  1. Would a lot of (new) people forget to set it unhidden if it was hidden at default? If not it would be a quick fix as long if is conveyed appropriately.
  2. Normally I'd say it'd be useless, but they've created a PC port for Ninja Blade later on too. So it's worth the try :P. The thing is, all they really need is something like this to gain the favour from some publishers. Even the moderators at their forums think it got some potential. It's almost hitting the 12,000 now.
  3. The reminder was supposed to be enabled at default, but that might have changed.
  4. It does. The only reason why it wouldn't show the files you've downloaded: - You're not premium, so it won't show files you downloaded more than a month ago - Files below 2mb that you downloaded without logging in. The server still tracks every single download you've done while logged in, the query done while loading the download history page just limits itself to a month if you're not premium. The Download history button isn't that difficult to spot: At preferences there is a setting that allows you to show a reminder to endorse. The trouble is that some have reported it's not working.
  5. My advice in order of importance vs your current system: -Better video card, that card is quite outdated. I'm on a low budget but I still got the HD 6770, which runs better than that one. The GTX560 is waaaay better than the AMD4580 and will make your games much more stunning. The most important part of newer video cards is that it has updated shader model versions and OpenGL that make the newest games look at their best (or even working in the first place). -More ram. 4gb might look much, but windows 7 already needs 1-1,5gb. Any games using more than 2gb will let you hit the 4gb limit quickly. (I had it recently upped to 8gb because I couldn't leave my browser open while gaming) -Better CPU. Quad core is the new standard, dual core is usually the minimum. So I recommend getting a better one. -Bigger hard disk. (Or SSD next to it) It's not a big problem, but 500gb will fill up quite quickly, it's wise to get at least 1tb if you want to have space for all games, upcoming games and your personal photos and HD videos. Others will probably give some examples what to get probably, so I'll leave that to them ;D. The only thing you should really pay attention to with, is that your motherboard is compatible with the Ram and CPU. Will it run the games? Yeah. Lineage II? Be sure to have a proper internet connection, close server , and have a lot of ram. Online games usually eat ram. People with bad connections playing an online game can lag a whole server btw.
  6. Happy new year to you to! Stay safe as well.
  7. Happy new year W.i.c.k.e.d.
  8. Happy new year silver! Lasst uns ein besseres Jahr!
  9. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you to. :)
  10. It doesn't matter what you use, both is fine. Today it just means the url is shorter as almost all browsers even support not using Http://. All that it indeed can cause is a bit of confusion as people are used to the www-part. Some sites force to use www (google) and some don't, like nexus. The only difference on here nexus or the forums for example, is that it won't generate proper bbcode unless you use Http://. The best thing to do? Use www anyway, the urls aren't that much short in the first place anyway and it avoids any possible confusion. It makes some difference if you have a small site and want to be noticed at google, but that's not the case here and thus at any choice it'll make little difference.
  11. I recommend reading this before you try out something like this on 32bit system or if you're getting errors. (It seems easy to undo luckily :) ) In other words: It's not 100% stable. If your system uses more than 1.5gb for kernel, as in your example where it gives 2.5gb to programs/1.5 to kernel, you'll get issues or a spam message saying you're out of space. The kernel space is NOT the minimum amount of ram used when no other programs are running. Some drivers want to use the 2gb space from the start (even though it doesn't need it or actually use it).
  12. It's been a while since you responded and more than a month passed, but I'll post it anyway. Sorry David, but an integrated graphics card can't run the newest pc games too well and most of the time not at all. Mostly as game or even graphics card devs pay little to no attention optimising to it. It's always the advice never to get integrated cards. It's an old trick of companies, but you're rather ripped off as.. the AMD 3200 series? The best PC in the store a year ago? That card is over 3 years old and the standard rule with integrated cards is that they are worse than their dedicated equivalent, usually dating it a year or more back even. The thing is with those cards is that they usually don't even have dedicated memory and they are horrendous on shading (usually 80% of the lag) and usually have a lag you can't tweak out with mere setting changes. Integrated cards just eat your RAM, which basically makes the game run even slower. Skyrim heavily depends on shaders and runs a lot of effects that strain video cards. Any smoke/dust/snowy winds in the game should be crippling. Remember HDR setting in oblivion? You don't even have a setting to turn it off with, while skyrim heavily relies on the usage of lighting. Something especially crippling for integrated cards. Your PC seems to have all the beef it needs, just buy a separate video card, then it'll run like magic. The HD3200 series even had some issues with browsers and 2D images, so it should make navigating this place even easier. Take a look at this chart before buying a card. If you're low on money, at least try to get one above 300 points at their scale and if you're going AMD/ATI again preferably one of the HD4000 series or above Some people have stated that if you could run oblivion you could skyrim, but that's with the assumption you already ran the game on high quality with it. Oblivion's a 5 year old game with even older graphics, you can't really compare the specs. Back then you didn't need more than 1 processor, you can't run skyrim on that any much either. You don't need to spend a lot of money 'usually' if you want to play skyrim. I never assembled my own PC before and this time I did, it just cost me 550 dollars. You only need to replace your video card (unless you have a laptop, which I hope you don't. It shouldn't be more than 180-200 bucks to get one like mine. Lower if you don't want to play on ultra or are low on money. Skyrim's a great game and can look astonishing if you ignore all the chatter about it lacking dx11 and HD textures and normals. You don't want to miss it out ;D.
  13. It's a mechanism it only shows the comments you appreciate. If you neg, it'll hide form view immediately. If you like, (as for example it's a good suggestion or answer) then it'll stick regardless of what anyone does.
  14. Complies to OP: Those keys are hanging from my case because there's an SD -USB attached to it ;D. The bag on the ground below contains my laptop. I like the desk a lot as it's provides me with a lot of space. Blame the quality to the evening and the camera not being able to cope with it. I've made a screenshot of the shot as 4000x3000 doesn't work if it's not getting more detailed . Don't worry too much about your setup, when I just moved my PC upstairs I had to use a laptop like that as well. >.>

    APB Reloaded

I have played it for 2 days now and I'm loving it so far. The game consists of 2 sides, the vigilantes (cops) and the gangs. I went in as a gang member and I'm liking the way you play a gta/saints row styled game on a multiplayer level. I've been burgling stores with cars, stealing their contents and selling it off to fences quite a lot. It even has the element that if you stash your car too much (or a particular truck) it'll slow down the car and fill up. The 'fun' part from being MMO is that other people smash your car, might even steal your van filled with stolen goods or either help instead. The second (actually first) element, the quests, is also fun and the end is that you'll only start then once you're saying your ready, else it's freeroaming for ya. The quests are neat most of the time, particularly the ones where your side of people would call for your help if they are getting overwhelmed by the other side, adding some bigger team gameplay. Groups aren't saved, but clans are..so you can quickly find each other in the game. It still has some bugs here and there and some weird car control system, usually connection wise and sometimes on markers, other than that it's a nice 'free' game with ofc a premium feature that makes things go twice as fast. Till the 19th of december you get free premium for 10 days. Anyone else that has picked up the game?
  16. It seems to work fine for me? -browsing works -downloading mods works
  17. That's not allowed, you buy a single language with the game and all other languages come with localised/different versions and would have to be bought separately. Yep, I would like to learn new languages this way as well but it can't be done in a manner else than all buying it for yourself personally. None can upload it as it's the same thing as uploading DLC, giving people access to content they didn't pay for.

    Hi all

Hi thar, welcome to the nexusforums. Stick to the rules and enjoy your stay  .
  19. Fake twitter accounts are old tricks. Don't spread them. His real account: link
  20. Morrowind had its fair deal of issues as well. I'm expecting major issues with the savegames once mods are out however. Skyrim doesn't beat morrowind and no game ever will, it's much better than oblivion though and I'm fine with that. Look at it this way, you can't create the exact same gameplay as else you'll get people complaining it's boring. The other end is that indeed that they've moved to more fableish classic rush RPG with less fantasy, but that ain't a direction we can change. All you can hope for is a shivering isles like expension pack with more fantasy/strange parts like morrowind, Skyrim massively selling won't get them off the direction they go though. They want to game to be playable for a far wider audience and that works for them. They'll keep doing it. You ended up playing it for 4 weeks, that doesn't sound bad.
  21. That'd be illegal, sorry. I'd wish learning different languages as well in this form, but none here can upload them for you as it is not allowed.
  22. You're fine to do this at your own leisure but don't expect to be able to release it. Porting content from game to game is a no-no at most places, including this one. The usual trouble you run into is a new filetype that doesn't work the other engine or a very strict folder structure that has to be kept to.
  23. I never take IGN's things for any value. I trust gamespy over them (same parent company even!) because they at least let you know when it's obvious they don't really mean something. IGN just gives bad ratings to games that don't fit their own tastes or didn't got enough incentives.
