I can't for the life of me figure out on my own what this means, so I thought I'd ask in here and HOPE someone will respond with something sensible that may help. The last few times I posted about a problem, I usually get 1 response only, and it usually seems as if the user/modder that responded has no knowledge of what I'm talking about. I am looking to get responses by those that are knowledgeable about it. The problem is, the game studders on and off every time I play it, quite often. So far I can't find any mods that will assist me with this problem that actually work, absolutely none. In all the time I've been playing Skyrim since it's release, no mods have ever come out that can help me except for SkyBoost, and since the author has abandoned that project, there is nothing for me to use anymore, and it makes Skyrim almost impossible to play without being pissed off at it, everyday. The only quickfix I could find was something I found on Google which tells us to open SkyrimPrefs.ini and change the value "iTexMipMapSkip=0" to "1", however the problem with doing that is that it causes the graphics to become ugly as hell, and I do not want to play it like that. Now, I know that my computer is more than capable of running the game, it even automatically chooses High as my graphics settings when I have no .ini files and the game puts them in. I am trying to understand what is going on here with this, and why that fixes the studdering, but also makes the game ugly, and can't seem to find another solution that does what that does, without making the game so ugly. Also, I am wanting to understand what all of the values in the .ini that starts with iTexMipMap (like iTexMipMapMinimum)do and if there some kind of compromise I can make, having a balance between looks and almost no-studdering so it'll atleast be less frustrating. I normally get no where with these posts, because no body usually responds that knows anything about this stuff... I HOPE SOMEBODY DOES... I don't know what else to do. Also, please be respectful, don't flame me - I don't come here to be treated like monster... I am a human being.

These are different than the old ones from the Arnald movies. Don't get me wrong, I loved the old movies, and Arnald was great, but this just looks grittier, and that makes me feel powerful if I can wield this stuff. The armor is meant to have 2 different sets that are somewhat similar, as you can see in the screens. There are 2 swords, the bigger one is called The Sword of Conan, and the one with a ramhead design on it is his Father's Sword. I know there is a mod for the old Conan armor and weapons but they are not like this. This is more what I'm looking for, I asked the author of that if he would make these with it, and I was told NO because he doesn't like them. So that is why I'm requesting, everyone is entitled to like what they want. Thank you for that information Reaper0021 - IT WORKED! I can finally play the game again! HOORAY! This is something that needs stickied, for in case others have this problem, it can be easily found!

I've spent an entire 2 and a half weeks trying to fix Skyrim, with Nexus mods... and it refuses to work. I can use Steam Workshop mods only, and have no problems, but if I install ANY and I mean ANY Nexus mods, then when I open the game up and click on NEW, the game stops responding. If I load a previous save, the game will go to a loading screen like normal, but shortly after it will CTD, every time. It's been doing this for 2 and a half weeks, no one seems to be able to help me, and I can't help myself. Bethesda won't help me, because they don't deal with modding, Steam Support doesn't support other site mods. So I'm left with The Nexus Forums to find help. I understand there is a lot of posts on the forums, and someone may or may not be able to help me, but I hope to God somebody can, because this is the most stressful thing I've ever experienced as an adult. Skyrim is my favorite game, and I haven't been able to play it for 2 and a half weeks. I don't like it unmodded, it's better modded. I don't like to give up, ever. But I can't do this on my own, I have tried long enough and got no where. I have the latest beta driver for Nvidia, the last time the game was playable with Nexus Mods, I had the latest Nvidia driver but no Beta driver. I won't get to do a lot of fixing to the game today, due to important things going on, but when I can - I'll read what you guys say, and respond when I can and work on it as we go. I have the same problem except with mine... if I install ANY mods, and I mean ANY from the Skyrim Nexus website, the game breaks and won't let me play. But if I just install mods from Steam Workshop, I do not have a problem... I don't know what's going on, but it's very very frustrating. I've been trying to fix it for the last 2 and a half weeks, and got no where... I don't know what to do anymore, I'm about to pull my hair out...

There is a lot of Stuck Up Modders as well. I thought I should put that out there. Ones that believe that no matter what there is no way anything could be the fault of their HOLIER THAN THOU MOD.

Nope, no Depth of Field mod.

If I choose not to use any mods at all, and have a fresh install of the game, I don't seem to have any problems. However, if I mod it - it refuses to take the textures/meshes I use from mods. For example, all the clothing enhancement mods out there that let you make them better quality... I install those, and the game refuses to use them, and the clothing is blurry, and ugly... I try to use texture replacements like Skyrim Realistic Overhaul and others like it, and it won't use those either, the world is blurry now, the only thing that seems to work is Water, and using mods that enhance that or make it better. Any mods that don't change, or alter the DLC HD textures/meshes in anyway, but either adds their own, or aren't texture/meshes mods at all, don't seem to have problems and will work just fine. I can't figure out what is going on, that is why I'm here. Bethesda won't help me, because it has to do with Mods and they said they don't do that kind of support for some reason. Also, Steam support won't help me and I have no idea why, it's been a couple months and they still won't reply to me. So I'm here, hoping the community of modders can assist me. Skyrim is my favorite game, but I don't like it unmodded. I'm tired of having to re-install the game fresh, everyday, trying to figure out what is wrong with it, when I don't have a clue what I'm doing. Please help me, this is very stressful. I to am having this problem, with a brand new computer. I reinstalled Skyrim from my disk, updated it via Steam, then it runs no problem if I don't mod it. But if I start to mod it, it breaks the game, and meshes will end up missing, and sometimes I get trailing effects on objects and people that move, as if it's a ghost of some type, and sometimes objects and people are semi-transparent. I did a Google search and that is suppose to be an ATI issue, but I have an Nvidia card, not ATI. I tried what they said to do with ATI on my Nvidia Control Panel anyway, and that helped, but it didn't fix it entirely. I've tried everything I can think of, I've updated all drivers and software that games use, and I cleaned my registry, cleaned my disk space, clean my computer, and disabled one mod at a time to see if it was a mod conflict causing it, and so far, no luck. I've gotten to the point where I've disabled every mod available, and it still occurs. But if I re-install the game again, and not use any mods at all, it works... it's very weird. I don't know if it's because I use DLC fix mod, and a few other fix mods, and such... that fix problems in the game that the developers screwed up on. It seems more and more that this game was released way too soon, and needed bugs fixed and such first... but they were either lazy, or impatient and wanted to make money RIGHT AWAY. It's a shame really. I'm at a loss. By the way - EireElf317: Under your Display section there, there whould be a graphics card listed, like above, since there isn't - that can definitely cause a problem.

I brought this to the attention of the armor author of such armors as Hedge Knight, and he said he'll put it on his request list, but he has a lot of projects on his plate right now, so it might not get done in a long long time, unless someone else with really good texturing skills could come up with this armor. I just don't want it to turn out bad. It has to look as identical as possible to what's in those pictures there.

I thought this would be a good idea, but I just don't know how to do it myself, so I thought I'd request this. I find it odd that female housecarls use a male walk, even though it's suitable persay, because without that walk with Vanilla game, they wouldn't look like they're ready to defend you with their life, at all times (Lydia for example). So I was asking another mod developer about it, and I decided to open a mod request thread for it. Hoping somebody will pick up on it, and be interested in making a "Custom Female Housecarl Walk". The goal is to make a walk that is female like, considering females have wider hips than male, they should swing their hips to a more noticeable degree, but nothing over the top, but for the female housecarls not only should they do that, but they should also seem tough and ready to defend you with their life when you see them walk. This may or may not be a complicated task, depending on the skill of the author of said mod (that decides to take it on). It's not something that I feel I can't live without, but it's something I do want to use in Skyrim. If no one ever takes it on, and makes it... I will live just fine of course, I just think it's worth having this. Thanks for your time.

Especially what the main character wears, the Knight appointed by the Church. There is an armor type on the nexus that is similar, but it's not exact. I'm looking for exact. I'm also willing to help in the project as best I can, with my schedule. I am specialized in Adobe Photoshop, and I have designed various different projects over the last 8 years that I've been using Adobe Photoshop (various versions). I am not familiar with 3D, and I have never made anything in 3D before. I hope someone is willing to take this on. I actually did that, but it still refused to work, so I deleted my data folder, and Steam said that 24 files that were important for the game to run were missing, so it has to reinstall them... and that's taking just as long as it would to reinstall the entire game. In the end, I had no choice but to reinstall the entire game technically... annoying, but I'll never bother that ENB again. I have no idea if I even wanna risk using ANY of them now that this was such a hard thing to remove... and all the devastation it caused. Super isn't even half of what it should be called...

I downloaded, and followed install instructions of the following mod: Super Realistic Cinema ENB. After installing it, right after character creation the game screen turns black, the game stops functioning, so I hit Ctrl+Alt+Del and open Task Manager, and next to Skyrim it says "NOT RESPONDING", so I end task... windows tries to find a solution but doesn't actually find one. Then the game closes, and this problem stays the same, no matter what I do - unless I fully reinstall the game again... and that can take so long. I just want to be able to play the game again, the author of Super Realistic Cinema ENB, doesn't speak English very well, and doesn't have a very good informative direction on what to do on the mod page, in fact there isn't even an uninstall direction. That is why I'm here. I can't remove his ENB, no matter how hard I try. I found each file that was associated with the ENB, but it's as if there are some files still there that I can't see because the problem still persists, and before I installed the ENB, I didn't have a problem. Can someone please help me figure this out? Thank you. Also: I didn't mean any disrespect to the author of Super Realistic Cinema ENB - I'm just trying to provide as much information as I can in hopes to gain help in fixing this, so I can play the game again, without having to reinstall it.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I have tried that and now I can't play the game at all... because I can't figure out how to uninstall it after it caused me problems, and the author doesn't speak English very well at all... otherwise he would have managed to have better detailed instructions on install, and have uninstall instructions... but there is no uninstall instructions. So now I have to reinstall the game completely, not just verify files, thanks to http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=16327 I could try another one later, but I am going to be 100% sure that the one I choose to use from now on, has better detailed instructions, easier to set up and install, and easy uninstall instructions. If not, then I'm risking it all doing it, and would choose not to. I'm so frustrated, I can't believe it's so hard just to get this...

I think you misunderstand me. I don't want to run at any resolultion, I want to run at 1920x1080, with the cinema style top and bottom black bars, like a widescreen movie would have... but it doesn't have the option and at some point I remember being able to get the cinema effect to work, but I don't remember how I did it. I want to know how to get that, not change my resolution.

I look through the options for resolution and I notice that there is no letter boxing for 1920x1080 res, which is what I have. I would like to have that cinema box on bottom and top, like I'm watching a movie in 1920x1080 while I play the game. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to turn it on for 1920x1080. I've done multiple Google searches, but not finding anything related to my situation 'exactly'. Can someone please assist me in getting this to work? Note: Changing to one of the resolutions that do say [letterbox] next to them, doesn't actually add the boxes. Thanks.
