to a long haul trade route rest stop... proper shop, hotel, diner, that kind of thing. Really lady? You are the first people I have seen, at least who were not Fleet or Eclipse, in like four Star Systems.... and you think you are going to get traffic? I mean, they were not even the last stop on the line... the line stopped five planets back.. and they were way TF out on the edge of existence. Yet, it seems to be a dream of no small number of settlements.... though they are always two or three systems away from the nearest properly settled systems (as in active research and mining stations, more than one settlement somewhere). So I really hope someone makes that happen.
  2. Oh I have been modding a long time, and I now that the game is just the game. But modding itself is what changed, in this case. For example, my first foray in to modding, was almost 20 years ago, with The Sims 2. Mod the Sims is still one of the most import sites to modern game modding, since everything from Script enablers, to something like CBBE, really got to be something, being used for that game. But back then, things were simple, there was a little manual labour, but only really unpackaging the zips and dropping them in to the right folders. Anything really complex to enable some aspects of mods or new meshes, or .... another things which the Sims 2 really made a niche.... 'adult'....content mods of complexity.... all had their own exe which just did all the adjustments and things themselves. I do not recall, for example, texture enabling, with something like CEP, being anything as close to as finicky as installing the mods for Bethesda games was, and is with this one.... because of lack of tools. But the thing is, I never bothered modding my Skyrim, until about three years ago... and only two years ago, did I decide to mod my Fallout 4... so I was not modding those games day one..... the only game I had to go off, with modding early, and without many tools, was indeed, the Sims... though I also modded some even older games thereafter... and the experience was, from memory, MUCH easier, even without a lot of modding aids, and the modders doing a lot of prepackaging, than this seems to be. Thus I was just curious as to why. I am and old gamer, predominantly console, but also PC, on and off, in my 40+ years of gaming.... but I never was one for the technical side of it all.... so was just wondering what the score was. My experience many moons ago, of modding without a lot of tools, was, for the game I modded, one of relative easy regardless, and my experience of newer modding, has been for games which have been out for so long there's a plethora of tools for both the mod authors, and users, to simplify it all. This is the first time I saw it be so... intensive... and require so much.... effort.. to properly use and install... and in some instances... even run... mods. Yes, you are right... what I will do is just grind through one full playthrough, then go back FO4 and SSE, maybe grab something like Baldur's 3, or see what expansive indie games have come out recently, drop in to them for a few years, and come back when I can make my Starfield as awesome as my Fallout or Skyrim
  3. I saw a mod which fixed the latter issue about mods not going to Data. But I am head shy AF, getting in the ring with mods if it is all in the state you said... I do use one graphics mod, which seems to have worked without me touching anything aside from letting it overwrite one file.... but yeah.... batching ini adjustments, in to a master, sounds likely a solution... but I am assuming you have to change that master every time you add a new mod? Nightmare a scenario for a dunce like me. The CK will be out about... Spring.... (well Autumn for this antipodean).... next year... from what I gathered. It is just a ball park estimation, but Bethesda said it will be coming some time around ... was in March? May? Next year, and the hardcore dedicated folk who track every little tidbit and know the history of their fav studio, many at least, have said about the same.... based on FO4...maybe... I think. So yeah, no CK for another good 6 to 8 months, most likely, and I would imagine that SFEdit is probably something already being nutted out as soon as game was released. I do not really use any of those, CK, Edit, Nif... but my ears prick up hearing them mentioned in relation to something like this, simply because being a modding pleb, they are incredibly important to facilitate the artistes out there making it so I can have a proper home like the lodge, and not some cheap plastic 70s failed Thai modernist pod resort, put my almost beloved Sarah or Andreja under the knife so they can be, that or just give me better, deeper, more complex and talented... and stunning.. waifus, or giving me all those new cool guns, ships and clothes, CAN do so.. and package it all up for me in a manner which means I just have to use my manager, and boom. Guess I have to hold out, and try not to get too sick of the game before they all come out..... or maybe getting sick of it is precisely what I need LOL... come back to it two years later like FO4... and find the community has created a whole new level of awesome experience for me, so as to make it feel like an entirely new game hehehe. Thanks for replying to me and explaining what was up.
  4. Ok so I am pretty familiar with modding Bethesda games... I do not like manually installing... but can......but this game and these mods have thrown up some questions. I am seeing a lot of mods talking about modifying one's .ini file to allow loose file installation. Fine. That was something I had to do for some mods off other sites for FO4..... .....but the thing is, I only needed do it once. Delete the existing parameters, copy the ones given me by the creator of one of the more popular companion mods in that game, paste them in to the .ini... done. Loose files enabled. But when I look around mods here and now for this game... I am seeing what seems like a lot of mods needing individual, specialized, ini modifications, different from each other. Is that right? If so, why is that? Is it because the SFCK has not dropped yet? Or because that allows the mods to work on console, without SFSE? I want to use some of these mods, but I prefer mod manager... I am old school, hardcore dedicated, NMM user, but was even willing to upgrade to Vortex to grab some SF mods..... but even with a Mod Manager, some of the mods I looked at, said that the next step regardless of if I used manual or vortex... I had to go mod the ini, and it did not look like the same mod to the ini, a previous mod would have needed me make. Is this all just because the game is so new, there is no CK, so there is less accessibility to mods for consoles for now, so people are trying to make their mods Xbox friendly? Will this change? Will invariably, once the CK is out, and the modscape gets much grander in scale, and moves towards SSE or FO4, do we think this will mark a return to manager mods that that set and forget? Or is these something innately baked in to this game which means this is the way one needs go about SF modding? Constantly adding to the ini every time you add a mods, or at least most mods?
  5. I am seeking a clothing mod, which has four simple criteria.... an item of apparel, in this case tank tops.... which if in a mod, is one which has no dependencies.......it is, or includes... the Vanilla body version (I know that is self evident by the lack of dependencies lol) and it be that those tank tops are unisex, so I can wear one, or my gals can wear one, or we can both wear them, and match that hottie Mama Murphy who used to site to find the tank top after the apocalypse, and rocks it with a thong combo straight outta my boyhood dreams.... namely, the specific kind called nightmares. There was a specific tank top mod on consoles, which I asked about in the requests forum, but that does not appear to be on PC either here or Bethesda.net, and every single tank top I have found bar one, is CBBE or a conversion to another custom body, not back to Vanilla, and the only Vanilla tanks are one clothing mod and one cut content mod.... which adds Mason/Gage tanks.... but their authors did not go the extra mile to tweak the tanks for female, so they are Male only. If anyone knows of ANY decent, good texture res, VANILLA, tanks... or even tanks for another body which someone has done a vanilla conversion of, I would love it if you could share the links, thanks.
  6. ...I am not sure if this is a place to request someone make a mod.... request information for extant mods.... or both? So I will post here. I am seeking a mod I cannot find.... but exists in some capacity because I have it on console. Namely there is a mod which lets you craft mashup combos, featuring both Mason's and Gage's tank tops, from the Nuka World DLC, with multiple different pants... I think plain jeans from T and Jeans, another one is the furry pants the the Pack wear, and one is .... perhaps... Disciples pants? The mod works for BOTH genders too. I know those tanks were MEANT to be buyable in game, but the last tiny tweaks to the female meshes could not be finished before release, so Bethesda nixed them, but the only mod I THINK I could see which does this, here on Nexus, for PC, was a cut content mod... and I do not think they had them for females. But on PS4, this mod was one of the best I ever found, given the prohibition Sony places on third party assets. So awesome in fact, I am kind of astounded it is not here on Nexus for PC, or seemingly on Bethesda.net. This has me thinking is might be very worthwhile asking, as maybe I just cannot find it, and it IS here, or someone saw it somewhere else, for PC. I am a little desperate, as I do not use any body mods or replacers...... and literally EVERYTHING seems to be for CBBE, or another body mod converting from CBBE.... I have not been able to find ONE tank top mashup combo which is Vanilla, hell, I have been lucky to find even a quarter of things I thought looked killer had ever been given a Vanilla conversion.... even that is generous, I think it is running about 1 in 10. The ONLY vanilla tank top combo I could find, was MALE ONLY... because the author did not bother with the tweaks the mesh needed to be Unisex. So that mod, if it is still around, and if it is on PC and someone knows where, will be a god send for me. Trying to recreate the nostalgia of my first playthrough like.... 5 years ago... maybe....6?.... where you and your beloved Cait, had taken to wearing Mason's and Gage's tank tops respectively, with jackboots and skinny jeans, almost like Buffalo Bill wears good girls who who not get the hose, to show the world we skinned the b*stards.... kind of isnt working, when I have no tank tops LOL. Cailt looks great in a slooty vault suit, dont get me wrong..... but those tanks with those lowers options, were the absolute BOMB, and I am really hoping the mod exists somewhere for PC. If not... if you know for a great tank top mashup combo, or even standalone tank top, for VANILLA, and STANDALONE, those two elements are critical, I prefer Unisex, but even if just for females, feel free to post a link.
  7. Vilja is the benchmark follower... but I am trying to recall.. I think... THINK there's at least one other I have that copied Emma, and put it in the custom AI.... I think that's going to be how you do this consistently.... by choosing followers which can be commanded to do this within their own UI because they have the AI for it.
  8. Auri from Song of The Green is not really corrupt, she also does not judge you, and rationalises away your membership of the Dark Brotherhood and the Thieves Guild, AND she's a Wood Elf, so a Cannibal anyway. She could be what you're looking for.
  9. So what's the follower? I have zero help... probably... to offer.. but I am nosy... so that counts for something :P
  10. I think anyone should make any follower mods... but I want to see ones with 10K plus voice dialogue, diverse personalities that are not just all sycophantic cookie cutters that sing too much, but with actual motivation as to WHY they are not, that look unique... nothing wrong with sexy... but Mr Universe muscles or triple E cups is not the only kind of sexy....so suire make them attractive... but without looking like they visited their local roid supplier or plastic surgeon before coming to Skyrim, with long multi-phase story arcs with multiple pathways, outcomes, and consequences, immersive AI, that makes them engage you, not just answer to you, as well the world around them, including other NPCs, not just places, along with the basic quest awareness all should have.... more than I want to see ANY other mods. So seeing Vanilla Female NPCs with Vanilla AI, Vanilla Voices, Vanilla combat and magic, Vanilla skills, and with ZERO to add but a high poly fantasy model face, and uber sexualised physique highlighted by gravity defying D Cups, come to dominate Follower mods makes me so forlorn. I rather there be NO follower mods for another two years, but the next one there is put Vilja to shame in terms of interaction, immersion, AI, and longevity, and look sexy, sure, but sexy with B or C cups, and maybe a slightly flatter butt, and be a little thinner than average, or tall enough to create the illusion of such, maybe a slightly lazy eye. Sure some things are sexy on women, and have been for centuries... but if she has nice thighs, flat stomach, accentuated hips, even those not be normal... maybe her frontal hip bones poke out like a famine victims shoulder blades, maybe her flat stomach scarred to f*ck, maybe her nice things have melanin issues and have color blotching. Gimme HER over some plastic porn star used as base in BodySlide then just Spinal Tapped all the way to 11 on top of that, with nothing else to recommend them. Same with male followers too for that matter.
  11. Also, look up Falka Armour on the SSE Nexus. Great set of realistic practical Female armour.
  12. I think it IS a real life picture, the armour is just LARP armour, but a very nicely realised one..... but the wearer still needs maille I say :P
  13. Also, since the armour in the pic you posted, seems to be essentially Lamminar... or by the time armour of that style was made... Aminar... well the folde, rerebracers, pauldrons and partially the vambraces too (only two sectional segment but stil).... and there is a HUGE amount of inner arm exposure too...... then she absolutely SHOULD be wearing a hulberk over her akaton. And chaucers over her hose, if she's wearing Lamminar cuises and greaves too. SOOOOOO.... not to put too finer point on it ....but.... that armour is also unrealistic, historically inaccurate.... and.... dare I say it... unimmersive!!!  *EDIT* OOOOOPS looks like she has a Lamminar GORGET too? Now now.. NO.. we do not want that... no no no... not without a Coif beneath. Segments allow movement, and segmented can be lighter... but moving segmented plates, need channels to move, and must mover over or under each other, that means GAPS.... significantly MORE gaps than Lamallar or Scale, and a LOT more than Brigandine, and FAR more than Plate. Gaps are death. Rondel Daggers love gaps, and hate you being alive. Lamminar needs Maille. She needs Maille. *Cries... * she's being unimmersive!!!!!!!!
  14. All of the dialogue said in game is easily accessed and all the voice types all only have a set amount. They are not acted that amazingly either, you'd only need a pool of actors as big as bethesda used themselves, too. They'd only need to do a passing job, with 'pretty good' sound quality. That would make it worth it. The only real issue would how much more custom dialogue you added and for which NPC's. Where it MIGHT get difficult... is MAIN characters. They have UNIQUE voices... well sort of. But then again it might NOT.... I mean... you probably are NOT going to get an amateur voice actor, who could do the job the great Max Von Sydow does as Esbern. or Christopher Pumber as ol' Aggi... HOWEVER...... both of those guys, for example, have had illustrious careers spanning well over 5 decades, including major roles right up until today. There is LITERALLY thousands and thousands of hours of their voices, in HD cinema quality to boot. A half decent audio editor, with some mid range tools, even just some higher end home, rather commercial, hardware and programes, would have little issue, more than likely, in crafting hundreds of additional dialogue lines for them in their own voices. It is all quite doable.. but you need the stars to align... you need folks who are good at writing and are creative enough to come up with deeper, more immersive dialogue and narratives for the NPC to be redone... then you need at least a gifted amateur voice actor/actress with the talent, to record those lines... then you need a willing modder to take the new voice, new dialogues, and code them in to that existing NPC. That is the hard bit.
  15. But it's not an either/or equation. I for one will say that given how rudimentary and shallow all vanilla followers are, and basically, the custom ones that rehash vanilla voice assets and use the vanilla framework, are, we ALWAYS need new followers. Vilja and Sofia and Inigo and Lucien, or Recorder and Auri and Kaidan, these should be the MAJORITY of Custom Followers. Every single one should be at least as deep and immersive as say, I dont know, Professor Doom, or Mirai, or Aurlyn Dawnstone (just let less effing buggy than the latter), but writing those names, I realise I can only name like three or four more truly Custom voiced followers *I* know of, and I actively scour Nexus for them. I think there's like one called Livia, and Ceasia, Ambriel, and Hoth, there's Neisa and Onean, Caesia, one called Evangeline, Anibriate too, and like, one Dark Elf chick who just whispers. Maybe there's more, but that's all I could find.... that's like what? 21? Check out how many Followers are on here. Maybe there's a few I missed, but I bet there's no more than 30. So actually, YES, we DEFINITELY absolutely NEED more proper custom followers. BUT... if we got them, if we had people making them again, if we had that talent bleeding over in to massive NPC revoicing project, too, then I am sure we'd get better combat dialogue as well. Once teams were assembled to actively work on ANY ONE of those three different things, there'd be a much greater chance of them working on something of the others too.
  16. Or just get a UNP body, and dont worry about having to have XMPSSE and FNIS and extra crap.
  17. [citations needed] Citations are needed for your claims. Which specific jurisdictions are you referring to in each of your statements? Is Nexus Mods even bound by the laws of those jurisdictions? If not, why would outside rules they apply to Nexus Mods? And which courts and which decisions, exactly? Well it depends on the angle too.... there's a few here.... mostly only because there is a paid service. Let's start with Jurisdictions. No. Nexus Mod's probably is NOT, as I believe they are Europe based? Yet I would not imagine in the UK, EU, or other EEC countries, similar laws would NOT apply in relation to minimum expectations for a paid service. In this instance, we're talking about anything from data security and handling of personal information, through functionality, based on reasonable expectation. I am sure that would differ from sovereign State to another, but there would more than likely BE laws, even if only via precedent and not code, though again, depends on how that works in jurisdiction, and there would be definite differences say between France, which uses Codified Law, and Britain which uses Common Law. As for things such as speech, again, it would come down to determinations of a reasonable expectation. Is there an established precedent that a consumer or customer, has a prerogative to use a medium provided for comment, to make justified adverse comment? Is it in the public interest for a host/market/retailer or other third party facilitator 'selling'...which is what a strong argument can be made that Premium Membership is.... a 'Product'...not enable, or support makers, manufacturers, providers, etc to suppress adverse comment in channels provided for commentary. Would this apply here? I am not sure on specifics. Yet I feel if it has not been established, it has grounds to be tested, and as I said, in other instances, Courts HAVE ruled in the negative, NO. My example of a food service sector review page, was based in a real case.... I will need to find the details, though I believe it was in the US, however, the general ratio of this specific platform and such concepts is not so far removed that it is not within possible purview of legal analysis. Again, yes, we are talking about slightly different cases in different jurisdictions, but the choice to moderate or enable an agency to do so, on a site, even one like this, can even be an issue... for example, and I am going back a way now.... but I believe there was precedent setting formative case going back almost 30 years now in the US, regarding free speech, hate speech, libel and such.... specifically, I think it was two providers, maybe AOL and Yahoo....{??}....essentially being sued for defamation. One company avoided an adverse finding because their policy was they did NOT moderate, or allow such, comments made by users.... whereas the other was not so lucky, because they DID, and that established not only responsibility, and but additional obligations, and was also then a focus for legal dialogue regarding these very issues we speak of. I will need to find the full details of all the cases......straight up though I can tell you in MY Jurisdiction....anything you 'Buy" new, has an implied warranty, and our department of fair trading and our consumer watchdog the ACCC, have repeatedly established the specifics and extent of this on a case by case basis on multiple occasions in the last 40 years. That one I can give you. The degree it applies to services is dependent on more complex issues, and it's still much more fluid than the precedent already set and well determined in relation to more concrete 'Good'.... however, this is also because it ties in with other legal and ethical considerations and often is related to sectors governed by two or three other codes and bodies relating to other aspects of their operations. Nevertheless, the weight of such might not legally apply, as you rightly demand to know, but it does give serious support to ethics of the position. I have not idea why so many of you are so incapable of seeing that.
  18. You're right... they are using them. Using them to block, delete, edit, or otherwise manipulate, tamper, or suppress VALID negative commentary, which the OPs was, is USING their powers.... it does not mean it might well constitute abusing them either. Nexus have a lot of users PAYING for this service. I am glad I did not now. That needs to mean something. It's not LONGER a FREE service, when you offer privilege for purchase, and then have customers who do so. THEY are now PAYING you NOT to have to be compromised by silence concerning a bad upload, or dissatisfaction with something.
  19. It's exceptionally poor form, in ANY forum, public, private, digital or material, to see dissatisfaction as insult or injury. Sorry, simple as that. When a person offers something for the consumption of other's, the public... which even on this site, we users ARE, then irrespective of the Site's owners, or the modders, or the arbiters between, or any other users for that matter, there will always be, no matter what, an implied prerogative of reply. That's human nature. And indeed, we see more and more even in digital mediums by private entities, real world courts setting precedent on this. If you offer something, and I accept it, and am then dissatisfied, your obligations are wholly dependent on the nature of the transaction, and in some jurisdictions, there is an automatic implied warranty on any "commercial" transaction (which I understand this is not, just exemplary), so even then, irrespective of parameters of the transaction within your own, or a third parties, policies, THAT is an obligation, HOWEVER, there is NO real world jurisdiction, which dictates that a 'Provider' be it seller, a gifter, or otherwise, can suppress critique by impinging upon the expression of the recipient/user/customer. In fact, in some jurisdictions, it is criminal for a third party host, to conspire with service providers, to edit, remove, hide, or otherwise tamper with critique... like a review website for example as it is deemed in the public interest for legitimate critique, favourable or NOT, to be accessible by consumers. Therefore, it is unreasonable to declare in this space, there can be no negative critique or expression of dissatisfaction with any 'Product", and to do so seems draconian and tyrannical. In fact, we have case precedent for websites being told by courts once a user who had the money expertise and time, decided to sue, that their ToS cannot trump certain given real world rights. I wonder why so many here are so scared of users being able, and more, allowed and encouraged, to express negative opinion about something they're procured from here? Very telling.
  20. Actually the thread was locked because you started hurling abuse and ranting incoherently because your previous post was shown to be entirely irrelevant to the discussion. The fact that you think you are the victim here is ridiculous given your immature reaction to someone disagreeing with you. Neither do I. There was nothing incoherent about my post, and had the thread remained open I could have proven it, yet there was no need to, as the closer acknowledged that a Mod author HAD indeed deleted comments I made. Additionally, warning someone of skating towards foolishness, at best, or blatant hypocrisy at worse, is NOT abuse. Sorry. Anyone who claims otherwise is a fragile sheltered privileged entity that really has no right being on any kind of public forum. If you think that I am speaking about you, that just reinforces my point. You certain come across as aggressive and defensive at once, as well as very arrogant. This thread had nothing to do with you, so it doesnt matter one JOT if you understand the VERY obvious point being made by the OP. Yet as you did right through the previous, now locked, post on the same issue, you wander in, go on the attack, then play victim when warned your arguments risk making you look foolish, or worse, a hypocrite. But you have the audacity to accuse ME of such? You are making trouble, and for NO valid reason. The OP made their post SPECIFICALLY because a thread on the subject of Mod Author abuses of power, was SHUT DOWN, by Nexus, and essentially, we were told 'This doesnt happen, Mod authors have rights, it is a toold for the bullshit they deal with, and if you dont like it, lump it"........ .......Vulcan witnessed that. Lo, behold, less than two days later, his own experiences demonstrated quite clearly this was still an issue. Hence the point of the thread since it seems to have gone over your head.
  21. Amicus? My youthful voice (nah for real, I am in my 40s and sound like I am barely a man), would not work for that I think, but I will keep an eye out an see what I can do testing my mic wise, with the simple recording capabilities I have, and if it works out, I might put my hand up for one of those apprentices.
  22. If you had the voice talent, especially FEMALE voice talent, and modders ready got too, you could have random NPCs revoiced... that's what the OP was saying.... we just took it and went further, noting that if the stars aligned to make THAT happen, then you could also have ALL NEW NPCs and new fully custom follower mods that built on the best of the best of the last four or five years, too.
  23. Finally, I find someone who I can believe when they say "I dont watch porn"..... HA!
  24. Careful, this topic will be locked. I already had this out with someone, when the previous thread was locked and my criticisms cited as having been reviewed by Nexus someones, and being something THEY would have blocked or deleted too. It's a simple fact, Nexus make money off this site, the site is fueled by the mods. Thus the Mod authors are granted FAR more leeway than USERS. When I pointed out that it is the USERS who attract the adds, and users who pay for membership, I was bluntly told that the data showed ever increasing user numbers, so Nexus had no concerns about alienating any with their policies. I was also told that Mod authors are hobbyists, there's no obligation upon them, even for the most basic QA, and Nexus generally speaking has no QA policy. That unless a mod was so toxic it broke systems, then it was what it was, and all obligations regarding are upon the user. Additionally I was told, essentially, that one must be polite to mod authors at all times. This is just how it is, not matter how f*cking ridiculous that can be in some contexts. The position is less than stellar, to quote an Nexus admins criticism of me. But it is what it is. Though if more people responded like Peacebringer, maybe they'd have no choice but to review that position. I am not a premium member, though I was about ready to become one, which I shant now, and more, I will now ensure my add/pop-up blocker is active here too. I am not saying mod Authors do NOT have deal with a f*** ton of BS comments, from uneducated users blaming their mods for things they are not responsible for, or making demands, but VALID criticism, and even VALID (no f*cks given what people say, sometimes it IS valid) bollockings, are always of value to end users, and Authors having the ability to delete, or even BLOCK users over them, and it then being up to US to file a complaint for abuse, is just bad business to me, as the motivation exists for Nexus to always side with modders. I think the uploader should bare the responsibility to refer the offending posts to Nexus, and THEY then act or not. Yes, might mean you gotta work a bit harder if you're Nexus, but better than these things happening.
  25. If you wife manages to sound like Heneri Hlaalu, I tip my hat to your patience and loving sufferance, and you are truly a man for whom beauty is more than skin deep... wait.... is that not what you're saying? Ok, right... welll...... um.... ...Ha... ah yes... let us not ever detract from the MAGNIFICENCE that is the goddess Emma, mother of Vilja...... BUT..... yeah... she really.... um... well... OK OK... let's just say it.... she needs a slap for that whole Heneri thing.... an example magnifique for why we do not cross gender voice talent with characters...... as hard as I laugh.... and in the context of Vilja.... it kinda works.... but not enough... just enough for me to use slap, singular, not plural.... ....but that's the thing.... I think there WOULD be more demand for male characters, well written and well voice acted, if there was a general uptick in good CC followers overall... it does appear that it's about 5 to 1... as in, every four or five top tier Female custom acted, written, and coded followers that make a splash.....it makes enough interest that those wanting a male one get loud enough get one. But yeah, I might need to start putting gun to the head of all the women in my life, and mic in front of them, and tell them to choose which one I pull the trigger on... ....er... well .....maybe not... we'll see...... but like I said... there seems to be a lot of creative people here who could WRITE a good story and make a good NPC or follower.... there is just a lot less voice talent, definitely female wise, and modders to give it life. If there's an increase in those, you'll something like the OP proposes happening. I definitely hope it does.
