LE Killing a Dragon at Bleak Falls Barrow
Redbeard007 replied to huntsman2310's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
My current character in Skyrim had an unusual experience when going the first time to Bleak Falls Barrow. Keep in mind that this is after having "Bellyaches new Dragon Species" mod installed when the game started. Just after arriving in Riverwood in the process of going to Bleak Falls Barrow my character was attacked by one of the 'new' dragon species and after some serious combat finally killed the dragon and absorbed the dragon soul. Going on, after returning the quest item to the court wizard everything went as usual except for me having the one dragon soul in my inventory. Then the dragon attacks the northwatch tower and the jarl requesting that you accompany Ireleth to defeat the dragon attacking northwatch tower. After killing that dragon (second dragon) and absorbing the dragon soul the Shout menu appears and the first shout is given not requiring a dragon soul to unlock it. After completing the 'shout' after defeating the second dragon the shout menu showed the Unrelenting force shout with the one word of power and at the bottom right it showed I had 2 available dragon souls to use to unlock other words of power. It seems if you have the "Bellyaches New Dragon Species" mod installed you have a head start in collecting the dragon souls. -
LE Slow - Possible To Make It An Enchantment?
Redbeard007 replied to Kodiak412's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
If you have the "Slow Time" shout you already have the 'slow' movement down. -
It seems that there are several mod requests for the companions quest line(s) within the mod request thread. It may be time to rethink all of the mod requests for this mod and completely rewrite the entire quest set for the companions tweaking things throughout to include some of the many requests that are mentioned in the mod request thread. I for one still insist on NOT being forced to become an agent of hircine. Having read through some of the many requests for mods in this "Companion quest line" I find that many of the requests are reasonable and make this quest line more challenging and lore friendly. Also, may I ask that all of the mod requests for this quest line be arranged together for a more comprehensive view of all mod requests relating to the companions.

Should anyone start this project please think about my mod request to make it possible for the player NOT to be forced to partake of the 'beastblood' of hircine.

I have looked through all of the plants and ingredients effects and can find NONE that would provide any alchemy boosts or enhancements. For a formula there needs to be at least two ingredients with the same boost or enhancement to make a formula but if there was a third it may make the formula stronger or provide an extra enhancement. The "fortify alchemy" trait seems to be left out of the alchemical agents in this game. This game needs to have this type of ingredient(s) to make a formula to fortify the alchemy skill similar to smithing or enchanting formulas do.

Remember folks, the companions' history is tainted because of deception of a harbinger some 300 years in the past and now the time has come to remedy the problem. Hopefully the solution can be found without being forced to become a werewolf by another act of deception of the current harbinger Kodlak by two of his subordinates Aela & Skjor. By keeping this 'as is' the record is never clean because in the final act of deception by Aela & Skjor the absolute trust in a shield sibling is sullied. The final act of the Harbinger is to resolve and settle disputes among the lower ranking individuals and since the ability to inform the harbinger about this problem even if you choose to NOT become a werewolf can never be pursued because the dialog option(s) do not appear. Because of all of this I still ask that a mod be developed to correct all the the deception and keep the beastblood from being forced upon you,

The Companions are built on honor, valor, respect & strength and skill in combat. There is NO honor when Skjor & Aela bring a person without the harbingers knowledge into the the underforge to become a werewolf. How is this act a show of respect when deception is involved? Yes, this condition is reversible but at this point you do not know that for a fact. If you have spoken to the harbinger then you are aware that he is currently looking to find a cure that you needn't worry about it at this time.

LE MOD Request ... For the ability to wear two rings
Redbeard007 posted a topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
I have noticed that in most of the elder scrolls games the ability to wear two different rings at the same time is commonplace yet in the Skyrim world only one ring is permitted. I would like to see a mod allowing the player to wear two rings at the same time as in the other Elder Scrolls game worlds. I hereby withdraw my request for this mod. The mod I was looking for already exists! -
A possible solution for this would be a series of short quests specifically for a potential "Circle" member to prove loyalty, honor and valor under various conditions pertaining to the quest given. Possibly 5 short quests and then a quest involving the entire "Circle" to achieve an objective for the 'good of the companions' as a whole. This to me would be more inline with the overall objectives of the companions rather than by use of deception behind the harbingers back.

After playing through this game several times I find that the training is somewhat lacking. I agree that the 5 training sessions per level is fine but when one has accumulated enough points to advance through several levels at one time you miss 5 training sessions per level on the multiple level advances. When my character first came into this game I somehow accumulated enough points to advance through 8 levels and because of the multiple levels advanced through I missed the opportunity for the training on 7 of the 8 levels. There has to be a way for the missed sessions to add up and be allowed and accumulated for training at the end of the multilevel advance. For 8 levels there would have been a total of 40 training sessions accumulated but only 5 of them are allowed because in the process of leveling up there is no opportunity to stop the level advance to allow for training in each subsequent level until the end of the total level up process. In this instance I lost 35 training sessions. Can anyone think of a way to fix the training to allow for this kind of leveling? Can this be adjusted to compensate for the loss of training sessions?

It seems that honor, feats of strength & skill through fighting and the ability to follow orders are the only traits that bring security and respect to the companions. Aside from that, when being a werewolf you are never able to get the "well rested" because of the beast blood. Also, the fact that the ritual Skjor and Aela perform are done without the harbingers knowledge is not honorable or respectful when looking from the harbingers point of view.

I am trying to find a mod developer that would develop a mod that would allow the player to become a companion and not be forced to become a werewolf. As it stands now, in order to complete all of the companion quests you are forced to become a werewolf. Once your are accepted into the companions and then get invited into the underforge after a few side quests for them you have to become a werewolf to complete the questline. I would like for the ability to refuse the werewolf blood and be able to finish the companion questline. I hope that some others feel as I do that it should really be an option and not be forced to become a werewolf. When does showing dishonor make one an honorable individual? When reading through the harbinger's journal after he is killed by the silverhand it states that the "beast blood" has only plagued the companions for 300 years and only then through the deceit of the harbinger at the time. Before that incident of deceit from the Glenmoril witches the blood was pure. It states that for thousands of years the companions were not plagued by the "beast blood" and that came to be through deceit. Even an honorable person can be deceived as shown twice with the companions first the original act of deceit with the Glenmoril witches and second by Aela and Skjor in the underforge by not letting the harbinger know what they are doing. This seems like dishonor and not honor.
